Wow...sleeping in 4 second jags! A very sophisticated and much needed "narcolepsy" when surrounded by enemies! I had no idea Chinstrap Penguins - or any penguin - did that. Way cool, indeed!
Fur seals are so lovely!
Oh, no! Avian Flu somehow got all the way down there?? Those poor birds will have no immunity to that! 😢💔
I hate those whaling and krill ships! ALL those fishing/killing ships should be *BANNED, permanently!!* I hate them so much!
THANK YOU, Dani, for taking us with you on such a wonderful trip! 💕😊❤
Your photography & videos are the best I’ve ever seen. I almost feel as if I’m there too capturing every moment.
It’s unlikely I’ll ever get to the beautiful places you go but thank you for taking us with you and being able to see all that you do🙂🇬🇧
Thank you so much!
I just turned off BBC Earth, because I would rather watch you, your video's and your beautiful photographs. That's how good you are.
I love your work Dani, and everything you do. I appreciate even more that you share so much with all of us! You are truly gifted in your talent! Much love from Teri in Saline, Michigan USA
Thank you Teri!
As we sit in our homes watching your footage of your travels most wish we right there with you, thank you for bringing a little into the world
No wildlife should ever be taken
WORD!
Ever?
What is the difference then; between "taking" and "preserving".
Be mindful, there are no absolutes.
"Roo Roo Roo your friend, taken into care
Merrily merrily merrliy, a kindness is a boon."
Preservation only has its effect if the animals are protected on site which is possible. As soon as you remove the animals from their natural habitat, you are doing them no service.
@@AliasSchmalias Soo... if the animals are suffering in their natural habitat, whether due to human actions, or just nature being nature, like koalas in wild fires, we are doing them no service when moving them away?
My one and only point was and is, that there are no absolutes. Adding on more, is not needed.
@@bodan1196 this was a person on a trip repeatedly violating the no touching penguins rule and straight up kidnapping a penguin. Preservation doesn't even come into play here. If that were to happen now, they could be exposing an entire colony of penguins to the avian flu by doing that.
Wonderful imagery and narration. I really like your seamless integration of some personal stories revolving around the traveling and the ship and procedures on board and so on with the imagery of whats out there. This mix of internal-external points of view make these videos very enjoyable. Please keep going and greetings from Germany!
Thank you Dani for this incredibel Antarctica video 🤩❤ love the "Pinguin Highway" 🐧❤️❤️
Your entire approach to these videos makes for some of the most entertaining, informative and just relaxing viewing available anywhere.
You have serious passion and a real talent.
Amazing.
Safe travels.
Such breathtaking visuals. I so love your storytelling. Thank you
Loved the video Dani. Thanks for posting. All the best, John.
Thanks!
I don't know if you will ever read this, but if you do, a little advice for your sea sickness. I was a blue water sailor, and medic, one of the best, and easiest things I found to use was ginger snap cookies, ginger ail, or candied ginger. I always carried that with me in my sea bag when we had the school kids out for oceanography trips. Hope that helps, and thanks for helping make my life a little better. P.S. My elderly Guinea Pig likes watching the squirrels while she is being fed at night.
I have always heard that ginger helps with sea sickness/nausea in general, but never from someone who has medical training and also experienced on the water. And the thought of an elderly guinea pig watching the squirrels is beyond adorable.
@@Yesica1993FWIW, Holland America cruises offer bowls of candied ginger just outside the dining room for people leaving dinner on their trips.
@@ravenfallsphotography6254 Oh, that is cool! It would be awful to pay for a cruise and then be miserably sick the whole time.
@@Yesica1993
Hi; It does happen. The ginger helps with the nausea, It is not a cure all for it though.
Most people will become acclimated in a day or two, when possible spend time on deck in fresh air. Hope that helps. P.S. I have never been seasick even in a typhoon, luckily I have a cast iron stomach .
Wow at 7.33 and 18.34.
