- Phil Everly was one half of legendary duo The Everly Brothers and possessed one of the finest harmony voices to grace the first wave of rock'n'roll music. In 1982 he sat down with a Dutch interviewer and talked about his Kentucky roots, his brother Don, land ooked back on a career that influenced the Beatles and a great many others
Phil often smiled spontaneously when he sang. He truly loved what he did, and no one sang better than the Everlys.
Phil had a beautiful speaking voice. His accent different from his brother.
Thank you for this fabulous clip of Phil. All the best bits of him talking.
Still miss them
Very rare clip. Thank you, "slydogmania." How admirable that the brothers understood that family matters are private and not for public consumption. We will always wonder what caused the 10-year separation, but we will never know. Good.
I think I know from watching other videos. They were booked constantly, and became exhausted and burned-out, thanks to those who were around them. (Just my thought)
@@darlenechrist3908 - I believe you're right. They were still very young when Ike and Margaret agreed to let them move out and take their duet careers to higher heights. The music industry is savage and the boys were just two sheltered kids from Kentucky and the Midwest. What happened to Elvis could have happened to the Everly's but thank God for the split. It probably saved their lives.
💘💘💘💘💘💘
Phil....❤❤❤❤
The Bible promises a resurrection of our dead loved ones❤❤️

I prefer modern musical talent. Post malone, billie strings, justin beaver. These guys can play.......
he's cute. shame he's a republican because he had such a sweet nature.
He´s one of those people that can be one of the best friends of your life as long as you leave politics aside. If you´re mature enough to realize that early enough, you´ll have an amazing time with him and a closer friend probably even even than your partner/husband/wife is. I know because when I was in Namibia in 2017, there was a girl from the US who was a Rep and a total Trump supporter. She was the sweetest person you could think of, and we understood each other probably better than anyone understood me or her before, but that was because we decided early in our friendship to leave politics aside. I was completely the opposite in that way and there was no point in discussing it.
What a rigid, sad, and closed-minded thing to say... What has happened to this country? So much isolation and intolerance.
Democrats hate everything and everyone.
