    I have a two questions. In location lets say we wanna target homeowners in a city so would be go for specific locations or entire city? Especially for a City like Dubai?
    If you want only messages what objective you suggest? Sales or Engagement? Coz both of these objectives have messaging app as the location.

    i will say i selected open targeting at the beginning of this year in a niche market and got a sale on the first day, at the beginning of this year. But, that is just my experience. Thank you Ben. Since then, sales have been consistent with open targeting for me, in a specified market.

    Hi Ben, Ben here lol. I got to say this video has been extremely useful to progression my knowledge and understanding of meta as a platform and system. I did have one question though... When testing certain ad sets and campaigns, is there a minimum budget you would recommend per ad? When testing certain ads that is.

  • @roeytr
    @roeytr ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You are the best! Thank you for the great content.
    One question please, why you are not testing each one of your retargeting audiences in a separate adset?
    There might be a way that one or more audiences are not working well...

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot.
      That's a good question. Unless I suspect for some reason that a warm audience isn't performing, we basically know that it will outperform all cold audiences and can therefore will want to target all of them anyway.

    Hi Ben, your content is so helpful and I appreciate all your videos. I'd love to hear your advice on what to do if our ideal target audience is smaller than you recommended. For example, if my ads are specifically targeted towards dentists in the US, but the audience size is pretty small. Would you recommend opening the audience up to something like "healthcare" to get a broader audience?

    Hi, thanks for tat video!! Really helpful.
    I am watching this during my the pre opening phase of our restaurant business. Therefore we have no existing audience. My question is how long do you think is a good period to wait for before using RETARGETING campaigns? What would be some numbers to look at before beeing able to say "okay, we can do retargeting now".
    Thanks a lot.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  ปีที่แล้ว

      Happy to help :)
      I'd set up your retargeting from day one. I think there is little downside in doing so. If you don't have enough people in your retargeting audience initially then ads just won't run within that ad set until it's large enough.

    Hi Ben, great video. I have a couple of questions.
    1. You mentioned to test singular interests/behaviours/demographics. How many would you say to put together in one ad when you find out which ones work well, or would you just keep 1 keyword that works?
    2. What is the daily ad spend to test the singular keyword you recommend and for how long?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks :)
      1) I don't like to combine them even after testing :)
      2) Ad spend is dictated by the objectives of the business not specific targeting options. I'd recommend checking out my channel for more videos on how to calculate an appropriate starting budget.

    Hey Ben, how many days do you usually let a campaign run to know if its not performing well?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  ปีที่แล้ว

      Average would be 7 but days doesn't really matter. It's conversion volume and the cost you need to look at. For example if you only generate 2 conversions a day you'll probably need to wait a lot longer than 7 days to assess. If you generate 2,000 conversions a day, it'll take a lot less time.

    Hey Ben, thanks for all the tips & tricks I have followed you for a few years now... I have a question about "stacking" which I know most marketers advise against, however when I stack interests together (especially in very niche industries) they seem to perform well. I have also done the same with LA audiences where I stack them together and then save that as a "Mega LA Audience" and many times that is the best performing audience... So, I am just curious as to why other marketers don't stack interest or lookalikes? Appreciate any feedback. Cheers from Australia

  • @utopianseries
    @utopianseries ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Hi Ben,
    We love your content, nicely done! I had a question about Video Views. It seems that creating a different audience for each video tends to perform better. The reason is I believe Meta treats the campaign as an OR if we split videos into different audiences vs an AND if we put all videos in one audience. In the AND case, it seems that if one hasn't watched one of the videos, the ad won't reach them. Think of it as a Venn diagram, is that true?

    Hi Ben, thank you very much for this tutorial. It was really useful. As for the awareness campaigns, does it make sense to include in the target who is already a costumer along with the cold audience? I agree with you that it's important to maintain a long-lasting connection, because it's very easy for them to buy back. However, it'd better to create a seperate campaign for them with a specific content?