Well done Dani as all ways.
Been a subscriber from the very start.
Its great to see how you have advanced over this time, not only as a photographer, but as a videographer and editor.
You really are a brilliant professional now. We done again. Keep going. 👍
Keith. UK 🇬🇧
This is so cool that you uploaded this today. My desk calendar is a bird -a-day thing I got for Christmas, and today's bird is the Gentoo Penguin!❤
That's so cool. Now I want a bird a day calendar.
A 4 second power nap? Yes please!! 😂 Stunning captures Dani. Thanks for sharing your amazing journey 🙏
The fact that they also nap while floating around in the water is fascinating. I learned this about penguins from Phillip Island Nature Parks since they have the penguin parade of Little Penguins
Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
I think I struggle with eco depression/anxiety too. Thank you for bringing it up.
Many people do, but please look into better help before subscribing, they are very sketchy.
You are an amazing cinematographer/ photographer and a great storyteller. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
Dani you are amazing and extremely talented. Thank you for sharing your breathtaking adventure to Antarctica. Beautiful work and I love how kind and passionate you are. I suffer from anxiety about the plant and all her creatures that inhabit her. Thank you for sharing your struggle ❤️that helped me. Thank you ❤️
Stunning video graphing & photography. Fantastic scenery & extremely beautiful. Thks Dani for the wonderful video. A lot of work goes into everything you do.
Poor Bob! He had a real adventure to tell the others!! Love your videos ❤ a special thank you from an animal lover for looking after roo ❤❤❤❤
Your photos and videos are spectacular Dani!! I almost felt like I was in Antarctica too! Such amazing landscapes and wildlife! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us!!
I just love everything you do, Dani. I'm always happier when I see you've made a new post and excited to live vicariously through your lens and wonderful words. Thank you. ❤🐧
A wonderful adventure, Dani. You're living the (my) dream. Love your content and living in a red squirrel stronghold in Scotland, I share your admiration for these beautiful creatures.
Those therapy places are in effective. Just have a friend to talk to and its free-
I love your videos- thank you for them
I Love your movies, stories and Photography. Looking forward to the next one. I wish everyone had such a great hart and the love for nature. Keep on shooting...
Come on Dani, don’t you recall the “Penguin biscuit” advert (maybe too young) the song went “P P Pick Up A Penguin, there are so much more to enjoy”… The kids movie called Mr Popper’s Penguins” comes to mind….. my kids loved that.
Love a good old Penguin with a cup of tea! Another classic video, love the tone and mood of these moments you share with us. Taking us on a journey that some of us may never be able to visit… and also inspiring many of us to go.
Beautiful pictures. Reminds me of the ones my dad took in Antarctica when he was there in the 70's on HMS Endurance.
Hi,
I don't think I'll ever get the chance to visit Antarctica. I thank you for sharing it with me/us and its beauty.
Truly EPIC!! and your pics!!! Great job!!
Hello Dani, I’m so glad you live this. You work so hard! Can’t wait for part 2.
Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure you are having Dani with us. You are a natural story teller and great photographer. Wish I could afford one of you prints.
Nice story telling Dani! I went to Antarctica a year ago but didn’t film, only took pictures but when I see your video I regret not filming 😅
Beautiful, interesting and well edited video!👍And you're a very good and pleasant narrator.
Hi Dani, What an awesome experience this must have been! Thanks for sharing it with us. Will there be a video about Patagonia? That's definitely on my bucket list! Much love
Thanks, Dani, for taking us with you on your journey. It was absolutely fascinating! I love your videos and your voice is so calming. Safe travels to you wherever you go and be blessed!
Thanks for taking us to this amazing place.
Sometimes it feels like I fall asleep 10,000 times a day for 4 seconds each time.
Maybe i'm part penguin.
Do you watch out for your kids not to be stolen by a skua?
