Great to hear about your trip. I hope it all goes well. Also... UGH! I hate a flat tire. Glad you were able to be rescued. It's a long walk back home especially pushing a bike.
Have a great trip to Electric. Took my XPress out yesterday for a 53 mile ride. Bike did great on the trip. I like Strava gives you some good stats, you can even replay your ride.
I will be heading out to Arizona also. Looking forward to meeting you all in person. Sorry about the flat tire, that nail really did a job. Still love my Xpeak.
@@theridewithlance hey I’m a subscriber yours. I know you have the XPeak also so I found out from my contact there. There is actually two events. I am in the first one which is flying in on Sunday leaving on Wednesday. The other ones will be flying in on Tuesday or Wednesday and their event will be from Thursday to Friday. Which one will you be in?
@@theridewithlance I apologize I actually just checked and I am not subscribed to you, but I know that I was because when you got your XPeakI had gotten mine and I was watching every content you had I am subscribed again now
watching further, I see that nail went straight through your whole tire, wow, I'm not sure flat out would have worked entirely in that situation, but I have a lot of confidence it would slow the air loss and potentially i bet you could shake the tire around and hit the throttle and probably seal it up somewhat reliably enough to get back. I've hit a nail. and flat out was holding air with the nail in my tire. But it didn't go all the way through my rim and puncture the opposite side of the tube. But its crazy stuff I swear by it.
@@EBikeBuilder_ believe it or not all my bikes have flat out in it except for this one this is the bike that I cured the wobble on and one of the theories for the wobble was flat out in the tire, so I change the tires and change the tubes so that they would be no flat out in it and I forgot to put it back in
May I suggest you and your wife get Life 360 so you can locate each other in emergencies. It's free unless you want to upgrade. We have a saying in our family "everyone needs to be in someone's bubble". Especially if you are riding on a trail less travelled and get injured and unable to contact anyone for help.
You can also just share your location on Google maps. My wife and I can always see where the other is, as long as we have our phone on us and it has a signal.
@@nolanperry they are from slime they worked awesome. I bought a whole bunch more. The black ones sucked. I think that’s why I couldn’t get the tire too seal with those. Also carrying something to wipe the tube off with would be a good idea some sort of an alcohol wipe or something going in my kit next amzn.to/3z0oeVp
