So I actually tried this about a week ago, solo, no pawns and Thief. It was so incredibly frustrating just getting to Vern at the start I decided to drop the "project". That first oxcart "raid" was ridiculous, at like level 4 with an Ogre, Harpies, Goblins AND Wolves. The fun factor faded fast.
wondering why you didnt use helm splitter on thief, its just a godly skill and it can carry you through so many fights till you get better stuff or swapped vocations.
i have done 4 different new game solo playthroughs with fighter, archer, warrior (had to unlock it to kill anything) and mage. Abandoned mage xD and the easiest was warrior by far with the knockdown resistance the class has in its moveset is the best for DD2 hordes xD. Didnt try thief because i think it would not be a challenge if you use the Blades of the Pyre + Formless Feint but i will try it soon.
DD1 might be the better game for it, as Easy/Masterful Kill from Assassin/Strider makes the game SO EASY since you can just counter basically any incoming hit. (also the healing items healing the Loss Gauge). Still a brutal time getting from place to place though given you have no aggro mitigation there... I did notice throughout the run you often got low on Stamina running away and that's what got you to getting stunlocked/killed, did you not use the Stamina Recovery items, or did you just not show it? Frankly in a normal run they're COMPLETELY forgettable so I'd understand, but they'd be a lifesaver here. Especially with the Bubble Shield that Mystic Spearman gives you. Finally, there's like, 4 Unmoored World bosses, not 2. you completely missed some of em. basically more of the same though so doesn't really add to the challenge, just tedium as you'd proved it's totally doable. I'll admit to being really disappointed there wasn't a proper Grigori fight like the first game, but apparently there is if you get the "normal" ending! good to know! the True Ending has a very disappointing Player-engaged end as it lacks a truly climactic fight, instead resolving it in the glorified cutscene. I didn't realize how much I'd missed the Grigori fight until I saw it
@abrahamsandwich fair! It just wasn't shown so it made me think you forgot about them. If you did it again. I'd recommend the Mystic Spearhand bubble shield ability for traversal. Makes those camps way more manageable (Mirour Vesture/Mirour Shelde, rank 3/6)

The ironic thing is that sorcerer has an augment that gives a very much needed boost to your stagger resistance, which likely would have helped with the stunlock shenanigans

I'll tell you how i beat DD1 and Bitterblack isle. I didnt use any consumables and only healed using magic. Also i didnt use end game loot, i only equipped 3rd or 4th tier weapons and armor.
She's dragging on my dogma til I'm 2.
WAIT
haha an interesting way to describe traveling without a pawn. i would describe it as lonely. the game feels empty without the pawns talking your ear off😅
More than one pawn is annoying, they dont shut up, they always try to run ahead, but right in front of you, in tight places its worse. I hate pawns, except for my main, she is a awesome.
Most of the time you had the big lock on circle and it hurted me so much because the small circle lets you load up your magick arrows much faster.
Can you explain, I couldn’t figure out why my arrows loaded fast or slower
@@wayatvideos2142 You can press Y (on Xbox Controller), you will see a big circle and a small you can choose from. Just put your weapon out and press the button. Big Circle is for multiple enemies or multiple spots on bosses. The small circle is for small enemies or specifc weakspot on bigger enemies. The small circle lets you load much faster though.
I only really used the big circle for the final boss because of the multiple locations it could hit. But I used the small a majority of the time. It is definitely way better!
Fun fact you can complete glywndr archer quest as a magic archer.
I'm not sure you are aware, but I think you can get to Batahli before the story allows by going through a few caves West of Harve Village (If i remember right). I almost went there by accident on my first play through, so I'm not sure if there's anything blocking the way
There isn't. I started this game and decided to do more exploring than questing. Which eventually found me at level 9 in Battahl and quickly running for my life, missing the main town and slowly progressing until I got to the volcanic island, level 25.
I don't recommend it lol
A lot of the enemies will stun lock u and when u think they shouldn’t be able to hit u like when u already falling to the grown they definitely hit u 😂
I was honestly sad to complete this game and get all the trophies :( hope we get DLC soon
I feel that!
