Girl trim your ends, look up pre-pooing here on TH-cam, prep and pre-detangled BEFORE getting in the shower. And excessive tangling usually means you need a good trim OR cut an inch or whatever is damaged (see through ends or fairy knots/single strand knots). Also ALWAYS deep condition and make sure your hair is moisturized. Your hair will start behaving better. Definitely try leaving the twists in as you wash also. 🙏🏽 good luck! This hair is no joke lol 😫

Sometimes it depends on the product you use, or the amount of water you add before/after the product and you should always twirl the ends of your hair to keep the twist secure. I hope this helps!

Thank you, I use sulfates too, but the mild ones. Because I'm a curly color-treated girl, but favorite brand of all time is Fanola. I find that the things I use made sure that my natural curls weren't altered in anyway. I can literally detangle my hair with my shampoo, that is how moisturizing it is. The conditioners and treatments are just added bonuses honestly. If we think about it, all the things that are so "bad" for our hair is the very things our mothers were using. I've had long hair all my life. I should have been bald considering the certain things that are now "banned" in the curly girl life style. So its honestly refreshing to find someone that isn't on the offense when it comes sulfates in shampoos. Now there is certain ingredients I stay far from, but its with good research and knowing what is actually harmful and isn't. I'm all for natural organic ingredients. I'm not here for all these companies coming out here with their overpriced products just because they have a label on their bottles telling us how organics it is. 🤷🏾♀️

Sonia I do a bentonite clay mask at least once a month and it really helps to prevent fairy knots & two strand knots😊. Hopefully this helps you
I think keeping your hair stretched will help alot. U also need to cut back on the wash n gos

Kaylzz Wash n gos aren’t the best for type 4 hair because of the knots they create. It’s especially not the best for 4B/4C Hair.
