Been wondering this for a bit since I did a similar thing for MapleStory for my own content: what is early/mid/(late?)/end game? Which lvl dungeons what lvl cb how many keys etc. To help support new players on what to work on and to give context when you mention any game stage.

Gear is the hardest thing to get to end game in MY experience. I would appreciate going over the basics of gear when you do these videos. Meaning, What stats can you get for main stats on top row, bottom row and accessories. What stats can you NOT get. I have been playing for 250+ days and never knew speed boots will never have speed substats. Newer players level champs, not farm gear. We jist don't know these things.
Hey bubba, I know talking about gear cleansing is dry, but it’s a vital part of any serious player’s responsibility. I’ve been playing for a year and a half and cleaning is definitely the part of the game I hate most. I keep WAY TO MUCH and every time I see a content creator push a video on this subject, it ALWAYS helps me to do another cleansing. Thank you for this and all of your videos! Always good stuff!

The detail that HH puts in these videos is what keeps me subscribed to his channel while I"ve pretty much unsubscribed from most others for Raid. I don't need commentary or to be told what I should be thinking about the state of the game. I'm in it, give me info to run my account better. I watch these videos to learn. ~Edit: I was one that watched it till the end.
Great video. Moving from working in the game (the endless hamster wheel) to working on the game (improving your outcomes) becomes key as mid to end game and I need to work much more on outcomes.
These are some of the most helpful videos for me, I really appreciate you going into such depth and encouraging the brutal mentality to clear out old gear and get my champs the gear they need. its a weak area of the game for me, please keep more of these coming!

This video is SOOO well needed man! I was literally stuck at 980 items for the longest time.. and I didn’t want to get rid of anything because a lot of it was decent. I guess the main thing is knowing your clearing space for even better items and rolls to come.
Always enjoy this type of content. It gives me the kick in the rear I need to get tougher on my gear. Always the issue of progressing the account and not updating our own strictness regarding gear. Only in the last month or less have I reached the point I can consistently clear all dungeons at 20 with a very high to perfect record. Now that I no longer am flooded with 4 star, I've had to let go of a so many rare 5 star that would have been good for my account just a month+ ago.

This is massively helpful and pretty validating tbh. This is how I already think about my gear but I’m definitely not being brutal enough. I can speed farm spider 20 so I’ve already committed to not keeping any 5 star accessories and being really brutal about my rolls but I haven’t done the same for my gear yet. I still keep a lot of 5* junk and very average stat combos in sets I will never use. I’ve very much leaned into the stats over sets mindset of hearing so I never even really factor in the set unless it’s things like speed on speed sets, acc on acc sets etc. I think I’m gonna take this info and do a big cleanse and see if I can start taking my gearing to those end game levels. I bet early game player's eyes are bleeding with this typical daily gear cleanse. Really give it a few months and you'll be going through your +16s and face palming at the questionable gear you raised
Well back when you raised it it wasn't nearly as questionable. It's similar to 6starring some epics you get early, and then later you only (if that) use them on FW. You can spend a lot of time regretting, but I think it is the normal progression through the game.
@@Scardor my first 6* was war priest 😖definitely regret that and wasting my resources on her. Now she just sits in the vault and use her for faction wars. Eventually she won’t even be viable for that.

These videos are huge for a newer player like myself. I’m only 69 days in so for these help big time for builds. Especially where I’m seeing a ton of difficulty progressing in the arena where pretty much the entire game revolves around. If you can’t build your great hall it makes the game so much more difficult. I’ve been stuck in silver 2 pretty much since I started the game and it just seems to get more and more difficult to progress there with the more champs I pull and the more gear I get. There are so many stacked teams even in silver 2.
Shocked to see some of the pieces that were binned off, but still very interesting to see gear from the super end-game perspective. I think once the gear slots fill up, the criteria of what to keep and what to sell has to change. It can be painful but essential.
Really helpful video - came around on the absolute right time too - just beat faction wars today (122 days in - that fast?) and had loads of shitgear stockpiled to equip alle the champs. so I set the goal of clearing factions before i ruthlessly throw away alle the low gear! next up is 1 key unm!
I am always working on my gear. Of course, I am a more casual player, but I still have gear I would not put on characters. so a refresher course was indeed needed.