Love every piece of this game. Warrior lover
You have to sit down and force yourself to play it then it just becomes addictive 💯
Formless Feint ability is a GodMode.. its so overpowered that's not even interesting to play.. I don't know how you manage dies so many times with it))
I use the blackwing bow, dragonforged. Same a Medusa bow.
If you weren't trying to speed run it would be a LOT easier. Great video.
im loving this game, its not perfect but it gets hated on to all hell
So I actually tried this about a week ago, solo, no pawns and Thief. It was so incredibly frustrating just getting to Vern at the start I decided to drop the "project". That first oxcart "raid" was ridiculous, at like level 4 with an Ogre, Harpies, Goblins AND Wolves. The fun factor faded fast.
wondering why you didnt use helm splitter on thief, its just a godly skill and it can carry you through so many fights till you get better stuff or swapped vocations.
bro i literally do a solo sorceries after i beat the game and it so frustrating lol, but if you can do it, i gonna try it once more time.
i have done 4 different new game solo playthroughs with fighter, archer, warrior (had to unlock it to kill anything) and mage. Abandoned mage xD and the easiest was warrior by far with the knockdown resistance the class has in its moveset is the best for DD2 hordes xD. Didnt try thief because i think it would not be a challenge if you use the Blades of the Pyre + Formless Feint but i will try it soon.
The skull splitter is the ultimate boss and harpies killer. Try it out abra ham sammich
Harpies truly are the most annoying enemies in the game. I still haven't found a foolproof way to deal with groups of them at a time even with pawns
They honestly suck so bad!
I didn't realize how much I'd missed the Grigori fight until I saw it
I did have stamina recovery but I would use it all waaaay too fast honesty, so I never had any.
@abrahamsandwich fair! It just wasn't shown so it made me think you forgot about them.
If you did it again. I'd recommend the Mystic Spearhand bubble shield ability for traversal. Makes those camps way more manageable (Mirour Vesture/Mirour Shelde, rank 3/6)
the beard is looking fire
avoid dmg? counters, rouge dodge, mage sorc float/ thundermine, warrior knockdown resisit
you can go into your setting to turn off pawn voice lines
39:00 at this part i was legit screaming at my screan bruh you know you are solo you got a bow just first ask latter legit 1 shot of you bow shut knock them out the air....
I been playing with no pawns since I started dd2. Played with no pawns in dd1
"crashing our griffin"
Next challenge run, best the game and the unmoored world as a solo trickster
i think the most annoying part is getting grabbed or stunlocked.
Duo Best, Master and Disciple:)
Have your main pawn solo is an interesting challenge 🤔🤔
dude YES. my favorite cyberpunk youtuber coming to my new favorite game?? hell yeah.
🤘🏻
Man i wanted to play this game so much but it wont work on my pc i was so excited guys i have to wait till they fix it
Dang, I hope you get the chance to play soon!
Thief magick warfarer is an incredible play for solo play. Masterfull kill, Shadow Veil, sagittate Downpour, rearmament. Use shadow veil then swap to Mystic Archer to become very slippery. Augments I make sure to get the skill that regain stamina on kills. Keeps you topped off when fighting mobs
Yeah they work really well together!
This game is truly sth special. More importantly we need someone to come up with a better Keanu. This current one isn’t good enough
LOL Dark Souls 2 levels of enemy aggro
The ironic thing is that sorcerer has an augment that gives a very much needed boost to your stagger resistance, which likely would have helped with the stunlock shenanigans
yeah it would have been nice to get.
like dude yah those pawns never shut up, like seriously where is the only when completely necessary dialog option. i might have to play solo too, i hate chatty teammates
My pawn is my waifu I could conquer the lands with literally only her by my side😂
I love this game too. Such mindless fun for hours. I love being called master too by my pawn. And the goblins are dicks.
Goblins suck in this game haha!
Any other dd II runs planned?👀
currently no, all the ideas I had have already been done by people and this video didn't perform super well for me sadly.
@@abrahamsandwich I see, sorry to hear that☹️ well, whatever you gonna do next, good luck with it✌️
Appreciate it!
3:50 😂😂
