Make sure to change out the crank case breather while you’re at it lol 😂. I also try to tell my customers and my employees at work to run the engine at higher RPM’s to try and eliminate having to do forced re-gens all the time and when your start your truck in the morning let it run till you hear the stock re-gen engage so that the computer can do its checks and hopefully reduce the other times you don’t let it do it’s cycle so that your not going to have to many re-gen codes that cost ya money 💰 lol. But hey you can do whatever ya want if you like spending money on guys like us to fix your pike of junk lol .

Ya idk. 5 bolts on an exhaust vs unbolting the engine mounts, jacking up the engine, and prying with a pry bar to get the starter out. All while the exhaust is still in your way to the starter bolts...

Ive got a 08 lmm duramax with 445000 miles in a 3500 hd dually, no oil leaks and she runs like a champ.. if you service these engines and allison transmissions regularly they run forever, and it will smoke all 4 rear tires

I have the same problem with my 2017 Acadia V3.6. I bought an OBD2 a year ago and keep clearing the code. It appears once a week or sometimes goes more than a month without any code showing up. Recently, I changed the thermostat and the sensor. I noticed something related to the issue: the code only appears during the first coolant circulation, meaning when the cold coolant enters the engine. It never appears while driving.

I wouldnt say you fired the parts cannon without deductive reasoning. That would have been more like changing the orifice because that can cause the issue. I say you did a great job with as much diagnostics as monetarily appropriate.

Save you some time. Loose vacuum pump mounting bolts and replace or update the Ccv.

Plastic absorbs engine vibrations more. I’ve never seen those dorman hoses last more than a few months before they leak. Total junk.

Plastic is cheaper and great for planned obsolescence. Hence why it is designed to fail sooner then last longer. Solution? Don't buy the stupid vehicle from manufacturers who love to screw the customer. Because you can't screw over a customer if you have no customers 😏

The aluminum is good, but the hoses are not oem quality and will deteriorate in few years. Good info nonetheless

Dorman fixes alot of oem screwups. They did the same for silverado heater hoses.

Had 2 lock nuts on each wheel. Got car jacked by gun point. They found my jeep with wheels still on it because they couldn't get the 2 lock nuts on each wheel off.

Takes 2 minutes to smack a socket over the top and undo. 100% agree lock nuts are a total waste of time.
