'We'll Burn The Sky' is one of SCORPIONS's most beautiful and passionate ballad/rocker. I used to be somewhat dismissive of the Scorpions when I was a young fella in the late 80's. But since, mostly because of YT, I got to watch and listen to their earlier stuff, and I couldn't have been more wrong about them. I love the album Lonesome Crow, and have pretty much liked everything I have seen of them since (mostly 70's). I find they were very reminiscent of say Sabbath, and maybe Rainbow, but are very very much their own thing.
By far the best era of Scorpions. Uli Jon Roth is absolutely legendary. Taken By Force is one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded, as well as one of my personal favorites.
I saw these brilliant guys way back in the late 70s mr roth was still playing, in my top three concerts one of the best rock bands to walk the earth IMHO,,, roth was on fire
What I love about the Scorps is you have two different era’s and styles that are equally enjoyable. Sometimes I want the more progressive and artistic vibe I get with Uli and sometimes I just want that awesome straight ahead, hard rock joy of Blackout and Lovedrive etc. both are equally great and valid. Matty also being a great guitarist in his own right.
Indeed they are! And Yngwie was their best pupil and elevated the genre to a whole new level... The holy trinity of neoclassical... (well, Brian May contributed, too, in his own way)
Scorpions had so many lineups in their history. Hard to say which is the original. The most recognizable lineup was: Klaus, Rudolf, Matthias, Francis and Herman ze German. Because they had commercial success since Lovedrive.
The original are: Klaus Meine Michael Schenker Rudolf Schenker Lothar Heimberg (bass) Wolfgang Dziony (drums) Only lasted 1 album (Lonesome Crow, 1972)
Uli Roth Playing Effortlessly... He's the Greatest of All Time... So great full to have hung out with him on his tourbus... He is such a humble person it's almost unbelievable. One of the best people I have ever met.
Also why does the RRHOF have to be in a historic industrial toxic waste dump area? Look it up, it should have been in Memphis or Frisco or Seattle for example
I'm speechless, after listening Scorpions for so many years and get this new unique tune to my hears it's like living in an afterlife passage without knowing even exist, what a rippa!!
I think this song was included on the Tokyo Tapes cassette. I played the crap out of that while on overseas deployment . Great stuff that did not make it to mainstream USA radio back in the day. Better days in many ways.
The fact this song is based on a poem by Monica, Uli's wife, and it's about her connection to Jimmy Hendrix blows my mind. I can't get this song out of my mind. I love everything about the Scorpions.
They had the music. Klaus had trouble with the lyrics so asked Uli to give it a go. He also was stymied, so asked his then girlfriend, Monica Danneman to try and this is the result.
This is my Scorpions. My favorite album of all time Tokyo Tapes. Uli Jon Roth my maestro and the reason I play music. Uli Jon Roth just made these early Scorpion songs so intense and grand. I wish I was old enough to have seen Scorpions with Uli Jon Roth during this time. Thank you for sharing.

My dreams recall us being one
I've searched for you to be free
My force of life you have always been
I feel blue since you've gone
Your breath of love surrounded me
When can I rejoin you to be free
Wait, can this be a dream
There is a voice in my head
It belongs to you, it say's
Don't cry, no need to be sad
There's a way to stay with you again
It's more than we ever had
And no death brings us apart
Our timeless love always grows
Because you are my other heart
I know we've never been apart
Your love sets fire to my heart

