- Columbia Alpine Action Jacket / This is the Columbia alpine action jacket. If you're not familiar with the company Columbia, they are a sportswear company based out of Portland, Oregon. This particular jacket is advertised as a ski jacket, however, I adapted it to be my everyday jacket for the wintertime here in Seattle.

On the outside, It's got their Omni-tech waterproof technology, so it's not only waterproof but breathable.
For a pocket on the outside, it does have a waterproof sealed zipper pocket.
If you're curious about size, I am six foot four and I bought an extra large and it fits perfectly. I can stretch my arms out without losing any length in the sleeves.
It's got a zippered pocket on the sleeve for your ski pass if you do happen to be up in the mountains skiing, it's got a cool zipper pocket on the sleeve for your ski pass.
Nice Velcro cuffs here as well as a liner on the inside of the cuff.
On the inside, It's got the Omni heat reflective technology. This was designed to reflect 20% of your body heat back into the jacket, but it's also breathable and moisture wicking so it'll keep you dry.
There's a pocket on the inside for your goggles or maybe you don't like carrying your gloves in your pocket so you can put your gloves on the inside.
Also on the inside, there's another zipper security pocket that goes down pretty far.
The hood is detachable and adjustable with an added adjustable Velcro strip on the back.
The collar is insulated as well and it also has features that moisture working technology. This will wick the moisture away so you can breathe into the collar.
There's a nice bill on the hood, so if it's raining, water will just run right off of that.
Another cool feature that I like is the snow skirt option. It buttons up here to the side if you're not using it, but if you are going to use it, you can just unbutton it and then put it on in the front which gives you an extra seal underneath.
I like using this for windy days, it helps keep the wind from going up underneath the jacket and provides a good seal so I don't have to use the adjustable straps, which you can also use.

I really want one of these… I had one ages ago.. do the cuffs of the sleeves have like.. the spandex material? Keeping the snow out? I like the solid black, I had one that was like
Obnoxious green and white… I like their whirlibird beanies
The material around the wrist is kinda spandex-ish. There’s also velcro to tighten around the wrist.
Does the hood have the same material as the chin guard? Or is it the same material as the outer shell? Have tried the Tipton Peak Jacket, if so which do u like better? TY
It has the same waterproof material as the outer shell. I’m not familiar with the Tipton peak jacket.
Have you done any skiing or boarding with the jacket? And how did it hold up of you did?
I have not but it worked great during our winter freeze that we had around here recently.
Was the black colour true black? I read some reviews that it was more of a dark grey/blue
Yes it’s true black however mine has faded a little from washing it.
For my jacket, there are zippers at the underarm on the outside, what are they for?
I wasnt sure either so I went looking, here's what I found: "Some jackets have vents across the back to allow air in, and some also have zippers in the armpits to allow you to adjust the air flow. If your perspiration can't escape from the jacket, you could end up drenched and shiver in your own sweat."
Pit zips are for when you’re getting hit you open those up for ventilation
Would this jacket be too warm for Seattle in February?
I am still wearing mine in February here in Seattle.
I’m short and stocky. 5’5 190lbs. Do you think a medium would be good for my build?
I’m not sure. I would try it out and if not you can always send it back and exchange it for another size.
Your a small, but maybe a medium small cause I know u got a gut🤷🏾♂️
I am 6.1 feet and 187 lbs weight, do I need to get LT or XLT ?
extra large would probably be good
How do you hide the hood prt?
I have the velcro on the sides and on top of the hood also viper on the bottom
The hood on this particular jacket only detaches and reattaches, cant be tucked away.
What is the weight of the jacket?
not sure exactly but it feels really lite when you where it. it was delivered in a plastic bag and stuffed in my mailbox.
What size is your jacket
I wear an XL
is it warm in about 23 F?
yes, the temperature was in the teens recently here in Seattle and it worked great!
@@SoundSurvivalTactics thanks!
what contry it made in?
Gaza
@@stevechatman2319 So not worth buying.
