    I just got this nano, and you're bang on. Probably the most balanced ball reaction I've ever had and so versatile. Feels like the ultimate benchmark ball, it's a shame that it's discontinued.

    I bought a Nano 2 days ago after having an IQ Fusion for some time. This thing is a beast. I adjusted to throw between the second and third arrows and I was clocking games at 234 coming from a solid 190 average with my Fusion. It attacks from all over but it does leave some wicked spares if your off.

    There’s no chance of a comparison of this ball, the tour Nano, and the new IQ Nano Pearl huh? Just curious since the covers are similar

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very little lol . . this one and the Tour Nano had some distinct shape similarities, this one was just longer and stronger, but the Nano Pearl is in a different direction, rounder but stronger, more dynamic.

    Due to my heavier roll, I tend to not be able to use asymm stuff for very long (even the cleaner ones) and since I hate the idea of having a huge arsenal, this ball will for sure be a go to for me. Seems like a hyroad for fresh sport shots. I NEED this.

    Started with this on Jan 2nd and at first it was so much stronger than my Hy-Road that I never thought it would work for me but once I got used to it and it's cover, well, it's almost all I use now, or I switch from my Hy-Road to this somewhere toward the end of the first game. Biggest scores EVER and most consistent scores EVER with this ball and I just LOVE it.
    I am starting to get questions (Hey, is that a new ball?) because no one is used to seeing my name as a regular bracket winner. My game and this ball are meant for each other

    Hi enjoy your videos. I’m a bowler in high school so I usually play on house shots. I have the storm marvel pearl and storm ride both I really enjoy. I don’t have a ball with a solid cover and am looking into either hyroad Nano, iq tour, or phaze 2. Can you tell me the differences between those 3?? Thanks

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hyroad Nano is right between those two shape-wise. IQ Tour is really smooth and kind of early rolling but not early hooking, Phaze 2 hooks a bit more and has more shape on the backend than both of these. So far I'm liking the Nano the best because it's the best of both worlds. Phaze 2 can be too much sometimes, IQ Tour not enough, and this is right in the middle. If you have a high rev rate, I'd go IQ. If you have a medium rev rate, go Nano, if you play pretty straight, go Phaze 2.

  • @FHCoach300
    @FHCoach300 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Agreed, I don't like how this ball is finishing. Hitting very light, not consistently driving through the pins and if that is due to friction. Well .... it wouldnt get any better in the track, and I wish Luke would give a look that's not 5th arrow. Nobody plays that deep.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Bumgarner That’s kinda what I’m stuck with. The lanes were pretty beat up before I got on them, hopefully I’ll be able to get some better video sometime. Even on the fresh the track is 3rd to 4th arrow at this house, go much outside of that and ball reaction gets inconsistent

    • @FHCoach300
      @FHCoach300 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rosdahl, I hear you - sorry, came off a little harsher than I intended. I can appreciate that, especially considering what I bowl on every week. All that matters for reviews is a consistent comparison, which you definitely give video to video, with that bring said - I'm still confused as to where this balls strength lies, as it looks to be a little less comfortable that deep than other balls I've watched you review. Maybe not. Maybe a little laneshine and it's right at home.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Bumgarner Nah it’s cool. It wasn’t an ideal situation for the review but I’m in a time crunch and it was either take what I got and at least get something out or have to wait another week. Find Fred Callahan’s video and check it out, he plays pretty straight. Part of my issue is that the lanes were burnt and the backends were soft, plus my mechanics showed back up over the weekend so I’m absolutely flying out of it now. Lol it actually looks pretty good for this house so . .

    • @kristopherjones8400
      @kristopherjones8400 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      “Nobody plays that deep.” Whereas I might agree not too many 1 handers play that deep, 2 handers definitely do that. I’m a 2 handers and on a typical house shot, with my HyRoad, I’m finishing with my sliding foot on the gutter, letting the ball roll out to maybe 4 or 5 and having it snap back in. But that’s just me, I throw a big hook. Don’t get me wrong, I love throwing a Pitch Black or even my spare ball, but the big hook is definitely achievable

  • @dankrash5771
    @dankrash5771 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Being a 2 handed bowler with 0* axis tilt anything for me is so harsh on the backend. I loved the hyroad pearl its a great skip flip look for me but again cuz of the way i throw gets so angular. What kinda look is this going to give me... and compassion? And will it be too strong for me or is it that clean?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is going to give you traction but a really smooth and balanced read off friction. The more I watch it, the more the word smooth comes to mind. I think this would be a pretty good compliment to your pearl.

