Julie you don't have to buy UV resin. I was just telling Sherry I do this on my nails all the time. I just use my NO wipe clear top coat gel polish and cure it.. It works exactly the same as UV resin.

Gorgeous...love the bubbles! Try a black base first then a second layer of uv resin with chrome flakes or mica podwer mixed in. Then add the bubbles and cure. It gives a Dragon skin look.

When I was using a tool to spread/mix resin in a mold, instead of wiping on a paper towel I first dotted most of the resin into a bookmark mold. I later filled the bookmark mold with clear. It turned out well.

I like the way it looks indented so I fill mold with black resin about 3/4 full , let dry then do the uv resin n bubbles, then top coat with clear to fill mold up to top.. I just love the chameleon colors, been using them for years doing nails, but it's been useful in my resin crafts now.

I absolutely love it it's so very pretty. You could do it with multi colors too.. it also works with acrylic paint's. Since you asked.. I DO this technique on my fingernails with gel polish that you cure! So with coasters this small you could actually use clear gel polish you still cure.Same results. But not expensive UV resin. You have to buy REAL gel polish.. I've noticed at the Dollar Tree Walgreens exedra. They'll have polishes that say their gel. They are not... you need the real kind that has to be cured. I just use a no wipe clear top coat for mine. No wipe means there is no sticky layer left that you have to take off with alcohol. You just cure it easy peasy
