As an Amber main, I never expected her to be a great dps, I just mained her because I loved her hair, turns out she did great and I crowned her 3 months ago, no regrets ♡
I love the mentality of the starter 4 mains as a triple crown kaeya main myself. We know they’re not the best in terms of numbers but we still invest a lot to reach their best potential because we love their character so much.
To be honest Amber is actually best user of machine gun strategy. The strategy is that you hold down your auto attack button and as soon as you go to the charge shot camera you release the mouse button repeatedly. It's really hard to do and takes a lot of practice but if you get use to it it's crazy good. I recommend checking our Rintaichou to see how good is it

Amber has always been better than most people give her credit for. Her pyro bow combination also ends up being very useful in the open world for puzzles and the bunnies make a great distraction when you want to avoid fights, so leveling her just for the amount of use she'll get thru the entire game there isn't a waste.
you need c2 and c4 to unlock her full potential as otherwise the barron bunnies are pretty bad as all they are good for is distracting, they dont provide any other value
The level doesn't really affect your exploration, a lvl 1 sayu is not gonna be different catching crystalflies than a lvl 90 sayu, and using the bunnies just to avoid fight is really pointless when you can just run away from the enemies. Not to take anything away from her usefulness in some open world scenarios but to level her up for those reasons is just a waste of resources.
How many times are people gonna say this? There are other people who have helped us(Liyue qixing, literally all the archons). Besides, her ‘help’ was her putting posters in the most random and inaccessible players, how does that help? And really how could anyone help, other than the archons, nobody knows the abyss sibling, so really what can they do to help the traveler? Sorry for the rant, just tired of seeing people ignore everyone else who helped the traveler and copy pasting this comment on every amber related video. Just to be clear, I still appreciate the gesture from amber, I just do t like how much it’s exaggerated
Makes me want to do a Pyro amber, big charge hits to start combat, potentially big baron bunny bombs and enough er to constantly burst off cool down. I wouldn't mind a support amber either with just Noblesse and maybe favonius. Still pop some great bursts and occasional decoys. I think for a Baron bunny nuke build, you would skip a Pyro goblet with how the bunny explosion works but otherwise you'd want one unless you were going physical amber
Amber legitimately is actually pretty good, if you actually put in the effort to level to her. Admittedly it does take a LOT of investment to make her good, but if you like her (like I do), it's totally worth it! Kind of annoys me that so many people dump her in her own 'Trash' tier when doing tier lists. They just write her off as being awful. I 'mained' her for about a year, and got her up to C6, 9, 12, 12 on her talents with an R5 Windblume Ode bow, with 2,477 ATK, and to this day she still surprises me with how hard she hits! Her artifacts aren't even that good either, and her CR/CD could be A LOT better, but she still hits like a truck! Admittedly she's been benched for quite a long time now, ever since I got a C6 Yanfei and then triple crowned my Hu Tao (and went on to get a ton of other heavy hitting 5-stars), but every now and then I'll pull out my old Amber and she still surprises me with how hard she hits. One day I'll actually get round to sorting out her artifacts and get her Crit Rate and Crit Damage better and turn her into an absolute monster of a unit lol
I mean outside of liking her, there is no reasons to pick her over other characters. As a physical dps, she’s alright, but fischl is just a better option for that role. As a charged shot dps, she’s alright, nothing crazy. Usable in open world, in abyss, not so much. Nuke dps too is alright, with her c2 it’s pretty decent but it’s the same story as her charged shot build. As a pyro dps top, yanfei is stronger and with the lantern rite event coming up, people have the option to get her for free. As a support, her elemental skill can taunt but it’s not worth having a whole slot just for that. Taunts can be pretty unreliable since the enemies can still hit you, baron bunny can get knocked around and it doesn’t work against bosses. And the rapid pyro application from her burst is only useful for like ayaka melt or a xinqui nuke which aren’t teams most people use. At c6, she does become a good support for pyro dpses with elegy and her c6, but we all know how hard her cons are to come by. So while she isn’t complete trash, when you look at her among other characters, she ranks quite low in terms of overall value
I understand that you had a good experience with Amber but the sheer amount of investment she needs to be good pyro damage dealer and the clunkiness of her kit as a physical damage dealer are a big issue for me. I play on mobile, in a country far from where the servers are hosted, so the charged attack animation cancels which should be the cheaper build option(just get crit damage, level the normal attack and aim at the weak point) actually feel really bad to play compared to Razor who just needs to press the normal attack button and sometimes the skill. I never felt like Amber was fun or effective to use in combat back when I started the game and I still feel like that.
You "recycle " through characters pretty easy if you like them in this game . I played collei like a mad woman till 3.2 and my new favourite team now for the past few weeks has her in it and its super fan! I play collei,my c2 nahida, kuki and kokomi (sometimes yelan for the extra hit) from the og characters I sometimes play Lisa as well.
Actually Lisa would be better option for physical support instead of Ei, just use thrilling tales book on her and if u have her at lvl 70 you can decrease the opponent’s defense by 10% when u use her ult
I believe all characters deserve getting leveled up so I do that for mine, my Amber is all leveled up for a few months already but sadly she's still low on constellations and I did not get over to trying her out. It's nice to see she is capable of decent damage, I need to give it a try someday.
Amber has been my main since day 1 and remains the only triple crowned to this day. what really makes it rewarding as her main is that unlike other characters, you have to do the work and learn how to play to make it work. she is multi-dimensional. you can play nuke, machine gun or sniper w/ full charged pyro dps short/long range that is why i never get bored playing genshin compared to other 5 star characters i have.
This burst combo should have a cool name,you have electro sword thingys bursting out of the ground and at the same time dozen of fire arrows raining down
i recommend trying out machine gun amber, rintaichou is a very good example and also uses collei too. im prettysure amber is the best unit for machine gun!
my best friend is a amber main and his baron bunnies can do up to 90k without supports, amber isn't bad at all people just don't know how to use her properly like aloy
I think they could update one tiny thing and it would make her useable in a balanced way. Increase the blast radius of Baron Bunny by 25%. No damage buffs. No cool down buffs. No pyro gauge buff. Just make Baron Bunny explosion reach a little farther. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to use Baron Bunny and it just doesn't hit anything. It happens probably 50% of time. So her skill is useless half the time. If it was just a little bit more consistent, I think she would be more tolerable.
if you charge attack by using left click (hold and the second it enters charged mode, release) you can easily get 1.5 to 2x the fire rate, from when i use it it does seem to depend on your connection, but once you learn how to play it it's really easy i use this technique to show my position to my sister in Co Op essentially creating a stream of arrows true machine gun charged attacks require Gorou and a controller, basically he has the shortest animation, combined with the fact that CA's on controllers have a separate binding, the only limit is how fast you can button mash

