今回はCheaneyのキャップトゥBuckinghamのプレメンテをアップロードしました。

アッパーの所って最初にワックス塗っとくべきですか？それとも湿らせた布で磨く時にアッパーに塗るんですか？

Are these shoes brand new or just resoled?

no these shoes have the factory soles but they have rubber topy soles and metal toe caps applied to them, probably after market at a cobbler, but then again a lot of companies offer extra options available in the Asian markets that are not available in Europe or the USA...

I like this is very nice and thorough, but I don't like when they shine the captoe more than the rest of the shoe. It looks like cheap patent capped shoes. I shine my shoes evenly, the cap and the rest of the shoe are equally shine to achieve a pleasing look

Well, thats a matter of personal taste. I wish my own Cheaney Alfred's caps were as shiny as those, wont do that to my brogues or derbies obviously.

@@davidtatelo I concur, its matter of preference, certainly some shoes are better for high gloss.

It would be a bad idea to polish the whole shoe to a mirror shine - this is because the layers of wax which make the shine would get cracked when flexed a lot during walking, leaving white cracks in the finish. Hence why the toe cap and heels are shined, as they are not subject to as much movement or flexing.
What is shown in the video is the correct and traditional way to shine a cap-toe oxford - with the toes and heels more polished.
