Love the Sunday ideas! The pizza idea really sounds amazing since coming home and cooking after church is something I dread. We are all too hungry and just want something right away. Plus, the fending for yourself in the evenings sounds so nice. I need to plan for down time on Sundays more.
Yes, that was always us on Sunday, come home starving, look in the fridge, close the fridge, look in the pantry, close the pantry, go back to the fridge . . . it's nice knowing what we are going to be having.
@ChantelKlassen So true! I tried this out, and it worked so well! I also should have added that I live with two extroverts, and I am an introvert. So your video reminded me that it was and is perfectly okay to tell my husband and daughter that I need some alone time on Sundays to actually rest and recharge. Now they have time to bond together, and I get to feel free to have time to do whatever I need or want to do....very weird feeling, but I am loving it! Thank you for the inspiration again!
These are great ideas, Chantel. It is important to re-evaluate with each season of life. And in this day and age, I really feel it is important to value rest and reset. I am now able to do it on a daily basis and it is great for mind, body and soul :)
I’m so glad I found your channel… not only because I love books/reading & you are giving me some wonderful inspiration!! But we too homeschooled/unschooled all five of our kiddos… they are all grown & married now. I just enjoy hearing about other’s families/routines.
I feel that December and January we hit a wall of sicky-ness and our rhythms have been off. But, we used to have regular family time and Sundays used to be more restful. So, this was a good reminder for me that I want to get back those two things...and build from there.
Sundays for us is also church, then rest. Monday is usually pretty busy resetting the house after the weekend. Wednesday evenings we also have church right now. Friday is our library day. Thanks to you, I have started doing a family day/night every other Saturday and it has been great. So far we played a video game together and then had a movie night with popcorn and gummy snacks.
My Sundays are busy too. We leave home at 8:30 And usually don't make it back before two so when we do get home I rest. It is so important. I really notice when I don't do that
We don't really do screen time other than a movie once a week. So I'm struggling on what reward or how to motivate mine to go outside still. They just havnt been out there enough to figure out how to play or what to do.
I’m so glad you’re feeling better, Chantel. Down time after church sounds like a wonderful “rhythm.”

Thanks so much for being here!
This was quite interesting!
Thanks for sharing these aspects of your week. 💕👍

Sickness can definitely throw all the rhythms out the window. Hopefully February is better for you!

Ooh, those sound like great family nights!

I love your idea of not cooking dinner on Sundays. For us Sundays are dessert night so I make dinner and then always get dessert.
That sounds like a good rhythm!