I've seen some high-level Amber Mains master the Pop Two Baron Bunnies With One Shot tech. It's where you do the previous. Some pretty intense burst damage, from what I've seen. I don't have the cons to do it so I can't speak from personal experience.
you should watch a video of rintaichou! she's a shotgun amber main, it's really impressive and a best phys build that what you did. it's a bit of practice but it's really fun to play!
hate to mention other ccs in people's vids but if you'd like to get more into phys amber check out rintaichou's vids and get tutorials on it! there's definitely a learning curve to the gameplay but it's pretty rewarding to see amber obliterate overworld content. good job moga!
Note: melt is stronger, but i believe vaporize allows for two procs, which means you have melt for 1 2x damage, and vaporize for 2 1.5x damage, so really its more like 3x SORTA
I think before you have other more universally useful characters built well enough not to care anymore, Amber's Q is very useful against bulky shields like Abyss Lecter's which require rapid application of elemental hits to break instead of damage. Same goes for Chonguin's E

Honestly if her E wasn't so awkward or if she was any element other than pyro or geo she would have been a really solid unit outside of just exploration.

Amber also has one of the lowest ult charge requirements too. You can spam it way faster than most others.

Machine gun Amber is pretty good if you have the right builds, just look at Rintaichou’s Amber solos

Every character can be good but some require less investment than others and that's what makes amber bad
I love Amber. The damage makes me proud. The resin if definitely worth it for me but sadly I can only strongbox because I run Wanderers Troupe.

i put my future lyneys artifacts on my level 60 talent lvl 4 amber and she dealt a 42k crit

Amber in a "Baron Bunny" Team with Diona, Rosaria and Sucrose has nice results for anyone looking for a team.

Note: melt is stronger, but i believe vaporize allows for two procs, which means you have melt for 1 2x damage, and vaporize for 2 1.5x damage, so really its more like 3x SORTA

I think before you have other more universally useful characters built well enough not to care anymore, Amber's Q is very useful against bulky shields like Abyss Lecter's which require rapid application of elemental hits to break instead of damage. Same goes for Chonguin's E
I think that you shouldve used layla for the cryo infusion
