I love Xenoblade 2. I was not able to play the original, but I am glad it is a Chronicle series so I can enjoy the second one without needing to play the first one. It is a fun ride and I hope to see hype for this just like these guys did.

@Vesmir Nel I knew that it was Xenoblade because I know that the first scene is Makna Falls, and having sunk 1300+ hours into the New 3DS port, I know that scene very well...

The first 2 or 3 notes is all it takes, that theme really is that iconic :)

You can tell how much Xenoblade fans love this series. There wasn’t a single person that had a moderate reaction, everyone was so happy. This Xenoblade remake could honestly be one of the greatest games of all time.

I was playing MTG with my dad and watching the Direct, I dropped my cards when I heard those notes. I cannot wait for this game to come and I can enjoy it all over again for the third time
Reminds me of the Cloud reveal for Smash. Most people saw stars and thought it was Wolf. Meanwhile Maximilian recognized it pretty quick. Fans can catch that stuff as fast as you can blink. Fun, ain't it?

@@heehomgee4671 Gaur Plains is the right upper leg. The shoulder was an area that appeared in 2 cutscenes but was inaccessible in the main game.

@@heehomgee4671 In case you didn't know, the Bionis Shoulder was also meant to be a playable area in the original game but was ultimately cut. It would have been the largest area in the game if it was left in, so it makes sense to set the new story there.

So funny story about this announcement. When I originally watched this Direct, I was lying face sideways on the couch and pissed at a bad day, but as soon as those first three notes of that song started playing, I jerked my head up and screamed “YYYYYYEESSSSSSS” and scared the crap out of my dog and my mother who were right next to me. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a game in my life. Do I wish to change the future? No, I don’t. Not when this is what is coming.

Im happy that some people noticed that the area at the end (Bionis Shoulder) wasn't in the original game and had to be cut, but some people noticed it being either a new area or knew it was the area that was cut from the Wii version

@@Silverdragon98 I feel like he's well-intentioned most of the time, but when the last Direct I didn't see a single soul be disappointed he has a title like "the okayest direct ever" and didn't think Xenoblade Definitive was any remote big deal (which kinda is fine if you don't care about Xenoblade but that might feel just a tad mean towards its fans)...and then getting criticism for it and being all "siiiiiiiiigh I wish people would watch the full video" in the comments, sometimes it feels like he himself takes himself too serious.

The moment you hear the music or saw the waterfalls in the neck from the bionis everyone already lost their shit.
I remember watching this for the first time. I looked at the scenery and thought, "Wait, is that Makna Falls? That's the Fallen Arm. That's Eryth Sea! That's the Bionis' Leg!" I started squealing in sheer happiness. I was so distracted by how good Melia looked that I didn't notice the shoulder until the second time around. Then I squealed even louder.
I kept thinking, "Man, Emile's going to freak out!" Because that's how I was introduced to the game; his very in-depth Let's Play that showed just how much he loved this game. I can't wait to finally play and experience it for myself!

I don’t have any recording software or anything, but Xenoblade is my favorite game of all time, and I recognized the game from the first two notes of the opening song, and I went nuts. I had a copy of The Monado Archives nearby, and when I saw the Bionis Shoulder I grabbed my book and started kissing it out of sheer excitement

Speculation on it is it's a new replica from a cut sidequest that's in the art book, where they go to find a machine to restore 7's body, where it also mentions Shulk making his own Monado replica.
