I always wondered if these types of videos decrease or increase the likelihood of someone going to the parks or taking a tour. After this video, I'm definitely interested in the VIP tour. It wasn't on my radar, but it's now a must.
Due to the writers strike, now is probably the best time to do the USH VIP backlot tour because of the lack of filming going on. Usually the Metro and Back to the future sets are off limits to the VIP tour.

About 20 years ago I worked on a TV pilot at Universal. During my downtime I walked all around these areas (pre-911, so no one cared). I would often wave to the tour groups as they passed. I recall the New York Street being. all painted super-bright colors for Inspector Gadget movie. A couple days later it was all back to drab colors. A couple days after that, all painted back up again - one whole entire block. They told me they had to come back for more shots so they had to redo the street again. Another day I might see an entire new facade literally bolted onto the existing facade, then gone the next day. It is amazing how quick these craftspeople can redo an entire street or area!
We did this VIP tour the same day and didn't get to visit Hill Valley - the 2nd time we've now missed it. Wish Universal could find a way to guarantee VIP tours a way to view the area as this will probably keep us from trying the tour a 3rd time. It was an awesome start to the day to meet Chris though!!

We are going on the VIP tour this summer. Don’t know whether to watch this or not. I don’t want to be spoiled. But it was Peter and Kitra’s videos that made us book it in the first place.

The benefits sound really incredible, they must offer some really good perks in it. Movies have been a huge part of my life and I've always been interested in how they shot that specific scene. What a coincidence u uploaded a Universal Studios Hollywood vid becuz i go to Universal every single year but this year, instead going to USH, im going to DISNEYLAND!!!! Im going there tomorrow (Saturday May 27th) & Disney Adventure next week Monday!!!! I've haven't been to the parks in YEARS!!!! The last time i was there was when i was around 10 years old! (Universal Studios Hollywood is my home away from home tho. I grew up with USH)

51:45 I believe that is Princess Toadstool. The original Princess in the Super Mario Games. I’m not 100% sure it is her though. Also, if I have one day at Universal Hollywood, do you recommend I do the VIP tour or Super Nintendo World early access. The main reason I want to go is for Nintendo: riding Mario Kart as much as I can, eating at Toadstool, playing the interactive games, and exploring the area. I also want to do things like Secret Life of Pets and Jurassic World. Do you think it would be a better idea to do Nintendo early access and then once the park opens, leave Nintendo having done everything except Toadstool (but having a reservation for later in the day) and do everything else in the park with no lines, or do you think it would be better just doing VIP? 52:47, an iconic PPP moment! Hi Chris -- That Back to the Future area is also where the very first Twilight Zone was filmed, "Where is Everybody?" -- I got that tidbit from an awesome and funny Universal tour guide! :)
When I went to US Hollywood they were filming the parade scenes in Jingle All the Way. Universal is just the best.
Chris, my brother was a comedic actor. And his last film before he died, was a film called “Almost Heroes”. His “Daniel boon” type outfit, ha ha didn’t fit well after he was called back to refill a scene, three months after the wrap.😂😂😂😂😂 so funny. The actors same scene costumes need to fit for 3-6 months. Or maybe more. Thank you for this fun video. I’ve been to Paramount Studios and MGM studios. I was with my brother so I didn’t have a tour bus, just va golf cart with his personal assistant. So fun. 👍

@@mikekennedy1570 ha ha isn’t it funny to hear his outfit for a retake scene three months after a wrap, hearing it didn’t fit. It’s so funny but a nightmare for film purposes.😀😀😀😀 Have you seen “Almost heroes”? The scene where he falls in to the water. He was jumping from a plane in middle of the ocean. He did have stunt double but he loved doing his stunts. Like in Black Sheep falling from cabin and rolling down the hill. It’s super funny hearing his outfit didn’t fit.😀😀😀 They had to extend seems.😀😀😀😀

I've done this tour 3 times but never got to spend this much time walking around the backlot. Was this done especially for this tour as you were all vloggers, influencers etc? Would love to have had the same experience that you did.

Thanks for this awesome video! My husband, and my 5 year old and I are doing the VIP experience in September. I have a couple of questions. 1. Is there an opportunity during the extended studio backlot tour when you're getting in and off the tram to use the restroom? And 2. Should I/can I bring my stroller for my 5 year old? We'll not only be doing the VIP tour, but staying in the park afterwards to explore more and ride more rides.

neat I used to work in the studio section of the park around sound stage 12 and the sound editing dept...with the new remodel my old office that used to hand off the side of 12 nearest the trams down rump is gone and the projection dept with it. they took out the Hitchcock building and others that I did full remodels of the edit stages in just a decade plus back and all that work is gone. millions in remodels all gone.

you should do the warner brothers tour, i did that once when i won the trip to the conjuring premiere, it was an awesome tour. there was one room with a harry potter exhibit or at least it was at the time and they put the sorting hat on me but now i think it's DC movies. i highly recommend that tour
We have done this tour twice, the first time was years ago and was fantastic. We decided to do it again last October and were very dissapointed. Our guide wasted too much time chasing people who were arriving late and others wandering off. We missed seeing a lot on the tour, then didnt have enough time to do the rest of the rides.

I have no idea why they made the ride vehicles so restrictive in Secret Life Of Pets. Kinda feels like a Medieval torture device with how your legs and feet are bound in it..very claustrophobic.

It probably feels a lot more shakey because the classic tram is a lot heavier, and they don't calibrate the hydraulics for the smaller tour bus

Just came back from doing a vip experience, honestly it’s overrated. Maybe it’s our tour guide. We did the backlot tour in the afternoon and it was hot as hell and felt like we were rushed through it. And the guide didn’t even take us to all the rides.
So I cannot use my video camera to film inside at least Super Nintendo World, during the VIP tour? I needed to film that experience for my channel.
So I was told that when you're in Super Nintendo Land, you don't hit the M pads (or whatever they're called) with the face of your power band. You just hit it with your fist (like Mario) and it'll recognize it. Is that true?
