I feel the same way. Wash day has become my “me” time”. I can listen to my music or binge watch Netflix. I couldn’t get around wash day so I decided to change the way I look at it. I’ve never pre pooed but I will definitely try it.
lol girl you fighting that hair! haha remind me of myself! I think you need a conditioner with more slip so you don't have to fight so hard...I use that cheap cheap VO5 lol
You're so beautiful and your hair is everything! I only detangle my hair twice during my wash day and styling because I hate detangling but it seems so easy and relaxing when you did it, made me wanna detangle that much😍 By the way, you should try Cantu products. That is the product I use and it is so damn good, plus it smells heavenly!
Thank you so much🥰 !! Yes girl I use to hate detangling but I had to fr change my mindset about my hair because if I don’t detangle Issa hot mess 😭 imma check out Cantu too!!
Love this, it's a lot of work considering how much hair you have, I did a short wash day video too and I and my short hair are tired, but I plan to make it a weekly thing so, we keep going. Great video
Hey❤️Love Ur Videos. Have you ever tried sectioning your hair for wash day? It’s a life saver. I have 4B/4C and Less breakage/less struggles/easier detangling process.
Hey Hey love your hair tis gorgeous! One shampoo I recommend is the shea moisture palm oil and cocoa butter detangling shampoo. I love it for my type 4 hair you can literally detangle your hair with the shampoo and water. It's so moisturizing as well I def recommend.
Do you wash your hair every two weeks or sometime else and also what do you do every day until the next wash day, Also what do you do when you have split ends
Once every two weeks but I use cowash in between but the full wash day is on Sundays twice a month for ME (varying depending on my current hairstyle lol)
Lmao yeah I had to learn to love it slowly ! Try putting on a good tv show or album drink some wine (if you’re old enough) and make it a relaxing experience/ pamper day !!
My twin and I are trying to go natural but our mom won’t let us cut our ends(our ends our straight) so now we keep going to the hair salon and getting twist that you have to put rollers in to keep them curly since the ends aren’t. Do you think this method will get our ends to be curly and also what exactly is a pre po?
Yeah from what I know it’s best to cut off dead ends and damaged ends for the best growth ...I know it’s hard when you can’t control your own hair 🥴 but I’ve also seen other girls go natural without doing a big chop even with relaxed ends I think the process is just a lot slower! But the best way to go natural is to maybe do protective styling and put your hair away for a while then maybe once it gets to a certain length your mom will let you chop!
Tbh still figuring out what products I like but aunt Jackie’s I loveeeee their curl gel is everything !! also mielle has so many good conditioners and as I am products are my favorite too their double butter and cowash make my hair so soft !!
If you want to keep it simple. Just use a leavin conditioner (you need to find what works for you) and blue magic/grease as a sealant. If u use blue magic/grease use a sulfate shampoo. It will keep you from breakage. I would also recommend wearing protective styles if you want to. Two flat twist or cornrows and you are good to go. The length I have now is incredible and i didnt do a lot. If you dont want long hair. Still make sure to keep your hair health. Also dont forget to deep condition (it makes your hair so soft.)
I wash once every two weeks but I use cowash in between(“as I am”has a really good cowash) but the full wash day is on Sundays twice a month for ME (varying depending on my current hairstyle lol)
Thank you so much for sharing! Please note: Shampooing twice (or even three times, given the extensive pre-poo) will help your post-shampoo products be more effective. Also, please consider being more gentle with yourself! Just because you CAN rake your comb through your hair doesn't mean you should. Sectioning is definitely tedious, but taking more time to get products evenly distributed would only encourage growth. Otherwise, this was an extremely helpful and appreciated tutorial!
Oyin Gingermint Cowash. It’s a cleanser and deep conditioner in one. Just scrub your scalp and then let it sit for 5 or so minutes while you shower your body then rinse and you’re hair will be ready for a leave-in right after. Let me know if you try it.
My hair looks exactly like this! Too many people are 4c fishing ! 😭
Girl it’s rough out here 😭
Mine too!!!! Omg
it’s really weird lol
Girl! And it's so annoying 😭

your hair so pretty and thick 😍
Thank you !!😃
I feel you on wash days, I used to HATE it in the beginning when I was getting to know my hair all over again, but now I look forward to it☺
Yes girl I had to relearn from all the past trauma 😭
Girl, sections, sections then comb through from root to near the ends while holding the section.
The other way around start at the ends work you’re way down you get less breakage
Jamaican black castor oil from Shea Moisture IS soooo good. i wasn't a shampoo person before but it makes a huge diff in my routine
Let me find out 👀
Yes I can testify to this , there castor oil line is the best
Really enjoy seeing another 4c hair girl ❤️

