i'm genuinely baffled as to why they replaced so many of the cool spells from DD1 with inferior versions. like the fire spell salamander replaced had you conjure a wall of flame and then raise it up which made the fire flare up. it looked way more powerful. Brontide was a lightning whip which is way cooler than thundermine. you can't even aim maelstrom anymore.. i'm very happy with the changes to warrior but very disappointed at the changes to sorc.
If it's the one I cast, that's probably Augural Flare. If you're talking about the standard lighting bolt coming down, that's probably my mage casting High Levin. Augural Flare is basically a bomb that gets charged up by hitting it repeatedly, so my mage casting High Levin helped with that since it strikes several times.
@@almightypride7165Every class is pretty broken except for fighter. Sorcs can cast flare an murder anything, mages can silence everything and have unbreakable shields,rogues and spearhands are invincible,archers and warriors can spam knock down
*magic Archer literally one shots Dragon The game is much more enjoyable with a party of 3 tho imo. I figured it's rather 4 dudes bashing on a single mob trivializing the game, lol

You can't aim any spells manually the way you could in DD1 which doesn't make any
Their reason for removing that feature is way beyond me.

Oh there's also Thundermine. Creates an orb that repeatedly strikes things that get too close.

What body armor are you using
I think it was a quest reward for unlocking Sorcerer. If not that then it's probably just available at the armor shop in Vernworth.
Ive been running sorcerer so far but I worry like in this video its genuinely too powerful, and it may trivialize the game 😅. May switch soon

Every class is broken like this unfortunately. Especially when you level up to 40+. I mean I one shot the final boss with magic archer martyr shot 🤣
