It's really nice incarnation of the original. I had the original from 08. I love how they went direct mount forbthe pups and the murdered put look. I'm definitely will be buying this version.
We totally agree! Give us a call at (800)-800-0087 when you're ready and we'll set you up with our TH-cam family deal ;)
Just bought one because I use to play a Jackson Warrior back in the day (and now the WR1's are 4 grand). The X shaped guitars are super comfortable to play. Just have to wait a few months for it to get here.
Let us know how you like it, Luce! :)
Really nice and pleasant to see Nick here
Awesome! Love the mix
Cool track!😉
I love this but I wish ibanez made a hardtail version of both the 6 and 7 as well. I'd buy either one then!
Right? I'm holding out for the hardtail. Would be a day one purchase from me.
Yep needing a string through version asap
We would not be surprised to see Ibanez release a hardtail version! Stay tuned. ;)
2 years later and no hardtail came out :( I just bought one and will block the Floyd rose
@AHFxCK boooooo! But congrats as well!
thatnk you for this video you actually dialed ina pretty great tone for the instrument. Ive seen some dudes making the thing sound muddy AF
I like this video ! 👍
Thanks Daniel! :)
I really enjoy Nick Hill's Helix videos! Is Nick an employee there? Also, I have the 7-string version ordered
and I have a BLACK (SwitchCraft) pickup selector to install...along with DiMarzio Illuminators! I can't wrap
my head around why Ibanez put a silver switch on it.
Need them in that iridescent finish they did when they last came out
🖤
It goes heavy!
Would love to see the 7 string variant!
Noted! We'll do a video when we get one in stock. :)
Beautiful! Hey how about a review of 1 of the new Ibanez AZ Essential? I want one so bad!
We're an Ibanez dealer so we'll put that one on the list! Ya thinking heavy tunes as well?
@@CreamCityMusic well, it has to be heavy, this is High Gain! The AZ whether it's the Prestige or Essential is a tribute to the vintage beauty of guitars, so maybe a subtle nod to that as well. But, I want to see what these bad boys can do! You could do a Tone Check for the SSS and a High Gain for the HSS. I've been dying for one of them, just can't right now. Can't decide if I like the HSS or SSS best!
@@trevinbracken2889 Why not both? ;) haha
@@CreamCityMusic Ibanez is my dad and I favorite guitars. I love Fenders, but Ibanez will always be ours. We just had his 1 year memorial. He was a musician for 60 years. Amazing musician, amazing man. Loved Ibanez. I have his Ibanez artcore, his Ibanez Classical acoustic electric and his prized Ibanez 5 string bass. He used them religiously. He loved Vintage fenders, but he loved Ibanez. He would of went crazy over these. My guess, he would of wanted the HSS, he was a Jazz, blues, rock Guy. Loved the HSS setup. Next time I can afford, I'll be eyeing these bad boys. Haven't had a new Ibanez in so long. Love this channel. To much Fender/Squier Gibson/Epiphone saturation, I get tired of it. One thing I can safely say, Ibanez is one company who has never slacked on quality control.
@@trevinbracken2889 Thanks so much for sharing some of your dad's musical story! The heritage and quality of Ibanez is truly something special as is the relationship we develop with our gear. :)
Whats the tone from?
Nice. Do you need batteries to power the pickups?
Nope.
Is the guitar off balance? I know some guitars can be heavier where you play at so it makes it off balance
Nice tone! What tuning does the guitar is? Does it came stock what that tuning ?
We'll ask Nick what he tuned to. Stock tuning is E to E :)
Is it confortable to play has a smooth fretaboard?
Yes, absolutely! Give us a call if you've got any questions or for our TH-cam family deal on this one: (800) 800-0087 ☺️
its crazy this is what Jermey Piven is up to after entourage
Hilarious ……
I wonder... does it neckdive? Most X shaped guitars have and i really hate that.
We didn't find it to be much of an issue on this one!
From what songs are the riffs?
These riffs ended up in a track called "Indifferent of Peference" by Detra Cortina
Are these active or passive pick ups?
passive
Any neck dive when playing standing up ?
Nope! It's quite well balanced
@@CreamCityMusic awesome ! Thank you! - mine just came in
@@maximumguitarage Right on!
@@CreamCityMusic thanks 👍! Great vid by the way. Subbed
people that get offended/uncomfortable when hearing about metal usually have boring taste in music lol just saying.
Truth! lol
bud... @ 2:24.
That riff turned kinda gross and I liked it.
Great demo.
The guitar is absolutely amazing but , can it used to play other genres what about clean tones
I think its safe to say this one is more suited for metal than anything else, especially since its Iron Label.
It looks like Scott Lepage used it on ego death with both clean and lead tones
Is it good for doom metal?
Made in Japan right
Indonesia
Indonesia
The one I have says made in Japan
Safety glasses optional...eh!
Would have been nice to hear without the backing track
Maybe, but then everyone would skip yeah part. You can’t win them all :)
Maybe we'll consider that someday. :)
