Objectively,the best resident evil is re3: nemesis ;immediately after there is re4(2005). There are NO other excellent,optimal or even good resident evil. Only fair(re0,re1,re2),almost insufficient but with a great potential(re7),almost unplayable(re5,re revelations,code veronica,re1 remake,re2 remake,re3 remake,re4 remake,re village), unplayable(re6)and obscene(re resistance,re outbreak)
Great list but where is the resident evil deadly silent I love that game when I played the first time I went all the way through almost without any breaks😂
I also liked the castle section. Quick time events though, not so much. I bought a GameCube for that game. I had gotten out of gaming for a few years until RE4 brought me back. I did not even mind the escort sections. Plus, Mercenaries was amazing.

Great list of Resident Evil games! I finally succeeded to play through Resident Evil 4. It's been to me like summertime game and I usually have continued next summer where I left in previous summer. There has had been those stuck moments like two giants or what you had in gameplay like Salazar.
Yes dude I'm so glad you mentioned Outbreaks in a good light. It way waaay ahead of it's time (to its own detriment). But now we can download trackers to see what your team mates have in their inventory and discord or anything else for voice chat. Before you had no idea where they were, they could finish the level and you would have no idea lmao.

Man I will never forget the first time I played Resident Evil on Sega Saturn in 1997 I was 15 years old and I freaked out like never before. This game is one of my all time favorite and makes Capcom my favorite game maker alongside with the Street Fighter series.

Awesome video!! I also think RE1 Remake is the greatest RE game of all time. Regarding RE Dualshock OST, yeah its pretty goofy, but I will say the save them is fire in that game. RE0 was cool at the beginning on the train, but yeah the item management gets old quick. Would be cool if you did tier list videos on other great franchises such as Silent Hill or Final Fantasy.

Resident Evil 3 Original is my favorite in the whole series and what they did with the Remake is an absolute crime. Amazing video brother, peace from Saudi Arabia.
Solid list. I only disagree about 4 since I think 1-4 is like the most solid back to back mainline titles a franchise can have. But I understand your gripes about it, I'm pretty fond of the castle myself and never had a issue with Ashley though so that helps my on preference. Also you were right Resident Evil 5 was overtaken in sales for a while by Resident Evil 7, 8, and 2 remake. But still in the top 10 best selling Capcom games of all time as listed on their website. But it's strange since they're not counting Resident Evil 4 as a single entity, they count every single port as a individual game in terms of sales unless they released together like the PS3/360 version or PS4/Xbox One versions. But the overall sales for RE4, not including the remake are still behind RE7 and RE2 Remake. Which is wild.
It’s funny how Mr. X and Nemesis basically switched rolls from the original to the remakes. Mr. X in the remake acted how Nemesis did in the original and vice versa. Also that’s awesome you like the boat section in RE7, I think it’s an underrated part of the game. Also I think it’s the second spookiest area in the game after the mansion.
I recently picked RE 5 back up, I've been playing the mercenary missions. I had a friend years ago (on a defunct profile) and we had all the characters S or SS rank on every level.

Revelations 1 and 2 & the darkside Chronicles are my best favorite resident evil games. Claire redfield and jill Valentine are my best favorite characters
I loved survivor so I am glad you didn't put it in bad even though id have put it higher. When I first played it I was constantly trying to find a save point wondering why I couldn't find where to save and worrying about getting killed because I didn't know if I'd be put to the start or not and I didn't have internet back then for help and so I ended up finishing it with out any deaths. It's a case of going in to a game blind making it way better. I would have put Code Veronica in Essential personally. Resident Evil Gaiden is the only RE game to be developed in the UK and so I'd bump that up out of pure bias.
Really enjoyed this video, I agree with most of your picks. Kicking off the video and you put the PS1 games all in the top tier, I knew you were gonna nail it. The only things I disagree with is that I still put OG RE4 above the remake.. the gunplay is so crisp in the OG. RE5 I’d put in good, and as for RE6.. I think I’d need a tier worse than bad. Everything else is on point. Love when you talk about resident evil though, you’re definitely a true fan so can respect where you’re ranking these.

Resident Evil on the Saturn with one cheat code: infinite shotgun. Still prefer Resident Evil Zero. Finished it not too long ago--- finally. I would like to see that PS1 train stage ported to N64 and play it the way it was meant to be played.

Remember to choose Billy for the bigger fights like the infamous bat fight as he has more health, and remember you can walk outside the church mid fight to get more ammo, and if you want an easy time with the tyrant it literally can’t move if you aim up with a grenade launcher and keep shooting till he drops.

Interesting. Yeah do more tier list videos. I'm not really into the resident evil games. I have a few and tried them for about an hour each. I'm not a fan of the tank controls. So Resident evil 1-3 are not that appealing. One day I'll get back into them. Not too long ago I played Fear effect 2 which seems similar to the Resident evil style of gameplay. It was okay, but it got really hard in the middle to end of the game. I had to use cheat codes to continue to playing. So If I can use cheat codes in a Resident evil game, then I am more interested.

For me my top 3 is 1. Resident Evil 3 (Original) 2. Resident Evil 2 (Original) 3. Resident Evil 4 (Remake) And i agree with your opinion on Resident Evil 3 Remake, probably the most disappointing game ive ever played
I cant understand why they phoned in RE3 remake. Then to skip code V remake for RE4 first bc it would sell better? Sure but 3 wouldve done better too if you tried so.... Capcom should remake it again and call it nemesis or gold edition. Code V is the true 3rd game anyway.
Bruh the original RE is barely playable nowdays. That was pure nostalgia talking, the remake is far superior and very good to this day. RE4 has very clunky controls by today's standards so i can't call it a 10/10. RE2 Remake is the goat in my opinion along with RE Remake. RE2 and RE3 are classics but not for modern audiences so you can't really recommend them to youngsters. REVII revitalised the series and it's memorable for sure. REVIII is a step down from the pure horror of VII.

Iv always enjoyed Revelations more on 3DS than the console or PC port. I seems more atmospheric and scarier somehow.

Objectively,the best resident evil is re3: nemesis ;immediately after there is re4(2005).
There are NO other excellent,optimal or even good resident evil. Only fair(re0,re1,re2),almost insufficient but with a great potential(re7),almost unplayable(re5,re revelations,code veronica,re1 remake,re2 remake,re3 remake,re4 remake,re village), unplayable(re6)and obscene(re resistance,re outbreak)

I cant understand why they phoned in RE3 remake. Then to skip code V remake for RE4 first bc it would sell better? Sure but 3 wouldve done better too if you tried so.... Capcom should remake it again and call it nemesis or gold edition. Code V is the true 3rd game anyway.

Bruh the original RE is barely playable nowdays. That was pure nostalgia talking, the remake is far superior and very good to this day. RE4 has very clunky controls by today's standards so i can't call it a 10/10. RE2 Remake is the goat in my opinion along with RE Remake. RE2 and RE3 are classics but not for modern audiences so you can't really recommend them to youngsters. REVII revitalised the series and it's memorable for sure. REVIII is a step down from the pure horror of VII.

How can RE Outbreak #2 be under the 1st one when they just added and improved stuff without ruining the core mechanics? it makes no sense, same with RE Village, it shouldn't be under that cringe worthy joke 7, both are meh games btw but objectively speaking Village is better than 7, also the awful cringe worthy shooters that are the remakes that you placed on top for no real reason, those aren't good games lol, expecially RE2R and RE4R
