Sherry, always remember that, this is YOUR CHANNEL. 99.9% of us are here because we love the way you decorate, flip, furnish..etc., we love your style. Isn’t the point of watching others craft and style, to give others ideas we haven’t thought of? The point is, that most of us are not going to copy everything to the letter, that you do. We are going to give it our own flair, by color, material, or maybe completely change several things! MAYBE, we just might copy something you have done, to the letter. It is up to the individual to craft and build as we see fit. If someone is going to complain that you take it too far sometimes, then I guess they don’t have the willpower, and don’t feel they have the power to make changes. Doing something verbatim, is easy. Going outside of the box, and thinking for yourself is not only freeing, but makes you use your imagination, and use your skills, or gain a new skill that you don’t have. I know it has to be infuriating, and hurtful to read such things. People that say such things, can’t just turn you off, or follow someone else, and they don’t care whose feelings they hurt. They can’t think for themselves..AT ALL. If they could, they wouldn’t make such hurtful comments, and they would simply unsubscribe, and move on, (IF ADDING A BOW, a few pearls, AND A BIRD, was too much for them to handle!..LOL.) I mean really!!… You be you, and just block them. None of us want to read what they have to say, especially when it’s hurtful to you! 💜💜💜

I’m not sure why I mentioned this particular comment in today’s video. I guess there was a part of me that wondered if other viewers felt that way, too. I know that I am not a minimalist, and I don’t think I could be one even if I tried. I’m very glad that most viewers can watch my videos and take away the ideas they like and be nice about those they don’t.

I watch many youtubers who thrift and repurpose and decorate. I watch them all because everyone's style is somehow unique to them. Two could do a project with same materials and they would come out at least slightly different. This is what is great about artists, and yes, you are an artist, Sherry. I am one too, so i should know. It takes a certain creative ability to do this and its a blessing to have that creativity. Dont ever change your style. We come to your channel to see your style, not anyone elses. The embellishments on the pumpkin look great. There are many many youtubers who do a more minimal approach. If anyone wants that, there are plenty of them to watch. But, theres only one Sherry. One Canterbury Cottage. Let your creativity flow, for when you do that, you do your best work. Not to mention, no one has to recreate these things exactly as you do them. Anyone can change, tweak, or leave out a few embellishments if they wish. I really like your concept of how you like to create an autumnal vibe: muted colors and textures, not necessarily pumpkins and other “traditional” fall items.
