i flip my phone all the time (i have a good case) so i got a trainer and ill start flipping that, learned the horiz thumb roll ages ago on an old real balisong...hoping to get back into it
i really like that hes teaching this in a way that helps with combos, that's good for beginners to learn and not to just do individual tricks one after another

Earlier today I came up with taking it from the standard closed position just dropping the handle furthest from me and swinging up and catching it icepick style and got this video up to see if that's close to the "right" way of doing it. I'll have to try it this way too

If you wanna try but don't wanna cut your finger, you can use a training knife. The blade is not sharp and you won't get your fingers cut.

Bought one of yall less expensive trainers a few years ago. I lost interest in about 6 months because I suck. My buddy borrowed it about 6 months ago and he killing. Caveat; he doesn't work and I'm averaging 60hrs a week
