Hey Tara! Iv now started MY own business with using your tips and tricks and my stuff is coming now from online and Thank you for like teaching me how to formulate some skincare.
This is a really good formula. For usage it’ll be better if you use on Dey hands and face, massage it in for some seconds before wetting hands and washing off
Congrats on 200K subs! 🥰 I used to make lotions/creams with high oil/butters/fats content as per a workshop I took years ago at New Directions Aromatics in Canada (they don’t do them anymore and they were guest instructors). The only thing they used to “preserve” was grapefruit seed extract, which isn’t a preservative. But those lotions didn’t spoil on me, I didn’t have to keep them refrigerated and they could literally last well over a year if stored in a cool enough, dry place. Don’t ask me how but I wouldn’t use that now to preserve. I say just do the preservative anytime there’s water for safety and so you don’t waste your ingredients. 🤷🏾♀️
Congrats on 200k!! You of all people deserve it you are so lovely and talented at what you do, and work so hard. You made me fall in love with making my own skincare products and I love the inspiration and knowledge you give x
Hi Tara! I really want to try this formulation. You said the Olivem 300 is not really necessary. So if I don’t use it, what should I replace it with? More oil?
Hey Tara! Thanks for sharing this amazing formula ❤️ Loving how detailed and high quality the videos are!! Question- do you think this formula would be good as a shower oil for the body? Or just for the face?
Formulator Sample Shop has tons of oil-soluble extracts! I have been using them in anhydrous cleansing balm and just-add-water clay masks. No preservative needed if you use an OS extract instead of WS!
Hi, Tara! I am planning on formulating a cleanser I can personally use. Regarding the oat extract, can I use a hydrolyzed oat protein? It's a water-soluble plant extract, I was just wondering since it's not exactly oat, but oat protein.
I have used polyglyceryl 4 oleate instead but without using olivem 300, it has same effect oil to milk and cleanse off the make up, but it feels sticky on the skin, must use a sponge to rinse it off. 😔, Any idea how to avoid that stickiness? Thank you
Hello taralee...I just subcribed to your channel and I have seen amazing recipes💃🏼💃🏼 I will be trying out soon. Can't wait for your cleansing balm recipe
I have something similar to this (DHC brand) and I apply it on dry skin to melt away impurities and makeup first. Then wash it off with water. Not sure but yours could be a completely different type of product.
Yup, that is exactly how I explained how to use it. At the end I explained to use damp hands and massage into dry skin and to use it before your traditional cleanser to remove makeup.
@@TaraLeee I want to clarify that I use dry hands to apply it on my dry face. Once I rub it in enough to melt impurities, sunscreen and/or make-up, I wash the product off with water.
Hi Tara Lee thank you for this wonderful recipe and information can you please also share the recipe to make a hydrating day cream that is safe for outdoors
hello Tara, I do enjoy your video and thank you very much for your sharing. Please let me ask about subtitute for Polyglyceryl-3 Oleate, is there it? It is difficult to find it in my country. The one that is available here is Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate. Thank you.
Nice to look at 😊 but by the time I bought ingredients, including scale, stirrer etc and prepared this , I would have spent a lot less monies by buying a good cleansing oil 😅
Coconut oil changes from liquid to solid in different temps, so I wouldn’t recommend it. You can use any liquid oil though. So olive oil, sunflower oil, etc
@@TaraLeee can we use soy lecithin powder instead of polyglyceryl or xanthan gum nd also instaed of e-wax i don't have any liquid wax beacause some product are not available in india😕💔😔
I think 🤔 because you add oat extract which is water soluble you definitely need the preservative. If 100% only oil and the emulsifiers, you wouldn't need it.
Hey ☺️ I wanted to ask is it possible to use versagel for making skin products like for lotions , face jelly or hydrating serums and if so could you do a video on it ☺️😌

Is water Soluble extract is the same product with essential oil water soluble?
Do you think that polysorbate 80/polysorbate 20 would be a decent substitute if I don't have those emulsifiers?
One of those might work in place or Olivem 300, but not sure since I haven’t tried it.