😀😀👍👍👍❤Hello again Dani from Seattle, WA. (Northwest USA) Quite the adventure, indeed! Looks like you have captured many fantastic photos. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch. I have purchased many of your Calanders over the years and look forward to more. Can't wait to see your next adventure!
Bring back one for us 🐧
Thank you Dani for sharing. Your work is beautiful and the way you look the wild life makes me feel better.❤❤❤
You're not the only with Eco anxiety... I think a lot of us have it in some way shape or form.
Wow..
Great video again, loved all the different seals!
You are incredibly talented, wow! 🙏🏼
I hope the rest of the trip to the Nordic Cap of the North is cut and published. As I understood, there should be more.
I'll be honest, I would LOVE to pickup a penguin and take it home as a pet but I won't! :D
Do it, and take it's partner so they don't get lonely. Take good care of them.
As the chance of me visiting Antarctica is as remote as it imaginably can be, I am sincerely grateful for this shared experience. Thank you.
WOW! Your videos are so calming! I love your work! Thanks for taking me along!
Loved the whole video Dani, I have two large maps of the Antarctica Peninsula, a friend spent a year on Deception Is, good hot pools, and, on Alexander Island was based at Fossil Point, with long journeys onto the Peninsula, had a Glacier named after him, However to me the Glacier would have its own murmurings, with teeth marks from Leopard Seals, etc. Have many books on people wintering over in their yachts. One was lucky enough to have a chainsaw, otherwise he would never have gotten out of the Bay, Ice Bergs were beginning to halt at the exit. I used to read stories to Sir Edmond Hillary's children! Now, he was chill............See you next time........
Thank you for bringing Antarctica to life for me.
Incredible Dani! Stunning images. Thank you for taking us all with you.
Understand completely this anxiety, and it is good to feel it - it is not a mental illness but a healthy way of conscious people who care about others, whether human or animal, and the environment, our basis of living. But agree with you completely that best to be part of enhancing overall awareness and still be part of this world with open eyes. But sometimes the news about what's going on, above all from the side of humans, are terribly devastating…
There is a feeling of melting eevrywhere seeing the photos and secnes of Antarctica, and I think it's not just because of the news one hears online and on tv.
Another great job Dani! Glad you had a safe passage too. Pictures are terrific!
The quality of this video is outstanding. As professional as it gets... You could use this one as an educational tool to schools around the world... Really well done Dani...
That was so incredibly beautiful. I found myself a bit emotional at the stark beauty. Thank you for taking us along.
Antarctica from the perspective of a heated cabin is a different view. My uncle sailed across the antarctica in a self-built steel yacht 30 years ago (movie on my channel), they also almost went down on the Deception. He described all around the Antarctic belt, Kerguelen, the remains of large whaling bases. More than 100 years ago more than 2,500 people lived and worked in Antarctica, for obtaining fish oil and meat, something incredible. Life has not yet returned to some parts.
Would love to go on a slow sailing trip to Antarctica!
Beautifully edited production... You're very fortunate to be taking such opportunities and we appreciate all you share. Patagonia is adventure I look forward to watching. You're stills and video are simply beautiful.
What a beautiful adventure! Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Beyond breathtaking - you are a very fortunate person. This is very high up on my bucket list. Could you link in any way to the company that you used for this trip and also to the clothing you used to keep warm and protected please.
I was on that trip as well - company was Aurora Expeditions (great!) and the ship was the Sylvia Earle
Wonderful video. Your voice always hits just the right frequency. A pleasure to watch.
Stunning video Dani & so grateful to you for sharing❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for making this wonderful and beautiful video and the beautiful photos too despite all the weather conditions.
Dani. At 1853 timer on your video, that seal? is splendiferous! Emotes so much feeling. I love what you do.
