I totally agree. It's one thing to read a guide and see what you should want in gear, but I love how much more of a real insight videos like this give. Hearing him talk through what he's looking for and why he wants those stats is fantastic
One little trick I do is slightly upgrade my items that I decide to keep (+1 to +3), so I don't have to keep looking at them as new gear shows up. A +3 item is something I'm likely to take to 16, +2 means a likely level 12, and +1 means I level to 8 and then decide if it's purged. Makes those Artifact Enchancment events very quick!
@@speachless88 Yes, anything that gets tagged with this system goes to at least a +8. It's just so I can organize my inventory as gear comes in (instead of doing it at the same time as the Artifact Enchancement). Once they're tagged, I know to hold onto them for a while.
Yes, boring video, but this was very helpful. I went along set after set pretty much. I had full inventory because I´ve got a hard time getting rid of artifacts. Always think: "maybe this could be good for someone" - Now I know that I can thrash a lot more. 👍

For the first time, I'm only now watching one of these videos whilst doing my own cleanse. I have been at edging on 1300 artifacts for a while, and needed this about 2 weeks ago. Very helpful
I get that this type of video is probably boring to make, but it’s definitely the sort of guidance I need the most of. It’s really hard to do all these dungeon events when I’ve rarely got room for more than 10 new pieces of gear! And sorting artifacts and accessories takes me hours, so I always put it off. I’ve watched a bunch of these gear cleanse videos now (yours and others), and this one feels like the clearest one yet. The only big question I have left is this: when do I want resistance? Just in arena and on healers/revivers? It seems like whenever I’m gearing, I almost never want resistance, yet I’m sure I’ll be sorry if I delete all the resistance from my account. Honestly, I just wish they’d give us a lot more space, especially given how many sets are in the game now.

I also find this very informative and helpful. According to how you just talked about the sets and how to use them I have changes to make. Mainly to my Damage dealers. I guess I'm forfeiting damage or Attack stats but I tend to make them Fast as I can and self protected. Att chest , crit 🧤 , speed 🥾. With trying to get HP & Def% with substats to keep them alive. If that's not the best please send any/all advice. I feel I'm an early mid game player. Great content btw I watch you quite often to get tips & tricks.. thanks.
I believe the real gear cleanse will be when you start judging the kinds of rolls that you can receive. Like the min roll for crit rate would be 4 percent on a 5 star piece vs a 6 percent. So if it low rolls from the beginning its not as good to keep

I've been pretty stupid with my gear cleansing in the past. like just discarding entire sets because i didn't think I'd use them. for example the retaliation set I'd just sell off everything without even looking at the stats. thanks for teaching me about stats over sets and how to evaluate good pieces 👍
I don’t find this boring at all. Gear cleansing is overwhelming for me so it’s nice to be able to break down gear by sets and be able to go through them properly. A video like this should have tags for when you move to different sets to make it easier.
this is a great video. I have been looking for a great artifact breakdown video. This helped me get rid of a lot of gear. These videos are actually super helpful for me as I struggle to figure out when to start tossing the "maybe" pieces. Full inventory after back to back events is a constant thing nowadays. How much more brutal are you on your main account? When does 5 star not make the cut anymore?
Basically, you don't keep 5 star rares and below at late game (unless exceptional) and don't keep less than 6 star epic for the "mundane" gear (life gear etc). You also look for epics 5 star who at least double roll into an importent stat like speed or C.rate. anything triple roll is a great item, and quad rolls are godly.
Helped me tremendously with my gear, I had so many pieces I probably shouldn't have kept, I kept maxing out on pieces of gear but I've become way more picky with what I keep since I was capped anyway.
Question about double and triple substat rolls. Keep for chaos ore casino high rolls, or vendor? Example, a perception shield that rolled x3 flat attack. What if instead of flat attack it was x3 hp%?
I was kinda waiting for a video like this, pretty much every other i've seen is for endgame and like "If it doesn't have tripple rolls it's gone" and when i take that as standard... all my champs are naked. This was much better in terms of what i should keeping in my stage of the game. :)
Also I usually use your website or ayumi to help give suggestions on commanders gear sets, but never learn that “life” is one of the least used sets in the game. So unless you put out these videos, I’d have no clue on what I should be selling.😊

The substats on artifacts are withing the range of the rank ± 1, except acc or res fall within the rank × 2 ±2 Accessories _can_ be different, I think banners don't have the upper high roll
Would love to be able to use the gearing tool on your site to be able to sort bad gear from good. I know they say godlike, very strong etc. Would be cool to sort them that way.

I wouldn’t say swift parry is dead. It is hard countered by block buffs, but it is great for go second teams as there aren’t many meta block buff champs and it can’t be removed by a go first team that blows its cooldowns before the unkillable pops up. Stoneskin is soft countered by strippers since there is still a 50/50 shot to remove them, while it is hard countered by bomb champs. There are quite a few meta bombers now (shazar and gaius in kimi teams and astralith).
Chaos happens with these videos. On some site they explain that any equipment in the main stat without % is sold regardless of the substats, and here I see a video explaining that an artifact without a percentage % is a good artifact. So this is endless madness, it turns out that whoever has figured out the game, teaches the other weaker than him. This game is crazy, I have never seen a game until now, where nothing is explained about the parts of the game that a champion uses, how they are used, what is important, what is the point of that artifact, but here it is learned from some managers, who throw abnormally money at the game, and they try to teach us, and no one correctly, that is, no manager explains the essence of the artifacts, not to repeat myself, one explains that equipment without a percentage % is not worth strengthening and keeping, and another who reached level 100 mushes up another explanation for the artifacts. And so we, who are not so experienced in the game, sell each other equipment/artifacts worth our level, only and only as if we have learned something, and more precisely we have not learned anything, because we hear some who throw real money at the game, and we who play free, we sell equipment we can't get back. Chaos.
My problem is, I don't actually have anything to bin. Drop rates for 5 and 6 star pieces is crazy low, so after 1000 energy on energy I might have 5-6 pieces
Coming back to this artifact video again and again, because for a veteran RPG player, it's not that easy to really grasp the full extent of the artifact system. I'm not doing that badly but my artifacts need to get sorted or I will drown in them.
Question...could Vogoth be made into a tank and put into Frost gear? And one other, does collecting my free legendary from daily login rewards go towards Summon rush?

Def and hp are tertiary thoughts for attack based champions. You want them high speed to deal their damage and then* crank crit or atk into them based on how you are using them. If a piece happens to have def/hp% cool. You aren't looking for it though
4 piece sets are harder to coordinate. So weap/helm/shield is good. Easier to find good 2piece sets for the gloves/chest/boots. Remember this when using your charms.

Absolutely agree, this is one of the hardest parts of the game. Forget Hydra if you cant sift through and know what to keep and what to bin

They should add some type of flame body set that makes you either do burn damage when attacking or when they attack you like drex's passive

A great thing about rolling the pieces, also, is that it helps the Optimise search for good gear, as it won't be as limited on possible slots

I just did a massive gear cleanse and damn, I sold nearly 5 mill silver of crap gear. It was cathartic.
iv got a real issue with this, im on the cap and iv binned everything i think i should, all 4star gone, all flat stat gloves chest and boots gone

Can't really help you with Vogoth, but picking heroes goes to champion chase, summon rush only works with shards

The best set for Urogrim solo build is Frenzy, and I think Frenzy is under-rated and underused.

leo or skullcrown are solid in fury for arena... other than that i can't think of any other champion i would put it on
in mid game lifesteal, can you NOT use resist to tank the stun?
The CB stun, if that is what you're talking about, is unresistable.
