Im glad to see Ben doing pirate shenanigans after the first game where he couldnt do much.
I love these upgraded precons episodes; seeing how each of y'all chooses to upgrade is the best part
At 12:50, it's worth noting that you can tap your artifacts and float your mana in response to the Charismatic Conquerer trigger, so if Eliot was going to use the mana straight away anyway then you can just choose to tap your artifacts without any created tokens.
EDIT: Nevermind! Apparently as per the gatherer, you cannot choose to tap the artifact if it's already tapped! Cards great!
I know these are upgraded but seeing how these precons play makes me stupid excited to see what they do with Assassin's Creed next year

Hakbal shouldn't have gotten the last explore from Wheeler, because you had already moved to combat to trigger Brass's at beginning of combat. Not that it made any real difference. Loved seeing most of the decks go off, and not the merfolk one for once. (Sorry, Bill!) Hilarity seeing the pirates killing people off borrowing from other decks.
Anyone know what shirt wheeler is wearing? He's worn it in a couple videos and it looks cool.
Does anyone know what sleeves they are using? The finish ontop of the front of the sleeves are matte and not glossy like my dragonshields. I much prefer matte faces

That was a fast as hell game for (lightly upgraded) precons.
Yeah it was almost a third shorter... wonder why :P
@@TheSpikeFeederslmao! Also these decks are stupid good without much help. Well all but the vampires. The vampires gets really good but does need some more work done to it. Still, all these precons are freaking nuts
@@thriftypsgr the last few years of precon design have really upped the game. Removing the 2 unrelated backup commanders and the cards that synergize with those and just putting in more cards that synergize with the gameplan did a lot for the decks.
@@thriftypsgrunfortunately, I bought the vampire deck and bought some upgrade stuff, but the mana curve is still horrible and way tooooo slow (3 one drops and good vampires cost 4 mana + don't bring enough power against dinos). Do you have any suggestions?
@@alterousi4744 sadly I didn’t mess with that precon. It looked to hard to make it solid.

As an avid pirate enjoyer I can confirm having Merchant Raiders and Coercive Recruiter is unbelievably strong, stealing the best attacker/defender on the board and tapping the next best one is just nuts. Really easy to run away with a game with those two.
So coercive recruiter is kill on sight in a pirate deck....
In this game nobody haves removal instants or sorcery cards to play, pirate deck smashed all 3 opponents
I would’ve gave her the vampires to keep the 3 Dino’s untapped to block in the end even if at least one died .
Coercive Recruiter won that game on its own. It's Zealous Conscripts on crack.
Glad to see that between all three games all the decks have done their thing. These precons are looking pretty good.
i would love it, when you could say what you upgraded before or after the game. Great Episode never the less

No removals on 3 decks, too many useless creatures and coersive breeches own all game
Need way more targeted removal - that pirate that steals creatures on a pirate etb should never have made it round a turn cycle let alone more

When pirates upgrade from stealing a few permanents to stealing the show instead.
I'm ngl I think the pirate deck was a bit underrated, the effect is pretty nutty if you get the right cards in the yard, especially with the blue bounce related wipes in the precons that can let you remove finality counters.

That was the best I’ve seen the pirates do and the worst showing for merfolk, which is good because they have been STRONG every time. I mean everyone losing 1/3rd of their life made a big change
why didnt elliot activate hideaway for ghalta on maddys upkeep for an additional discover 12 trigger?
