    I watched this video then installed my 15" Stilettos, '96 Sporty. I flip flopped the included spacers, and tried them on both sides of the shocks. Easy install, and now I'm looking over my windshield rather than through it. #3 preload and it sounds like a Harley and rides like a Cadillac! Stays planted well. Thanks for the video!!

      Thank you. 15” would be too tall for me. 🤷🏽

    I feel your pain, I’m also 5’4” ,but I weight 205 lbs. I just bought a 2019 Harley 48 on 9-07-2023. Shocks are on my list to upgrade, plus 4.5 gal tank.

      I’m about the same weight. Socks definitely a plus as they help me lean more. Recently added mid controls as the forwards were a bit much for my style of riding on a Sporty. I have my RG for kicking back; although I push my RG just as much as my Sporty.

    I've got a 2013 sportster 1200 72, and instead of going with the 48 front-end, I put a dyna wide glide front-end on mine. The one on the 48 is a midglide front end. Going from a 21" narrow glide, the 16" front wheel is night and day difference. Getting ready to put Burley 15" on mine. I'm 6 foot, so they shouldn't be a problem for me. Great video, brother and a killer looking bike

      Thanks. Definitely a purpose built bike. It served its purpose as a little hot rod bike.

      @slowsmoothfast well said, my friend. After checking prices on a new bike, I quickly decided to just redo mine. I'm currently extending the swing arm 7 inches and switching the belt to chain drive. Between this and the front end, I'll have around $4000 in it

    Glad I found your video. Your frankenbike confirmed the look I was debating by swapping my tank on the 48 to the 4.5 and how 13" shocks will look. Thanks!

    Ha!! Just did my front like this. I've commented on your other video. I call it my Sporty-8. Think I'm going to go with these. How are they? Or do you still have this bike?

    • @slowsmoothfast
      @slowsmoothfast  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I no longer have the bike, but they were great compared to the stock 11”. Gave me more maneuverability.

    Funny I have same bike and year and put same shocks on. I have them fully extended. What you thinks so far?
    Would have liked to do a taller one. I did 11.5

      Mine are 13.5. My factory were 11”. I love them. The cancel out the small bumps and handle the bigger bumps better. Mostly love them bc they increase my lean angle.

    Thinking about running these on my 08 dyna fxdc. How easy is it to adjust stifness if riding 2 up?

    • @slowsmoothfast
      @slowsmoothfast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Too easy. It should come with an adjuster tool.

    Did you adjust the belt ? If these are higher, the belt will definitely tighten up

    • @slowsmoothfast
      @slowsmoothfast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Checked the belt after installation.

      the belt will need to be tightened after, it gets looser when the swingarm goes down assuming it is past 180

    How do you like that exhaust? Does it have a lot of low end power?

    • @slowsmoothfast
      @slowsmoothfast  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bike has a lot of mid-high end power. Installed an S&S 1200 Hooligan Kit and performance clutch. Doesn’t like anything under 3k rpm.

    How do you like these compared to the stock ones now that you’ve had them a few months?

    • @slowsmoothfast
      @slowsmoothfast  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Night and day difference. They are not top of the line shocks, but can handle the bumps enough at the price point. They do what they’re meant to do and give me more leaning clearance.

      @@slowsmoothfast I have a 2000 1200s that has the stock shocks even though they have dampener’s it’s time for a upgrade because they seem wore out. So I was going to try the 13” or the 15” I’m 5’10 185. But your bikes stance and everything looked good with the 13”. Thanks for your reply man
