Sofilein & Harald van Horn bei Militracks 2019 - Panther, Hetzer, Sd.Kfz 11, Renault FT

- Seit 10 Jahren gibt es Militracks, eine Veranstaltung des Kriegsmuseum in der Gemeinde Overloon, Niederlande. Auch 2019 kamen die Fans historischer Wehrmachts-Fahrzeuge auf ihre Kosten. Die Panzerfahrzeuge "Panther" und "Hetzer" gehörten zu den besonders im Focus stehenden Kettenfahrzeugen.
Zum ersten mal war es möglich, alle je von der Wehrmacht gebauten Halbketten-Zugfahrzeuge in einer Veranstaltung zu präsentieren. Von kleinen Ketten-Krad bis zur 18t Halbketten Zugmaschine sowie dem schweren Wehrmachtsschlepper, von dem es nur noch ein fahrtüchtiges Exemplar weltweit gibt. Seine Restauration zog sich über fünfzehn Jahre hin, bis es 2018 hier vorgestellt werden konnte.
Wir trafen Sofilein und Harald. Sie sind in Spiele/Gamer-Szene und als TH-camr aktiv und bekannt.
Wegen eines Kamera-Defekts sind einige Szenen nicht so wie wir sie gerne hätten, und deshalb möchten uns für die schlechte Qualität einiger Aufnahmen entschuldigen. Wir hoffen dennoch, dass Euch unser Bericht über Militracks 2019 gefällt und über einen "Daumen hoch" freuen..
I really get a kick out of how excited she gets at this stuff. Its nice seeing young people get excited about history and engineering.
Awe, I had my heart set on listening to Sofilein speaking German with an American accent. Seeing her joy at riding around in a half-truck was enough pleasure to like the video. Vielen dank, meine herren und dammen.

@@Hermelin315 Sofilein is an American of German ancestry. So yes, ethnically German, but by nativity, American. But her joy in playing around "thick" steel AFVs is wonderful to behold.

And I have to say that the Renault FT looks fantastic , without a gun, they're friendly .
It's a command version, unarmed and with a 3 place for a radio-operator.
Sofi is adorable. A good-looking woman with a great personality, smart, knowledgeable and open to learning who loves military land Hardware! Almost unbelievable.
Or she is just a hired actress for War Gaming to get some perverts to invest more money on their game

Sehr aufschlussreich. Bin selbst Meister in der KFZ - Instandsetzung, allerdings schon im Ruhezustand. War in der schweren LKW - Instandsetzung und hätte wirklich lust da mit zu arbeiten. Leider geht alles einmal vorbei. Danke für dieses herrliche Video.

For all of you who wonder what the writing means and what the guy explained:
This halftrack was used by the "German Society for Rescuing Castaways" (writing on the door).
They would drive as close as possible to the location of the shipwreck and fire a rocket with a rope attached to it aiming slightly higher than the ship.
Further explaination is cut.

Sofilein you would love the Australian armoured tank museum that is up at Cairns. They do a walk around but not as good as you they have a running Tiger, panther, and others but have a very rare panzer iv. Love your show thanks

The number of different models and types the Germans used had to be a spare parts nightmare. Lots of machine work and field modifications.

That vehicle Sofi was riding in, the one based on an FT-17 (or such) did not have a turret - I'm guessing it is a command or communications variant?

A sea rescue halftrack - interesting peace of kit (DGrRS is the still very active German Organisation for the rescue of shipwrecked, a volunteer/donation founded organisation)

The Panther appears to have one or two broken torsion bars towards the front of the hull. @1.55 you can see the hull is ''nose down'' when on level ground. You see see it quite clearly when looking at the bottom line of the side skirts.

Finaly some halftracks... its ok with Pz I-VI, but you got to love Demags, Hanomags, Krauss-Maffeis and Famos :)

Faszinierend wenn man wie ich leidenschaftlicher Kraftfahrer ist - der Verbrauch dieser wahrscheinlich meist Benzin betriebenen Fzg . Muß ja wohl auch ziemlich krass sein , ich verstehe nicht , warum man nicht schon damals mehr Dieselmotoren verwendet hat
Da gibts ein Video zu wesshalb sie kein Diesel benutzt haben auf dem Kanal Deutsches Panzermuseum
Weil man ihre technische Entwicklung kaum gefördert hat und es dadurch nur wenige leistungsfähige Dieselmotoren gab. Sie fanden fast nur in der Marine Verwendung (U-Boote, S-Boote). Für LKW's und Panzer wurden kaum welche entwickelt, obwohl es sich später, gerade bei den schweren Panzern (Panther, Tiger I und II) zeigte, daß der Benzinmotor an der Grenze seiner Leistungsfähigkeit angelangt war und das Treibstoffproblem immer verheerender wurde.

Mark Hepworth ...good point. I’ve found myself several times wanting to comment on her attractiveness but I evidently have better control of myself than some. But she is smoking hot plus she likes AFVs....most definitely a rare young lady.

Weil diese Art von Fahrzeugen ,, entmilitarisiert" werden mußten- bedeutet , keine funktionsfähige Waffen mehr zu haben
Ist nunmal in Deutschland Vorschrift, daß die Waffen nicht funktionsfähig sein dürfen. In England und den USA sieht es anders aus.