Thank you 💗💗
try shea moisture black jamaican castor oil strenghten and restoring shampoo also try the deep conditioner
Detangling at each step could be doing you more harm than good. Especially if your conditioner doesn't have enough slip.
Yeah I’m definitely thinking I need to invest in conditioner with more slip !! 🤔
Omg thank you!!! You have the same hair I have and almost same length so glad I found ur video and nice to see people with the 4c hair I have
🤎
Aussie moist conditioner helps me as well and it’s like 3-5 dollars
Yes Aussie is amazing that 3 minute miracle is unmatched !!
Hey❤️Love Ur Videos. Have you ever tried sectioning your hair for wash day? It’s a life saver. I have 4B/4C and Less breakage/less struggles/easier detangling process.
😭 yes I promise imma start parting I just get lazy but I do need to watch out for breakage!!
I used to section, but I felt like I was using more product like that.
Yea I noticed she got more breakage than she needed to because of not sectioning
i think you should try washing your hair in sections
Also Aussie moist shampoo works for me as well and it’s cheap lol
Aussie is my favourite brand for haircare! I use their blonde line.
I have this exact same hair time and everything
💪🏾😘gang
omg i don’t part my hair to detangle either lol
Lmao twinssss
Thank you for this. Never pree pooed I’m trying it today
Hope it makes the process easier !!
Your hair is beautiful!❤

😏
Yuuuuuuuup ! This my hair !
Hey twin 👋🏾
@@MoreMaddie thank you mamas you helped my curls & coils tremendously like you literally snapped it back into shape
I Kno that pre-pooing was a mess. Looks like that conditioner was splashing all over the place the way u wa combing it
Lol yes it was so thick not enough slip to it !!
beautiful
Thank you🤎
We have the same hair texture and products.. can you get better 🥺
Aye twin vibes 💪🏾
Do you prepoo, wash your hair, shampoo then wash your hair again?
I pre poo then shampoo
Yes ! I’m not sure but I get paranoid that if I just shampoo while the pre poo is still in they’ll cancel each other out 😭
Use a big shirt to dry ur hair instead of a towel, because your hair will become thinner overtime. You can get the really big ones in the male section
I’ve heard of this will be trying !
Here 2yrs later cause i need some inspo for this hair😢😂
Beautiful hair 💜
Thanks love 🥰
My hair is your length but my shrinkage is insane
Subscribed to you because you have type 4c hair ❤❤. My sister from another mister who gave us 4c hair lol
Heyyyyyyy twin 🤞🏾😌

I'm pretty sure transitioned hair needs to be cut off. You need to grow your hair out first though before you big chop.
And a pre poo is what people do to make your hair softer and prepped before shampoo so hair doesn't get too stripped. It acts as a protective layer
Yeah from what I know it’s best to cut off dead ends and damaged ends for the best growth ...I know it’s hard when you can’t control your own hair 🥴 but I’ve also seen other girls go natural without doing a big chop even with relaxed ends I think the process is just a lot slower! My hair looks identical to this.

Adama Barry thank you!

Lmao it is what it is at this point 😭😅😂
Note this is 4c, beautiful
Yesss👏🏾
😭Your hair looks exactly like mine! 😭
🧡💛
For Shampoo, U should use Herbal Essences
Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Vo5 adjacent for me. Very drying unless you do a pre-poo 1x only.
What did she mix for prepoo
Coconut oil, honey, and knot today detangler. U can substitute the detangler for conditioner
um... just a correction, Sunday is the start of the week (no hate)
U wash every Sunday?!!!
Typically every other (based on the current style)

@@MoreMaddie Yes girl give it between 5- 15 minutes covered with a plastic cap then spread the good news.
The honey is a waste at this stage! (I know this is 2yrs old🤪)