    • @LukeRosdahl

      Actually a little above, the Nano cover is really what does it despite the differences in core strength, just a couple boards though. Definitely a different shape though, CR is earlier and smoother, Nano is longer with more pop once you get some lane shine on it.

    I have a question, I have been throwing a Brunswick rhino, I need to build an arsenal, what storm/ Roto grip balls would you suggest for someone like Me? I have low revs, 14-15 ball speed. The conditions I bowl on are two different bowling centers. They say the oil pattern length is 41 feet house shot. Both places use the kegel flex machine with fire and ice oil. One house seems to be a tad dryer as far as volume is concerned. Thanks in advance for any info you can give. Also I'm a lefty and there isn't many lefties that bowl in my league so I'm usually the only lefty 75% of the time on my lanes

      PBA All Star Really just about your ability to represent the company well and get people buying and using the equipment, that’s all it’s about. You don’t have to average 240 and shoot big numbers all the time or win a ton of tournaments. All that helps, but selling the equipment is the deal

  • @Zamorakboomz
    @Zamorakboomz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So hard to make a decision but it's time. I currently use a code black and fantatic drilled up and a breeze. Currently I start 10 left of center and throw at 17-20 most of the day and slide out to 10 or so. I want something a little lighter when things break down. I no longer have a solid anymore. I have been looking at both the hyroad and the nano. Any thoughts between the two? Your shot is very similar to mine I just have more hand in it so it seems to break a little harder

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want something for when they break down, and have heavier hand, the Nano with some polish might be best. It's earlier and smoother than the original, and it doesn't read friction as strong so it SEEMS to almost go longer and be less aggressive. I can play pretty straight with it on a fairly dry condition and it gets lazy for me, so for someone with more hand, might be perfect. Nano is still a strong cover, so you might actually look at a Hustle Ink honestly . . still a solid, but not quite as strong, so good option for heavy hands.

    • @Zamorakboomz
      @Zamorakboomz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok I have the breeze for break down but it almost seems like my hand makes is really squirrelly until the lanes are completely toast. i may try both. I basically have a three ball arsenal at this point. I have an old Raw Hammer jacked and anger but they are so old they are basically a paper weight at this point. coverstocks are destroyed on them. Thanks Luke

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, Tropical doesn't have the cover nor the core to work well until they get really super dry. Nano is super smooth, so it works well for heavy hands too. Most of the time mine doesn't quite have enough pop for me on the back.

      Original Dare Devil isn't far off, they shape similar and with the IQ Tour having uncommon core numbers, really hard to match something up. All Out Show Off isn't quite as aggressive but it's close as far as shape goes. Dare Devil probably the closest though. I was thinking the Son!Q might be the ticket, but we'll have to wait a bit longer to see on that.

      ernesto janniere Lol it doesn’t. Ink plus 2 arrows equals Hyroad Nano haaaaa . . Shape isn’t terribly different, just a lot more hook

    How does it compare to the phaze 2?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake H That’s a good question, Phaze 2 is a bit earlier, revs up a bit stronger, and shapes a little more, or has more shape, but they’re similar-ish

    It looks like it rolls similar to the DDT

      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jacy Vandemerwe Actually not far off. Doesn’t roll quite as heavy but shapes quite a bit like it

    I have honestly never liked the nano cover stock. I’m a storm/Roto guy all day. To my eye this ball seems to burn up energy, and could be over under. IMO that’s just me.

    So this is a stronger rocket ship?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      LionsTigersBearsOhMy Animals Actually wouldn’t say that. It’s on par with the Rocket Ship and the Torrent as far as strength goes, just shapes kind of in between them.

      So Luke I have a rocket ship and it’s not the best on higher volumes would this hyroad be better to start with?

    Looks like u are playing too deep with it and barely makin it back up the hill for shakers just a tad lazy (at least where u are playing in video)

      CleSwag24 That’s all I had. Lanes were in bad shape when I got to them, any further right and it was heading left at 30 feet
