Old gentleman is absolutely right regarding Haandi,it's called "Bhadhhu" & the taste is really different and authentic. Irony is "Bhaddhu" was originated in Kumaon but lack of market has shifted it's base to planes. It has three parts &then joined together.Base is made of eight metals. Due to low temperature, soups are more enjoyed. Thank you anyway for this.waiting for more from Kumaon.

It's just so overwhelming...coming from Kumaon, from Uttarakhand..and having traveled and lived in a lot of Indian cities, I can confidently say that the people from hills are just soooo humble and sweet...Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari, Bhotiyas and others..their accent is just adorable...simple people with simple dreams....and m especially talking about those living in villages... Im from nepal and my grandmother’s family were called kumau brahmin whereas we are jaisi brahmin. Later on i found out that her ancestors migrated to nepal a long time ago from kumau india. So basically half of my blood is of kumau descendants which somewhat makes me similar to the people of kumau and im extremely glad n proud about that.
Some areas of kumaun and some areas of Mithila were exchanged between India and Nepal when the British were in power. Therefore you can find many people in the uttarakhand region looking like nepalis. Bdw 60% of Nepal is kumaon as much as I know. One kumaoni guy from India told me this.

Uncle ji is so humble and full of gratitude...and he is treating the customers from the heart and soul...only can be seen in these remote places of the mountains where the poisonous city culture has not reached. And I would love to prefer to eat from such dhabas or eating places rather than spending time in hifi five star restaurants.

The chase - the 'bant' which gets enriched taste with the continuos boil till the end by 2pm. The cherish - pure and simple food by the corner of an unknown hilly road; complete soul food.
