because fortnite has had a way bigger cultural impact to begin with plus they've just been keeping the game fresh compared to apex where it took 3 years to add tdm the most basic gamemode possible
Fortnite markets towards kids while Apex markets towards teenagers to young adults. Kids generally have more time to play games than older people with responsibilities
Rn in season 20 of apex its in a really good state they have added perks/upgrades and alot of quality of life changes like a good map rotation, i think the big problem is the price for all the cosmetics and heirlooms plus there starting to recolor them now wich is just lazy and making the recolor cost the same price. Thats my shitty opinion tho
