Congratulations Maya :D 7:08 For anyone wondering, the guy screaming is telling everyone to finish eating, go to the toilet if needed and get back to the truck as the truck is prepaid for x amount of time driving to each students homes to celebrate with their family, but if they take too long at one house, the time for the route would exceed the prepaid time and they all have to pay extra for the extra time spend, hints the reason for someone managing the time table as almost everyone is too drunk to keep the time :'D
The driver has a set amount of time he can be driving, there is also breaks he has to have, which he of course has where they schedule a bit longer stop.
i have driven with students before they pay us for like a day of driving witch is like 9 hours in total 4:30 hours of driving then a 45 min mandatory break and then another 4:30 hours of driving and then if need be the driver can bump it up one hour more after another 45 min break if need be ( this can only be done twice a week) and we where told to set aside 30 min per house but with the company i worked for the graduating class paid the amount we asked and then we drove them so we weren't paid based on time (this was only the company i worked for some other companies might do it differently) just noticed the !amok labled truck at 4:51 (the company i worked for) fun to see one of the trucks i drove (they are treatable to drive in the clutch is horriable)

Agreed, I got so nostalgic watching this, awesome video! I would like to add though that students often wear their hats in pubilc around one or two weeks or like everywhere they go, where random people congratulate them. Also at the stop, it is so aqurate with the very little time, caos, bieng impressed with family, food or house, telling family members they are grateful for the student, the food or other.
What Americans probably won't get... this started at 9 in the morning... and went like that ALL DAY! (And probably the day after) - they had beer on the Vogn, and there's probably a case of beer at each stop.
From the day I graduated I didn't stop drinking for 3 weeks straight. It took 3 weeks from the day I stopped until I felt sober. Never doing it again, but it was amazing.
My father made flæskestegs sandwiches at our stop. All the boys showed him so much love, just like these guys did to you. This video reminds me of it. Thank you so much. And congratulations to all of you!
Reminder to myself, when my oldest reaches graduation age, have a 2,5 kW charging station ready for the youngsters... or perhaps just a box of powerbanks with cables 😀 Congrats Maya, and congrats to the entire family. Some years ago my neighbours posted a warning about noise from a studenterfest as their oldest daughter was graduating. Turned out it was the last stop on the trip, and they were all so tired that there was no noise at all. Godspeed to you all.
Congratulations with the hat 🎉 I got mine in 2010 and it's fun to see how different traditions can be with the same event - the whole beer pong (and variations of that) wasn't and still doesn't seem to be a thing here in Jylland. Where I live they have a day where the new graduates meet at a central square in the city (in the middle of the main shopping street) and dance around beech trees. In other cities they dance around a specific statue or fountain. It's like a sort of passover ritual, I guess 😅
I'm 54, my daughter 26 - and this was a trip down memory lane from when she and I graduated 😊 And dad offering water - smart move 👍 PS! Sorry for introducing Maya to the danish drinking culture 😁 Congrats Maya 🎉🎉

I think different cities/schools have different traditions. Like here we have a statue in the city center, that every graduate bus goes to and then do a small party with. Some take a group picture with it. Some also have a song they sing at the statue. As far as I recall it’s considered good luck for your future.

Congratulations! I think it's impressive! I moved to Denmark in 1972 , 18 years old. I tried going to Gymnasium but I didn't understand enough Danish. So I worked for some years in a Børnehave and a Fritidshjem and started taking HF enkelt fag. By the time I was in my early 30s I was studying English at Aarhus University. I went on to teach foreigners Danish and then worked with teaching Asylum seekers. I knew first hand how difficult the language is and I have seen discrimination. I have worked politically with integration in the Kommune and now volunteer with Røde Kors Integration.❤
I'm a native Dane. I Grew up in a lower middle class family in a 'Ghetto'. I salute you, for your accomplishments, and what you do. It's important stuff. Being an immigrant of low means in Denmark is not easy. Getting help with learning the language early on, is essential. If you are to give yourself and your children a decent chance, at a good future. Especially if you get put in social housing, with few native Danes, when you first arrive. Discrimination is a real problem, and it's getting worse. Our Integration policy has been abysmal, since atleast the early 90's. Who would have thought, that isolating newcomers in areas, where they get limited chances of interacting with ethnic Danes, could be bad for integration. /s

It's so weird seeing Maya graduate. The youngest in my friend group also graduated this summer, so it's just funny to compare the journeys with Maya, and how it's finally over.

I think different cities/schools have different traditions. Like here we have a statue in the city center, that every graduate bus goes to and then do a small party with. Some take a group picture with it. Some also have a song they sing at the statue. As far as I recall it’s considered good luck for your future.

Congratulations! I think it's impressive! I moved to Denmark in 1972 , 18 years old. I tried going to Gymnasium but I didn't understand enough Danish. So I worked for some years in a Børnehave and a Fritidshjem and started taking HF enkelt fag. By the time I was in my early 30s I was studying English at Aarhus University. I went on to teach foreigners Danish and then worked with teaching Asylum seekers. I knew first hand how difficult the language is and I have seen discrimination. I have worked politically with integration in the Kommune and now volunteer with Røde Kors Integration.❤

I Grew up in a lower middle class family in a 'Ghetto'.
I salute you, for your accomplishments, and what you do. It's important stuff.
Being an immigrant of low means in Denmark is not easy. Getting help with learning the language early on, is essential. If you are to give yourself and your children a decent chance, at a good future.
Especially if you get put in social housing, with few native Danes, when you first arrive.
Discrimination is a real problem, and it's getting worse.
Our Integration policy has been abysmal, since atleast the early 90's.
Who would have thought, that isolating newcomers in areas, where they get limited chances of interacting with ethnic Danes, could be bad for integration. /s
