Roth-era Scorpions. "Taken by Force" being their best!!!!!

I had always thought Scorpions only had Mathias Jabs era albums- Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism, Blackout and Love at First Sting. I saw Lonesome Crow in a record store, and the clerk told me that it was rare, at least the copy I was holding. And with that, I was down the rabbit hole. Fly to the Rainbow, In Trance, Virgin Killers, Taken By Force...Best of imports, Tokyo Tapes (that live version of We'll Burn the Sky is amazing. Now, I don't really like anything from Lovedrive forward. Hopefully, you'll give all the old stuff a listen. It's ALL good!

Scorpions is blessed to have such three different lead Guitarists. Uli, Michael, and Matthias brings a different melody to their music. From Sails of Charon, to Love Drive to Rock you like a hurricane, it's completely mind blowing! They continue to evolve until this present day. They should be in the Rock n Roll hall of fame.

World Wide Live is a fantastic album and video. It was the video that started me off liking The Scorpions.
Lonesome Crow is like nothing that was around at the time and should be in everyone’s collection.
I’m a mad Hendrix fan, again before my time but The Scorpions are well up there as one of the main bands of music history and definitely in my top 10 bands of all time.

I'm in love with the sunshine
I'm in love with the falling rain
Everything seems to call your name
    Yesterday you were leaving
Leaving life and all the pain
    Everything wants you back again.
    I've found myself through you
And there was love in my life
I felt always naturally high and my love had a home
But now my mind has started to roam
You're my life giving fire and you carried all my love
Through you I was so inspired
You're engraved deep in my heart
My dreams recall us being one
I've searched for you to be free
My force of life you have always been
I feel blue since you've gone
Your breath of love surrounded me
When can I rejoin you to be free
Wait, can this be a dream
There is a voice in my head
It belongs to you, it say's
Don't cry, no need to be sad
There's a way to stay with you again
It's more than we ever had
And no death brings us apart
    Our timeless love always grows
Because you are my other heart
I know we've never been apart
Your love sets fire to my heart

When it's time for me to die

But since, mostly because of YT, I got to watch and listen to their earlier stuff, and I couldn't have been more wrong about them. I love the album Lonesome Crow, and have pretty much liked everything I have seen of them since (mostly 70's). I find they were very reminiscent of say Sabbath, and maybe Rainbow, but are very very much their own thing.
