I'll give you credit: followed step by step and this worked perfect. Before this the game would start up but then loop after choosing what game you wanted to play. I'm not keen on downloading programs I could find little about, But damn it man, WoWS, WoT, War Thunder, Conan Exiles, Crossout, EVE.... all of them I've played until ultimate boredom. Generals and Zero Hour never did that to me. Thank you for the very detailed vid and thank you for giving me my game back! LET'S GO DOCTOR THRAX!!!!!
I am estatic that I can play my C&C Gernerals now! I installed the CD and the game would not launch after installing. I followed your instructions and it now runs. I will have to play around with the Gen Tool but I am most pleased that I can relive some of my favorite moments with this game. Thank you!
Thank you for making GenPatcher. Command and Conquer Generals is my favorite game, and I have not been able to play it since 2013. I tried everything I could find online to get it to run on Windows 8.1 and 10, but nothing worked, but GenPatcher does work, and now I can enjoy it again!

I tried installing GenPatcher on Windows 11 but it always freezes at that exact point: 2:04 Command prompt only displays my Documents folder of C&C Generals Data, but no error message or anything. Tried both Online and Offline installer and both freeze at that point. And i turned off Real Time Virus scan too.
Seems that GenPatcher doesn't want to apply the fixes for me, I get an error about failing to install 'disable origin ingame'' And suggests that I disable my virus scanner, which I have already done.

Legi, how did you manage to get 120fps consistently? My pc should be able to pull out those fps. But for some reason it stays stuck at 30. If I force the game files to run it, the game just goes unplayable fast. How did you get around this? Or has it something to do with playing on an online server?
Nevermind I just found you indeed have to NOT play locally. Just creating a LAN game is enough. Leaving this comment here just in case anyone else has the same question.

Thanks for making this, the sky is not missing anymore but theres still a couple of things that need fixing: fire doesnt burn trees like it did on the disk version and battlemaster tank treads are not moving, its annoying me alot for some reason especially the tank treads... pls fix Also i wanted to ask if you might want to expand on the features and fixes you added? Add the stuff they planned for ZH but cut due to time constraints? Im sure you know most of that cut stuff already but for example every general was supposed to have their own unique command center, all of them are there in the game files except tank general command center. General juhziz challenge, General fai challenge. Optional ofcourse. And being able to select a different commander for campaign as a feature. Please make the game complete, it is your destiny Anakin!
soooo i had the 1st deckhead on an old drive that ive plugged into a new computer that doesnt have a dvd drive and it seems to just work. so i copied the folder across to my kids computer and on there computer it asks for the CD but it doesnt on mine? is this a windows registery thing? because i copied windows across to the new computer from the old 1 too or will this patcher thing fix the problem?

I picked up playing c&c generals and zero hour again after many years on my gaming laptop that I bought last year. My laptop is running windows 11 and the game works as is, but it's running like half the frame rate, not as smooth as when I played back I'm 2016 Do I absolutely need Genpatcher to play Generals/ZH at the highest fps nowadays? I prefer to play the game in it's purest form lol thanks

Would love to have a recommended settings video as if I play 6 or more players the game crashes after having too many units, even if gfx settings are low. Running win11, 5800x3d, 3080ti, 32g ram, 1440p res screen.
What if I downloaded it b4 and deleted it after it patched the game? Do I have to download it again and do that stuff again or what? And also how to make sure all files are deleted b4 I download it again
When GenPatcher has applied the fixes, you can delete it. GenPatcher's fixes to the game will remain functional, even after removing GenPatcher. All GenPatcher files are in the Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\GenPatcher folder
yeah i've been working on a solution. i've created a separate program that u can run before starting the game. it will then detect when the game is running and re-enable edge scrolling. i'm planning to release it with the next version of GenPatcher in a couple of weeks. if you're interested in trying it out right now, message me on Discord, and i'll send it to u :)
when i click fix in the dekstop appears 2 different command and conquer and both have bug when i click the units to move they stay there and they dont move how to fix it?...And when i open it from EA the game doing missmatch. HELP
@@zz6449 if the game works, then u dont need it. if the game doesn't work, then u might wanna give it a shot. a list of all the fixes are on the website. genpatcher scans your system & game installation and only applies what is needed. it wouldnt make sense to only do some of the fixes.

no GenPatcher won't fix it. u have to install the game with an official installer first. copying across the files won't be enough

New Control Bar UI does not work if you play via GameLauncher. Not sure how to use the new UI on GenLauncher.

Why the max zoom out does work only in skirmish and not in network local game?
The creator of GenTool purposely disabled additional zoom for multiplayer

why would u want to do the fixes manually? and why would u want the option to choose which fixes you want to apply?