  • @noctis5299

    Hi Ben,
    I'm new to Facebook Ads and have a newbie question.
    I have two dimensions for my video assets. They are 1:1 and 9:16.
    Can I use both these videos in one Ad Set? The placements I have chosen will be for Newsfeed and Stories/Reels.
    My only worry is that my 9:16 will not fit in the Newsfeed, and the 1:1 will not fit in the Stories/Reels. Cropping the videos won’t work either, because they only look good in their native dimensions.
    I also do not want to create two Ad Sets with separate placements.
    This is because I am using three types of targeting altogether. So If I create Ad Sets for different targeting, and for different placements, it will become too cumbersome.
    What do you think?
    As always, thanks for doing what you do. Your videos have helped me immensely on my journey.

    • @davidosborne8417
      @davidosborne8417 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Go to the ad level, click edit, and scroll down to where it says media. This will show you your ad placements and from there you can click "edit group" which will allow you to change the ad for multiple placements or you can click the drop-down on the right and it will allow you to change the ad for individual placements. That way you can have custom ad sizing for stories, feed, search, etc, and will not have to create multiple ads or ad sets.

    • @noctis5299
      @noctis5299 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidosborne8417 Thanks for the reply!
      Say if my 1:1 and 9:16 are completely different videos, and they are within the same ad level (because I edit the ad level group to accommodate the two), how will I be able to determine which advert performed the best?
      Because all of my different videos will only be within one ad level, when I go to check it at the ad level performance, it will be the accumulation of all my adverts. So I won't know which one has performed better than the other.
      I really hope I made sense! lol.
      This is all still new to me.

Question: I made previous post like campaigns and page like campaigns targeting different Countries (Spain, Ireland, Italy etc..), so when I select the customized audience that I made, like for example the people who interacted with the page or a post (warm) etc, will the ad be shown specifically to those people despite the fact that they live in different Countries?
    Thank you!

    Hey Ben! Great video. When you have a relatively low budget of ~15$/ day, how would you set up the ad? The more ad sets the more ad spend, so in this case, would it be better to run them one by one or simply throw in multiple interest in one ad set? Or would you still go for separate ad sets with different interests?

      Thanks :)
      With smaller budgets you do want to reduce the number of variables used. So just take your time testing the various options. I still like to use one interest per ad set.

    Thank you, Ben. I'm a regular viewer of your videos, and I was familiar with all of this, but I made a mistake somewhere. I tried to narrow down the audience size by using lookalike with interests, aiming for a smaller budget to work, but I completely forgot to set the city instead of the state. I'll be trying again today, and I hope to see the results soon.

    Hello ben i hope you could answer me ! When adding an interest as you mentioned you recommend testing only 1 interest in a campaign ? Or maybe try and ad 3-4 interests in one campaign?

    Hi Ben, thank you again for your fantastic videos :-D I'm creating a new campaign with Advantage+ and am wondering if I should keep Detailed marketing to a minimum (say max 3-5 interests) or if more (say 8-10) is better? My business is a small, local health-care clinic (reflexology and acupuncture). Thanks again :-), BR, Eva (Denmark)

    Hey Ben, is it ok to run ads for competitors in the same city? Or should I avoid that?

    Need your reply Ben...
    Let's make a case. Let's say, 2 days later there is a concert of Drake near my client’s restaurant. I want to run ads campaign to target those people who are coming to the concert. Now how can I SPECIFICALLY target those people via my ads campaign?
    I know my question may sound a bit messy. Need some suggestion from you.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question - don't say: Are you going to Drake's concert
      Meta won't like that.
      Instead use copy like:
      You know what goes great with a Drake concert... Our (INSERT SPECIAL OFFER)
      You can put the special offer on your ad creative as well.
      That sort of campaign should crush it.

      @@BenHeathI have another question.
      Let's say, I selected 5 miles radius of the concert arena as location. Which people are going to see my ad?
      1. People who live in that location?
      Or,
      2. People who are present at that location on that particular time?
      Or,
      3.Both?
