Can't help but notice that on your shoe shines you end up giving the whole shoe a glossy sort of look (which looks great), while I notice other people concentrate solely on the ends of the shoe and even advise not to give a gloss to the rest of the shoe. Any reason for the difference (other than the glossy look being much nicer)?
Mirror shine on a soft part of the shoe will crack. The ends are harder and dont bend when you are walking

It's a cleaner! Remove dirt and wax!

bob bob おそらくですが、
鏡面磨きの下地用とミラーシャイン用を分けているのだと思います。
【鏡面磨きの成り立ち】
鏡面磨きは革にある毛穴を埋め、鏡面反射を生み出すことによって靴に輝きを持たせています。
ここで必要なのは、
①毛穴を埋めること
②鏡面を整えること です。
①においては毛穴を埋めやすい柔らかいワックスが最適です。（柔らかいものの方が溶けやすく毛穴に馴染みやすいためです。）
②においては毛穴を埋めた後、硬いワックスで鏡面を整えるとともに輝きを与えていきます。
よって２つのワックスを使っているのだと思います。（私見ですが😅）
