      I don't like the look, but output options are impressive, indeed. I can also change Audio-Technica cartridges. Good job! At $125, it's a really good deal.

    It's pretty cool that a company is making a nice product that hits the major things that make a turntable nice. This one is good looking! Seems like you get a lot for your money with it. I like the machined aluminum platter too!

    Its Really good, works better than the really expensive turntable i had in the 80s the Blutooth is powerful it imediatly
    picks up the blutooth on my Sony Stereo, so Clean and Clear sounding, so much better than Digital Downloads and CDs

    Another inexpensive turntable is the 1byone which has received rave reviews for $150.00! You can use any phono cartridge that has 1/2 inch screw headshells which is the most common!

    I got this at $160 with a $20 coupon, making it $140. Then, when I noticed Bluetooth connects to anything in range without a pairing code and does NOT have an off switch, I complained to the 3rd party-seller on Amazon and they gave me a $50 rebate. So I essentially got this for $70.
    And it's definitely worth it.

    Budget turntable top picks are Project, Fluance, U Turn, and AT, no reason to mess with third tier brands like this. USB and Bluetooth are useless frivolous features for anyone remotely interested in vinyl. If you really do want to rip vinyl get a decent entry level capture device or maybe the Rega phone pre with USB.

    Where is the anti-skating dial to match up with arm tracking force? That cartriddge optimum setting is 2 1/2 grams (kind of heavy...) so anti skating should be set at 2.5 as well. Remember to balance the arm before setting the tracking force. Good looking table but I would put on a better cartridge. Thanks for showing us whats out there. Some of us spent alot of time and money in high school geting better and better turntables. Just a "Boomer" sharing his thoughts. Cheers!

      Just a note to say the Audio Technica cartridge I believe (AT3600) is the ''Carbon'' with a carbon cantilever and spherical diamond, hence it will not damage records at high weights - Only fancier stylus profiles will put vinyl distorting and melting pressures as surface in contact with groove diminishes and weights go up. It is a magical performer. You can pick one up for ten dollars direct from China (not Japan). Rega rebranded this and sell it for silly money. If you have any hope of getting a well engineered turntable built with precision and quality - Don't get this turntable I guarantee I know, I've been in the business for nearly 50 years. . Get an old Dual, Pioneer, Sansui or if you are feeling adventurous I can point you in the right direction of a dirt cheap but old thing that can transform into a ''super turntable''. I think you may have already had a few better decks than this. Do you do any precision engineering with regard your model trains? Regards Martin.

      @@martinda7446 HI Martin; I also have the channel wasting time and do my audio stuff on that channel. I currently own a Technics 1300 from 1974 that I keep in mint condition. I am surpised how much cartridges are selling for now. I still remember my Shure M91ED (I think that was the model) on my Dual 1229 turntable. I have owned too many turntables to list from my past - even had a Thorens. My train hobby includes elctronics, 3d printing, photography, now videography and so much more. Cheers!

    I have to say for the money this AT cartridge is wonderful. (This model 3600? )Almost disposable. You can pick them up direct from China for about $10.00. Put that on almost ANY vintage budget turntable and it will, and this I guarantee, be better and in some cases far, far superior to this model. You can add Bluetooth for pennies, you can add an RIAA stage for pennies esp. if you have some DIY bones in your body.
    Having been involved in high end audio for over 50 years, and seen, sold, restored, just about every model ever made as well as designing my own electronics and turntables I can confidently say this is mediocre at best.
    You get to a point in your chosen field when it only takes a quick glance to know what you are dealing with.
    (I cut here about 40 lines to help someone judge the quality of turntable - without ever putting on a record, but deleted it because its likely nobody would plough through it)
    I am questioning this chaps sanity, or maybe ethics as this is no ''gamechanger'.

    • @blakebrockhaus347
      @blakebrockhaus347 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure if I'd call it a game changer, but it's certainly a very nice turntable at the price point.

    • @martinda7446
      @martinda7446 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@danielM7181 I take vintage to be pre 1980. You can still pick up a B&O turntable for peanuts. Not only are they iconic beautiful designs they all (apart from the 1000, very first model, though its still better than this) are built with precision, sprung subchassis with lightweight tonearm thet has vanishingly small stiction and friction - You might even be lucky enough to have it come fitted with a B&O moving coil, their moving micro cross designs being among the finest. It may even be a linear tracking tonearm for zero tracking error (Though their top models often are getting beyond 'budget'. They made music centers too so TT along with receiver and some with cassette too. Great value. It is like the difference between a Ferrari and a skip. Any Dual turntable.
      If you want a bit of DIY try a Lenco, still available at half the price of this with the potential of a 2000 dollar 'super deck'.
      Any Pioneer pre 75/76
      A Garrard Lab 80 a potential giant killer, though these need a lot of DIY but cheap. There is more engineering in one square mm of those than that whole thing.
      Any Sony pre 75. Some early Sony models (late 60s early 70s) were Swiss made and absolutely beautiful. They used to be cheap.. Not so sure now.
      Well that might give you an idea of a little that is available. This thing next to any of the above is a joke. It does have bluetooth but so what and USB big deal - you can just plug a 3.5mm stereo jack into your laptop from line level source and record it.
      If you want more ask.
