    Its actually amazing for sketching and making certain effects

    • @ffmfg
      @ffmfg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Exactly. I realized that I actually use it quite often, switching between superfine sharp lines and flat worn side of the tip, only when I got the Kuru Toga. It's a great idea for writing, but it doesn't fit well with certain drawing habits.

    • @Floraskaniner
      @Floraskaniner 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can u give some tips on how to use it?

    • @Snakkin
      @Snakkin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Floraskaniner A little late, but the chisel-tip that I get with a 0.7 mm makes smooth shading easier. Some neat line thickness tricks too if you change the part of the tip you use. Also feels a little better to control and write with at a more comfortable angle than if I held it like a ballpoint.

    I have the Kuru Toga standart model and would exchange it only for other Kuru Toga. Perhaps the one with the extra large grip or a 0.5 model, since at my country such never came around.
    I believe an fusion of Zebra and Kuru Toga would be a top-notch model that would hardly be surpressed by any other mechanism.

    • @jamesaritchie1
      @jamesaritchie1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The standard model doesn't work nearly as well with cursive as the advanced model does. The standard takes 40 lifts off the paper for a full rotation, but the advance on requires twenty. A huge difference when writing in cursive.

    I’ve been buying mechanical pencils for so long now, most recently 2 GraphGear 1000s and 3 Kuru Togas from you people; they are wonderful pencils. But I also like pencils with removable caps such as Pentel (Apple spellcheck corrected that to Pentecostal!) gel pens have, and I have discovered that the lead guides from the Pentel Sharplet 2 series, and the Pentel 120 series will screw onto the Pentel A13T series, and that with the judicious use of hot water at about 80 °C, you can remove the clutch mechanisms from the Sharplet 2s and the 120s and transfer those to the A13Ts as well, and that has allowed me to produce very lightweight pencils with removable caps that I can put on the back as if they were gel pens, while still preserving lead advance clickability, in 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, and 0.9 mm sizes.
    I love my home brewed pencils, but I wish Pentel had done it themselves and saved me all that work!

    I use the Kuru Toga, I didn't like it at first because of the springy feel, but I got used to it, and now I use it so much, I would recommend it, I see a lot of people disliking that pencil, but idk if they are using it for drawing. I just take notes and write with it and Im happy with it.

    • @neonlights7607
      @neonlights7607 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a delguard and kurutoga but honestly I'd prefer delguard for drawing because unbreakable lead makes it easier to apply pressure and draw in different shades for drawing while you can't do it in kurutoga, however kurutoga is better for writing experience.

    Love my Kuru Toga.
    My dream combination would be the Kuru Toga mechanism in a Rotring shell 😍

    I'd recommend the kuru toga. It's the best mechanical pencil I've ever used and it's less than three bucks

    I use the uni kuru toga, its good for drawing, because i use short strokes. Also, I find it good for long writing projects because, like they said, it keeps the writing crisp and clear.

    Never let anyone touch your Kuru Toga. Same for my daughter at school, no one gets to borrow the Kuru Toga. And 0.5 mm, perfectly sharpened, with the diamond lead is just the best.

    I have the 0.5 Standard Zebra Delguard in white and I love it so much! It is very aesthetic and classy. However, the eraser is TINY. Zebra needs to include refills!

    A couple of the coolest pens on this list are no longer sold on JetPens. At least I couldn’t find them searching or using the links. That a real shame because they seem really unique, which is what I look for when purchasing new pencils and pens.
