    This is very smooth and sophisticated very fluid and lot of Puerto Rican's dance like this. They explained it very well for someone who doesn't know how to dance salsa broke it down very well.

    Good video guys!! Never mind some of the comments around here, mainly coming out of the mouth of some women who do not appreciate the real way of dancing Puerto Rican salsa,.. I agreed,. It is all within that imaginary line where you make the moves, but you most stay within that line at all times so the dance goes smooth and looks good... Great video guys look look amazing..

    very clear and helpful, thank you. Especially coming into the shine and out again and how they fit together - it has been a mystery on the social dance floor till now.

    I gotta say I’m Puerto Rican and that is the real way to dance salsa a lot of Puerto Rican’s are ignorance about salsa is all in the steps not hips and waist that comes after you dominate the steps

      It is a french documentory, in france, we call the salsa that was created in the south of the usa the puerto rican salsa because we discovered it during a salsa championship in puerto rico. But the salsa they demonstrate is from the south of the USA. I hope it makes sense.

    Il le fait très bien mais pour voir la salsa portoricaine, vous devriez chercher Papito jala jala, Tito Orto et Enzo Conte. Saludos desde Puerto Rico.

    Alot of people commenting need to realize that this video is from france, hence the spelling. Also, portoricaine is often a synonym for salsa en linea. Even in cuba some people refer to slot salsa as Puertoricaño.

      @@shaolin1derpalm Hi, kind of you to have a helping-attitude, much appreciated. But no worries: i just added the "?" because i wasnt sure if i was hearing it correctly. By now, i allready know for certain that it is both written and spoken as "shine". That's all ;-)

      It's so stiff they need to move the waist more

  • @reeceive1004
    @reeceive1004 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For a Puerto Rican I'm telling don't dance like that.Because you have to move those hips and the men have to move their shoulders.But overall very close.And try practicing with music it helps.

      What you don't realize is that this video is French, hencevthe spelling. And in Europe (especially older) puertorican is synonym for salsa in linea. Even in cuba I've had people say "oh, you dance puertoricaño" since I was dancing in the slot vs casino.

    • @LoXena
      @LoXena 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's the basics of Puerto Rican salsa and of course you will have similarities with cuban style. It has nothing to do with having with room, it's always in line and not in round.

    • @LoXena
      @LoXena 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheImvaltorno it's just the basics of course it will resemble cuban but when you practice advanced patterns you understand why they call it like that.
