AD, you said it bro. "Humility" is key!!! I realised it's really hard to love people without Christ fueling that love. It's hard to love people without humility. Love is a choice; a high risk choice... May God help us to love the way he loves and not according to the world's thwarted standard.
That "give 100% and expect nothing" was deep! Makes perfect sense, but it was deep! This was so good. I love all of the advice! It feels like pre-pre marital counseling! hahahaha
With the car situation, I would ask, what is your hearts desire behind the purchase. I think as a Man, I’d hope in his love for his wife as Christ loves his church, sacrifice comes into play, just because the money in in the bank account, is that the best use of the money. What condition is your current car. It’s not an easy answer but i would hope it’s not a impulse buy but really a need. As a wife, i think it’s out of respect to bring her in, in that conversation. But ultimately I’d let him make that choice for the family.
Life’s not fair. Lol In all seriousness though. Both people try to give 100%. It’s 100/100, not 50/50. Then when someone ends up carrying more, than another, it’s not as much of a burden. The spouse must be there to pick up the slack and uplift their mate to get them back to that 100. Each marriage is different as well. Some things that work for one couple, may not work for another. The one thing that should be universal, is God as the foundation. Things will commonly be/seem unfair. I hope the girls are doing an episode on this. I’m curious what they have to say. I don’t believe it’s about the wife not caring, but I think it’s perspective. She may see the need or want from a different perspective. Unconditional ❤️. Preach on it. I will say though, it your wife just straight up disrespects or doesn’t appreciate you, that’s an issue.
Yes, that independent spirits that we carry in marriage needs to go, as a independent single woman I can tell you that would be hard for me...I believe it's something we need to work on before marriage or an in the beginning of the marriage...(I pray that we both learn to let go of the things God needs us to let go of) So I say to Pray regarding all those independent spirits lifestyle you have before marriage and in the beginning of marriage.
Marriage is 100/100, the husband gives 100 percent serving his wife, and the wife submits 100 percent to her husband. Ephesians 5:22-23. And this is coming from a man whose been married for over a year btw.

It's always great hearing from the men and I really enjoy these conversations...blessings!
Really glad the audio is back......now back to listening.
The part about man should love his wife as Christ loves the church...reminds me of my boyfriend. he loves me like that. it amazes me, sometimes.
The 24 year old looks very mature. He is quite wise.
Great series. Keep it up.
Great conversation!! Learnt a lot and need to pray hard about loving my soon-to-be wife like Christ loved the church. It's heavy stuff!
Question: If he has no desire to be married at this point in his life, why be in a relationship?
THIS IS AMAZING!💯
So glad you enjoyed the episode! Thanks for supporting!

I’m just gonna be like my man Paul, save myself the trouble, and not get married.
