But, friend's- that went on Saturday night, said it was real good ! I have seen them in Tallahassee,FL.. -That place was great ! ( On 4/13/2017,Friday night.). Thank you all for everything you do. I finally made it, To The Big House, Macon,GA. (09/22/2021). I loved it. 💐🌻😀💐🌻K&B, Gainesville,FL. 'Rock-ON'
You are my favorite blues band ,so many times you been close enough for me to see in concert. At Saratoga Spring ,NY.live you all this was so enjoyable.hope to see you this fall
I was at this show. I usually see the band a few times a year, Best I’ve heard Susan’s vocals. Not sure if it’s because I hadn’t seen the band in about 2 years, but man! She was on.
From a business organization perspective, they, like everybody else in show biz, lost a lot of money last year. I'm thinking that, for right now, it's a cost thing.
the difference between a mediocre slub of a player and one like Derek is tone, timing and chops. You see him touching his tone and volume knob about 50 times a song because he know when each note needs a different sound. Me, i just want it at 10 so volume and breakup can hide my lack of nuance.. :)
I have seen great guitar players including Mark Knopfler, Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton, Don Felder, Jimmy Page et al but no one tinkered with his volume or tone knobs as much as Derek did. If the pickups and strings are properly set and tuned, then there could be no need to constantly touching/changing the volume or tone. My biggest problem with Derek is that he's seen only with one single guitar all the time (that red Gibson?). It makes it so monotonous, drab. He should know that slide on other guitars like a Fender Strat is more pleasing to the ears. Listen to Bonnie Raitt on her brown Fender. I don't mean to put Derek down; he's an accomplished guitar player. But to reach greater heights he should experiment more with other guitar types, models, techs. If you don't innovate, you will remain static.
@Niallmo Goes Cycling he has an interview where he discusses this very point. Derek is in a class by himself. Love Knopfler and so many others, but almost no one makes the guitar have a voice the way Derek does. His build ups are so magical and then he brings it to the crescendo …. So powerful.
@@sriramkalaga9300 Insanely idiotic take, this is like complaining that Coltrane needs to get a new horn to reach greater heights. You should know that your preference of the sound of slide on fenders, gibsons, etc etc is completely subjective and MANY MANY people ranging from world class musicians to laymen would disagree with you. As for 'no need to touch/change volume or tone' you are basically saying there's no need for dynamics. Innovation is far greater than gear.
This is perhaps the most consistently fantastic band around, every performance is stellar! Thanks to everyone in the band you guys are rockin' it!
SUCH a Great Band
Bring all the old Classics Alive ..and sound so good
Thank you for posting this and we need to keep this Alive. Thanks Susan and Derek for always paying homage to Eric.
Love love love this band ❤ Extremely talented, and so glad I got see them in concert in Augusta, Georgia 😍💕
I love the way Derek is feeling every note he plays. The band is tight and Susan's soulful voice, I can't wait till July 7th 🤘

The voice has had a little rest.
Whole thing is amazing but from about 6:40 on is absolute solid gold
I will be at the Key West show. Rock n Roll.
Any man not crushing on Susan is not right
Agreed!
Too much Derek and not enough Susan. 😂❤️❤️❤️😘
She’s been staying in the background guitar-wise for a while
Jammin ok bro
the one thumbs down here definitely needs a hug
somebody get Bobby Whitlock up there!!!
Are we going to see the whole 12 piece line up again? This was great…but I looove that big band with the multiple drummers, singers, and horn section.

@@johnnarez6396 you’re probably correct. And probably easier logistically to get a 5 piece “tour ready” as opposed to a dozen. Either way it’s good!
We’re coming out of a pandemic for Christ sakes. What do you want them to do rob a f ing bank to do a major tour.
@@danielcombs3207 settle down dude. I never said anything besides I can’t wait to see the entire band again. A$$hole
@@jeffgarber5089 Did I call you a a hole ? No! I simply meant you have to be patient.
❤
Makes them better players without a 10 pc. Working hard for it.
Compare today's pop shit to the musicianship on display here !
Anyone going to the MD drive in shows and have room for two kind humans to jump in your cars to get in? 😂 we will pay!!!!

I feel this. People who don't play think I'm pretty good, but I'm bar band good. This level of control is another level.
