Not too bad of a truck if someone has a couple of parts trucks around. Or it will make a good parts truck. Good on you for being straight up with your customer and letting them know that it could end up being a money pit! Have a good one HR! 👍🏼 🙏🏼
Yea I hated to see that truck not be repaired but it was not feasible to sink that kind of money into it. Thanks!
@@hrdiesel Agreed!
Tuff to see a truck go to parts. This may be a little harsh. My $0.015 worth, it would be worth fixing the truck, if it was not for the rust.
I agree. That’s also part of the reason the customer decided to not fix it
@@hrdiesel Hit all the problems associated with trucks with EGR's and DEF, if the frame and cab are not rusted out, I say it is worth putting the $ into keeping a 7.3 on the road.
Post it in classified with problems listed. Some young buck who knows how to wrench could get it going again for cheap. Junk yard front axle. And a few weekends of work.
Rust is the bane of long life.
Rather put 5k into a old truck with 400k miles then the cost of a new truck with even more issues.
I agree with that. If it wouldn’t be for the rust the customer would’ve probably considered it more
or do it yourself for a third the cost
This is true. A lot of the cost is labor