I'm an end game player who learned absolutely nothing in this video, however I loved it and watched it to the end because it gave me some motivation to do the chore that is gear cleansing!
Deflection set is OP for the poison spider in doom tower. Deflecting the poisons and sensitivities back at him extends his own debuffs because of his own skills.
I stayed until the end. It’s good to develop a “sell” philosophy so one isn’t keeping artifacts that should be going to silver-hence more investments into keeper artifacts.
Just done a gear cleanse, hard to be brutal when so many sub stats are useful now. Heard on Plarium forum that gear storage is going to be increased soon.
I hope that's true. They need to also allow us to view stats and sell pieces directly from the inbox. That would ease a lot of the pressure on the storage needs.
Need more of that please HH, 30 minutes is a small price to pay to speed up my boring gear cleansing process, it honestly makes my head hurt so I very rarely do it lol
A clan mate showed me her stats on occult brawler.. huge hp, under 2k atk & def, good accuracy. I made a suggestion to swap the hp chest for def and her overall power sky rocketed. I wish more peeps would watch these vids...
I watched the entire video even though I consider myself an early to early midgame player. As one of the premier content creators for Raid, all of your content is valuable, if not now for myself, then later on. Keep at it!
Gear is one of the most important aspects of the game? I would argue it is THE MOST important aspect of the game! How many times have we seen videos of un commons doing as much or more damage as legendaries. I really appreciate the fact you took time to talk about it. One thing to mention for newer players is the importance of GH and GLYPHS. Imo those two things separates mid game from end game. It also takes a lot of time to grind, so even p2w have to grind it out, unlike shards.
I personally love cleansing my gear and building out champs. One of my favorite things to do. I'll get lost for over an hr dealing with gear. I've always loved min-maxing in games though.
This is great HH! Would you do a guide similar on jewellery? I've been going for rings that have a sub stat % version for the primary stat for example, and obviously crit damage amulets and accuracy banners - it'll probably be a quicker one!
It is extremely useful to visually watch you sell rolled pieces. I find it so difficult to sell pieces that i have invested in already if they don't roll total trash *cough flat stat cough*

Might be dry , but worth the time. I've been using your optimizer to help as well. You still have to think about what a specific piece might be for, but honestly, even if you just looked at the ratings the algorithm comes up with, you can clear out 90% of the stuff you won't ever use if you're not attached to the gear. And honestly, getting god like gear is really just a time thing. If you need a specific type of piece, farm for it. You'll get what you want eventually.

So while it's slow to do, I'm going through every gear set and if it's not legendary or projected to be so once it's rolled up to lvl 8, it's gone. Clearing out a butt load of crap. It's kind of shocking how much stuff I've rolled to 8, and don't use and will never use. Just taking up space.

i have 986 good pic and 350 in the Q. its the hardest part because you know there good in some ways. they almost all have speed and a stat in there equipment type. my problem is giving up really good gear in a off set. it adds up because i dont use that gear.

