Wow, this is the best tutorial I found on the internet. All my questions have been answered in this video. For example, I will say that there is no such precise video on the Polish TH-cam. Greetings!

I'm 48 and remember the butterflies of the early 80s. Recently I purchased an older bone handle butterfly knife with brass bolsters . On bottom latch is a faded " Philippines" stamped in to the latch. Brass sides and bolsters. I was told it is a WWII era made balisong. I got this with a 1970s? Valor Miami balisong. Stainless steel handles. Both are pretty loose and I don't want to damage these by trying to tighten pins myself. Because basically I don't know how to. The older one has a wicked blade I've never seen in my life. Send me your email and I'll send you pics if you like to see.

can you help me, i lost the screws for the left side of my ballisong so i cant attach it to the blade, where can i find screws or pivots for the ballisong
Hello, i dont expect that someone is going to answer me but i am going to ask anyway. So i gave my butterfly knife to my cousin and 2 of the screws from 2:25 fell out. Does someone know what kind of screws they are and where i am going to find them?
I bought a cheap balisong and ive been trying to unscrewing it for an hour and it doesnt seem to work i tried unscrewing to the left then to the right and it doesnt work at all, any ideas?
What mm is the screws because my screws came off and I lost them and I don’t wanna buy a other one so please what mm is the screws for the butterfly knife
I got my practice butterfly knife 2 hours ago and the pin that keeps the blade semetrical to the handle has already fallen out pleas e help me and the pin gel in to my maze carpet
Can anyone give me some advice. I bought a balisong for £27 I was happy with it until I took the Alan key shaped thing for tightening the torx screws on the pivots. I tightened it too much and I had slipped a few times that I managed to strip it enough that I cant a grip to loosen. Is there a solution to this problem?
Any tips? I have done this couble of times but loctite never gets hard. After 24h it is still wet and screw just loosens. I have cleaned screws but I just cant get the stuff hardened.
Teflon tape or plumbers tape works quite well but if you don't have access to that the ghetto way Saran Wrap or plastic wrap from the kitchen a single layer wrap around the screw will help hold it in place
I put so much loctite blue 242 on my Triage it leaked out of the pivot, makibg the knife hard to open. I then tried unscrewing the pivot, and stripped the t8 screw... FML, should've watched this before trying to loctite for the first time. Luckily Benchmade has a kickass warranty and I'm sure they'll fix her up beautifully.
I’m thinking of loctiteing my premium rep. but I don’t really understand what loctite really does. If your reading this please explain what it does. Thanks.
Knives Gadgets & More Its a threadlocker that cures to seal the threads in a screw or any gaps like in the pivots here. The strength of the seal depends on what loctite you're using, but never use red because it permanently bonds it to the metal.

A couple things one I use red loctite 2 my loctite is more liquid and 3 I put a drop in the pivots and now I can’t put my screw back in there’s to much shit in the piviots
Lost a washer for a new knife, I was taking off the latch because it was crap. And I can't seem to figure out where it went. Do I need it for sure? And if I do where should I go to get a replacement?
It is pretty important especially if it's a balisong you can probably find them at a hardware store Ace Home Depot Lowe's take another one with you to make sure you get the right size can find them online but be sure to take close measurements so you get ones that fit if you don't really care about smoothness and you can't do any of that you can make one find some really hard thin material nylon plastic whatever and cut and sand it to shape it won't work very well but it'll work (I've done this)
Can you reply to this comment with an Amazon link to the repair kit you used? Or he type of screws and screwdriver I really need that screwdriver and extra screws
I would not suggest it technically you can if you use a very very small amount and be absolutely certain it does not spread anywhere in the pivot super glue is thin it runs like water and will ruin washers you can but I wouldn't recommend it
Tim yes or no for red Loctite it will work but red is supposably permanent you can undo it with heat but it will make adjusting the pivot in the future much more difficult however if you set it properly and be very careful to get it just right the red Loctite will hold it there so theoretically no adjustment should be needed in the future
Yes it does the purple will work but not as well as the blue purple is low strength blue is medium strength red is semi-permanent you don't want to use red it will make it much more difficult to disassemble the knife in the future
You've probably gotten this question more times than you care to count, but I couldn't find an answer, so what is up with the black mark on your right thumb in every video?
Babble Licious the majority of knives you wouldn't need to disassemble to apply Loctite pulling the screws out and clean them is good enough this knife just so happened to already be disassembled I didn't disassemble to Loctite I was locktiteing during reassembly
ann mitchell that's tough to get exact parts you would need specific measurements the best place to order them is online but I would say take the female portion to a hardware store and find a screw that fits it won't look good but it'll work

No Loctite works like glue it hardens keeping the screw from moving you want to set it to where you want it and then let it cure however once the channels in the screw are filled you may be able to move the screw slightly without affecting the effectiveness of the Loctite but you really want to get it where you want it and then let it dry
This channel is awesome because you post frequently, you know what you're talking about and you do it for fun. I love your videos keep it up.

wash your hands bruh after applying it several times, yes. Although the Bali I got was a really shitty one, but it did work very well.

"Torx" drivers like T5, T6, T10

What screw set are you using?
You should get a Benchmade model 85, because they have magnetic latches.
How did you take the screw out in the first place? I’m having trouble holding onto the pivot with pliers and anything else
You really need two of the same drivers to do it. Normally a T8 for the screws on either side of the pivot.
Which strength of loctite do you use?
Its 242

Huh. Interesting take it apart wipe it all down and do it again fingernail polish remover will help strip off the build-up off
Thanks, I don't want to buy a 50$ trainer and then mess it all up, because I'm currently extremely poor
Huh... Interesting
Whats loctite?
What kind of lubricant do u use
Which kind of screws are on the butterfly knife and where are they located?
Should I use Loctite 242 or 243? In Amazon Spain Loctite 243 is a lot cheaper, but in most tutorials I've seen they use Loctite 242 for balisongs.
You need 242 since 243 is super glue while 242 is able to be removed.
Loctited my balis. Never realized how hard it is to loctite; way more watery than I thought it was/would be.
Steve Cheh I know right and it spreads through Parts like oil but definitely cool stuff

I have one of this (ccc as I’ve learned they’re called 😂). It has the pivots on the blade. The thing is that the knife is not closing/open entirely. I see the problem. It’s easy to fix. Sand the pivot or sand the handle in the part that hits the pivot (also found that it’s called the cup, or similar).
The question is: would you sand the handle? Or the pivot?
i believe to set loc tite you have to tighten them all the way to start the bonding process. then after 24 hours i thought you could move it.
No Loctite works like glue it hardens keeping the screw from moving you want to set it to where you want it and then let it cure however once the channels in the screw are filled you may be able to move the screw slightly without affecting the effectiveness of the Loctite but you really want to get it where you want it and then let it dry
Anyone know if I can do this with Gorilla glue? I'm not planning to modify my knife so permanence isn't an issue