When it's time for me to die

By far the best era of Scorpions. Uli Jon Roth is absolutely legendary. Taken By Force is one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded, as well as one of my personal favorites.
Platform shoes, heels, exposed mid riff, brilliant song. Everything was awesome, in the late 70s to boot.
UNBELIEVABLE, SCORPS#1 U,R INCREDIBLE RIFFS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The vocals are so Iconic. What a band.
One of the best Scorpions song, if not the best. I love it! And the guitar solo at the end!! Simply fantastic!
IN TRANCE..................................
HEAR TO ,BORN TO TOUCH YOUR FEELINGS, TOO
When they were amazing seen them early 8o s I was 14 wow
This and Fly to the Rainbow.
We will burn the sky thats for dam sure these guys wee ahead of time
Klaus has the most beautiful voice ever . It's Angelic and he is such an awesome and kind man ❤
I think the same. Klaus seems like a good person. Kind and honest. A beautiful singing voice. The Scorpions are my favorite heavy metal rock band. 💕
Truly amazing voice , and very distinctive.
Boa noite Lisa mitchell !!
The drummer with his silent "fa-fa-fA-FA-FA-FA" is amazing!
Still in love with their music.
His face expression is priceless!
ya love his look. Looks pissed off and wants to kill those drums. Same as with Sails of Charon. Herman Rarebell is killer
I thought it was more like a “fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck”
@@RenzunShark what is a dumb comment ?
Brilliant summation of that sound
Roth amazing my fav era of The Scorpions
I saw these brilliant guys way back in the late 70s mr roth was still playing, in my top three concerts one of the best rock bands to walk the earth IMHO,,, roth was on fire
TIMELESS! EPIC! 'OLD IS GOLD'!
Uli has such a unique aura and stage presence. Along Blackmore they might be the real forefathers of Neo-classical rock.
Yes, Malmsteen took chapters from Roth's and Blackmore's books.
the power of Turquoise
Indeed they are! And Yngwie was their best pupil and elevated the genre to a whole new level... The holy trinity of neoclassical... (well, Brian May contributed, too, in his own way)
Love the contrast, Roth standing rigid, Schenker going bananas.
Rudy was doing some headbanging. He knew where the Scorpions music was heading over that next decade.
that's not Schenker!
Sorry...it is Rudolph Schenker, I thought you meant Michael.
Roth is anything BUT rigid. He's playing pretty relaxed..being still is not being rigid.
@@einarabelc5 you don't need to move when you can play like that
wow I never knew the Scorpions came off this hard
This album is one of the great unheralded albums in rock history. Start to finish, it's brilliant.
Lots of great songs of The Scorpions in the 70s & 80s. Love them!
Herman, Uli, Klaus, Francis and Rudolph! Original Scorps! Uli...flawless!
what about Rudy Lenners??
Or Jurgen Rosenthal?
Scorpions had so many lineups in their history. Hard to say which is the original. The most recognizable lineup was: Klaus, Rudolf, Matthias, Francis and Herman ze German. Because they had commercial success since Lovedrive.
The original are:
Klaus Meine
Michael Schenker
Rudolf Schenker
Lothar Heimberg (bass)
Wolfgang Dziony (drums)
Only lasted 1 album (Lonesome Crow, 1972)
Piece of Rocknroll Heaven
Клаус так классно 👍 двигается в танце!! Совершенно естественно! Ули 👍
Uli Roth Playing Effortlessly... He's the Greatest of All Time... So great full to have hung out with him on his tourbus... He is such a humble person it's almost unbelievable. One of the best people I have ever met.
Uli the 🐐 GOAT!
I think, this was the best time in your life! Do not show the question and the answer your wife!👍🏼
One of the best songs ever written
This is real music
Absolutely fantastic
The Scorpions have to be in the RRHOF
RRHOF is a piece of junk. Real heroes do not need to be there...
Also why does the RRHOF have to be in a historic industrial toxic waste dump area? Look it up, it should have been in Memphis or Frisco or Seattle for example
RRHOF ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME
Fuck Rock & Roll Hall of Fame the SCORPIONS are above and beyond that.
Robert Wiesler RRHOF sucks scrotum
I'm speechless, after listening Scorpions for so many years and get this new unique tune to my hears it's like living in an afterlife passage without knowing even exist, what a rippa!!
Had the same experience, knew all their Songs starting in the 80s but this one is the best by far for me.
I think this song was included on the Tokyo Tapes cassette. I played the crap out of that while on overseas deployment . Great stuff that did not make it to mainstream USA radio back in the day. Better days in many ways.
This might be one of the most beautiful songs ever performed. I weep when I hear it.
Tokyo Tapes is a stunner
That's old school. Love it
The fact this song is based on a poem by Monica, Uli's wife, and it's about her connection to Jimmy Hendrix blows my mind.
Roth was a head case, he flew off like a bird, then mr. Jabs showed up with some Crunch and the rest is history
Me too,man,TOKYO TAPES,all the best
@@rtrolly too bad the albums went down hill
world wide live, smoke the best weed and played soo much hacky sack in the 80,s what a blast!!!!got rocked like a huricane, lol, by some china white, but she loved me on sunday mornin...lmao
Perfect
I'm watching it in 2099. Uli era is the best Scorps era . Period.
Uli's great, but that is a bold statement considering Michael Schenker's contribution. I respect your opinion, but I do love Michael Schenker!
What happened to Roth?
@@toddrogosin4439 He is touring solo. Actually recently in my old residential area of Sacramento.
Absolutely true
This band is just phenomenal.
No shit Sherlock
No shit Sherlock
My boss assigned me a list of homework songs to listen to. This is one of the amazing eye popping high quality German hard rock going at different tempos with non stop guitar playing . Awesome. Long live Deutschen Scorpions!
One of the best bands I have ever had the pleasure to see in concert ( black out tour) 1989 or 1990 tour San Antonio Texas Hemisphere Arena.