Once again thanks for the memories. Your photos and videos are incredible. Video was a good choice to capture the total expressiveness of the critters. Your volcano segment brought back mixed memories of my summers and winters stationed at the base of the other volcano, Mt. Erebus...watching steam rise out of it year round and realizing there was no way to escape in the winters if it should erupt. The seismographs would sound an alarm if the tremors were over a certain level though. A tourist plane actually crashed into Mt. Erebus back in the 70's with the loss of all life onboard. The southern continent is nothing to trifle safety with. I'm glad you were able to have this experience and articulate it so extremely well to the rest of the world.
Fantastic film Dani, thanks for sharing your incredible adventure and talent, you are an inspiration and bring light into our lives x
Hi Dani, another great video with so many great pics which always makes me very emotional. Many thanks for all provided infos as well which I didnt now before. Waiting for your next adventure to Patagonia. CU stay strong and healthy.
Very cool. I see at 18:11 that it was an Aurora Expeditions ship. I'm doing the NW Passage trip with them from Greenland to Anchorage in August. I then plan to go with Aurora Expeditions every year from next year.😄
Truly amazing and Thank You ! 🐧
Thank you so much to bring us along to this continent that does not get enough attention it seems. Wonderful photography and videography. You are a real talent.
Thank you for taking us along with you on a wonderful adventure. The Antarctic has been on my bucket list. But at this stage of the game I think I’m out voted by my wife. Your videos are wonderful. Thank You from Colorado. 👍
just beautiful Dani!.....what a trip!
wow! so cool! i m happy for you, i admire your passions and talents. thank you for sharing 🥰🥰
So Beautiful. Love the music . Thank you. Dani
Fantastic video Dani! I worked for the British Antarctic Survey for 3 years and while I didn't get to visit, I did learn a lot! There's no permanent population on Antarctica itself but people do stay there on the bases year round. Some people overwinter and stay for up to 18 months!
I have just found your channel. I also follow Nigel and Mads. What an awesome opportunity to go down there. I would absolutely love to do it one day.
Absolutely loved your 2 Antarctica videos and can't wait to see more if your work. You are an amazing ambassador for Nature. Thanks for all your efforts
What an amazing adventure Dani, thank you for sharing this story with us.❤❤❤
Stunning as always Dani, keep up the great work👍👍👍
A trip to Antarctica is on my bucket list, but having researched the options of achieving that dream, I'm finding it difficult to justify the insane cost. Your images and video have confirmed that it's all that I imagined it would be, but that's probably as close as I am likely to get.
Superb video, well done Dani.
Incredible content, love it. Thanks 👍
Thank you for being my guide on such an exciting adventure which I could never have experienced in person.
This was your best video so far! I loved it
Hi Dani ! Great video !!!
Dani - Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. Your images were stunning and I could sit and watch penguins for hours!! Looking forward to the next excursion. 😀
Fantastic video Dani it was an incredible trip such a beautiful part of the world. Good memories.
Amazing work, Dani! ❤
Dani, you by far have the best job on this planet! And your boyfriend is the luckiest man to have you 💕
Love your channel its brilliant, wish mine was a 10th as good. Can't wait for the next installment. Thank you.
Beautiful Dani, great job. Thank you for the memories... Mitch
Love the seals and penguins! So beautiful.
Watching your video/ work is one kind of therapy... Love it. 🙌🙌🙌🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
Lovely video as usual. Fascinating power napping skills!
really enjoyed this dani
What a beautiful video series, well done!
I absolutely love your videos
I love this tripp you made. Thankyou
Wow what a trip, thank you for taking us along. We are heading S in November this year.
Sea Shepherd does amazing work, so important to protect Krill. It needs international legislation.
Keep up the great work Danni.
"bottom of the world"
I have NEVER seen any evidence of a whirling, twirling, hurling, hurtling, wibbling, wobbling, zipping, zooming, spinning and spiraling space ball, spherical "planet" earth and NEITHER HAS ANYONE ELSE.
Absolutely fantastic!
Another fabulous video, Dani. Excellent music, scripting, videography and sea-sickness management :) Are we going to see another (maybe final) Roo video update or is that already completed?