I was thinking the same. Also for where I am, a solid piece with great rolls will work nicely as a broken set. Many of my best geared champions use broken sets.
Maybe not most drama-filled video, but so important. I guarantee there are players out there with maxed inventories AND maxed mailboxes who are worried they will discard the wrong piece. So, they error on the side of keeping it. Problem with that is it makes the game so much more tedious and taxing being all locked up with gear and way more difficult to find truly good pieces. I know because I've been there myself. For example, It's kinda hard to know exactly when to stop keeping certain star level pieces. Early game, a 4-star with good stats is a keeper, but at some point all 4-stars have to go. So, videos like this where you literally go piece-by-piece and explain your thinking are so beneficial! Plus, I just think it's cool you do this when your website sells this service, so you are potentially turning away customers. Just shows you really do care about the community and the game. Thanks, man!
i don't entirely agree with the way you manage rings, to me, the main stat being flat, it's a good way to improve weak stats on someone, for example, if i want to use an HP champ for CB, ring will be my way to get to a reasonnable defense, so i'll look for a def ring with HP% substat
I agree Yvan. I force my rings' flat stat into a weak area, and then go for the % on my STRONG areas. Example... ANY dungeon nuker I want the health to be higher than my Tanks, so I'd go flat rate health, and then Attack % on the Substats. Comon Coldheart, you need all the help you can get.
In previous videos he has discussed that flat def rings are the most kept rings because everyone needs defense. Then for that exact reason subs are what you are looking for. I think flat hp is less used than def because hp% scales well on most atk champs, whereas def% usually scales at a much lower rate and flat def will give you more on a main stat for an atk% champ.
@@labrymal I agree in most situations. However, in order to get to 33k health on Coldheart from her base 13,710 is quite hard. I've seen videos where they recommend 36k health... that's almost TRIPLE. I don't want her to get single targeted down. I was just making one example.

You also need to take into account the champions you have. My Mountain King is in Shield Set, so I'm glad I kept some pieces with CR/CD.
i wish the filter would allow you to exclude gear with the stats you want to keep...

5 star accessories triple roll can be up to 20% (I believe). Those are worth keeping for most accounts (not HH’s).

Just think about what kind of champion would wear that gear set and then what subsets should that champion have

Side question, why prefer frost set over daze? Daze has 5% more chance to land and you can hit the enemy harder than if it’s frozen.
you can wake up dazed folks with aoes or any damage so the CC is weak imo

If you quad roll crit damage on a 6* amulet, would the main stat boost be worth it? 265 attack with 30% crit damage?

I am using Archmage Helmut in shield set to pair him with Seer. And shield set should have offencive stats for me there.

Acc shield set chest with both crit stats is solid for seer. Probably until you move over to DT.

U can use shield gear on a mountain king in the arena in my opinion and at the same time deal same damage
I was thinking the same. Also for where I am, a solid piece with great rolls will work nicely as a broken set. Many of my best geared champions use broken sets.
Maybe not most drama-filled video, but so important. I guarantee there are players out there with maxed inventories AND maxed mailboxes who are worried they will discard the wrong piece. So, they error on the side of keeping it. Problem with that is it makes the game so much more tedious and taxing being all locked up with gear and way more difficult to find truly good pieces. I know because I've been there myself. For example, It's kinda hard to know exactly when to stop keeping certain star level pieces. Early game, a 4-star with good stats is a keeper, but at some point all 4-stars have to go. So, videos like this where you literally go piece-by-piece and explain your thinking are so beneficial! Plus, I just think it's cool you do this when your website sells this service, so you are potentially turning away customers. Just shows you really do care about the community and the game. i don't entirely agree with the way you manage rings, to me, the main stat being flat, it's a good way to improve weak stats on someone, for example, if i want to use an HP champ for CB, ring will be my way to get to a reasonnable defense, so i'll look for a def ring with HP% substat
Yup. A def ring with triple or quad roll hp% is still godlike.

I agree Yvan. I force my rings' flat stat into a weak area, and then go for the % on my STRONG areas. Example... ANY dungeon nuker I want the health to be higher than my Tanks, so I'd go flat rate health, and then Attack % on the Substats. Comon Coldheart, you need all the help you can get.
In previous videos he has discussed that flat def rings are the most kept rings because everyone needs defense. Then for that exact reason subs are what you are looking for. I think flat hp is less used than def because hp% scales well on most atk champs, whereas def% usually scales at a much lower rate and flat def will give you more on a main stat for an atk% champ.
@@labrymal I agree in most situations. However, in order to get to 33k health on Coldheart from her base 13,710 is quite hard. I've seen videos where they recommend 36k health... that's almost TRIPLE. I don't want her to get single targeted down. I was just making one example.
