Got the deal of the century on some Powell Dragon formula 93a wheels, I usually skate 53s or 54mm if no 53s but have some 55s 90a on an old school deck. Dragons are 56mm and I ❤️ Em!
They’re good. Can’t say they’re just as good as an F4 but they aren’t far off. It also feels liberating to be off the spitfire hype haha. The butt cheek was only sore for a day lol
@@averageskater900 slammed both my bum cheeks now sore AF ha ha 😂 I'm defo gonna give them a whirl 👍😎 want to try the 48mm lil boogers (I think that's what they're called 🤪) just for the fun of it he he 🤪
the wheels are pretty much all made out of the same stuff overall. may be a little mix of very small different stuff but yeah. most decks are made with canadian maple wood as well. its an illusion of variety just like going to the supermarket, watching the news etc.
@@scizophrenic2602 yeah more or less. I can definitely tell the difference between with formula 4’s and other wheels. These snot wheels feel like most wheels in the price point. On the other extreme you can definitely tell when a wheel is really cheap as they flatspot after on power-slide and fell like you could pick them apart with your nails
@@averageskater900 Currently riding them now and I can say they're great. They do start out as feeling like plastic, but after a session or two they feel like normal urethane. I got the 99a version, which they are still able to slide, but grip when you need them to. As advertised the 99a's are able to handle rougher ground compared to the STF formula due to the fact that they are softer than the STF's. They do come in a 97a version and currently only have three out of their 6 shapes in the x formula lineup, but I heard they are planning on adding more in the future. when it comes to price, at least here in the U.S, the price is relatively the same, however bones are a few bucks cheaper
Spitfires are two to three times more expensin in europe than they are in us. Salaries in where I live are 2 to three times lower than u.s. Spitfire does not make sense for a long time already. Instead I use deluxe wheels (yes that’s the name of the brand), minilogos and even bones. Also looking for wayward and oj.
I just looked up how much 60 pounds is in US dollars (I'm from the USA) and wow... I would not buy Spitfires for that price either. Actually, I don't think any wheels are worth that much. I'm glad Snot Wheels are priced affordably where you're at. They're about $30 (23 pounds) where I live. Of course they have to import them into your country, so the price difference makes sense.
We have tax already included in our prices so I’m not sure if that evens it out a bit? but still not worth it to me. I believe snot wheels are also US made but they’re an English company so we still get import charges. Just they way it is haha
Yeah, I’ve recently moved to London from Atlanta, and everything here is just insane expensive. I left my deck in the US and wanted to get the same grip tape I had-I found it online and it cost $14 plus $40 shipping.
@@thekaratekidpartii2169 Yeah man cost of living is crazy in london let alone funding personal hobbies. Best thing to do is support the UK brands to get better prices (death, cafe, heroine, ect)
Either Spitfires are too expensive or the mark up is too much. Certainly something is whack right now. It’s almost like it’s a luxury good right now. The Bones X-Formula wheels are a slightly cheaper alternative and from my experience riding the X97s are very good wheels.
Oh it’s definitely a crazy mark up. Even their classic formula is still more expensive than most. I’d say 80% of people skate them if not more so they know they can charge a premium. I remember during covid they were like gold dust.
@@averageskater900 yeah why not try and find something else that rides good? I did get the Spitfire 93s but for 55 pounds over here in Sweden. But it’s like you say the price generally is all the way up to 75 pounds and that’s just cray cray. In my experience the 93A Dragons were comfy as hell but a little too grippy and bouncy. The X97s are very nice but the Spitfire 93s are just a perfect all round wheel to me. Especially after the first few sessions where you’ve gotten them broken in. They are very comfy but still feel like a harder wheel and slide well enough. The X97s are just a tad too hard for my ole time feet though they are definitely not anywhere near as hard as say a 99A Spitfire.

That’s great! I’ve ridden some dragons on a friend’s setup and liked them. Not the wheel I would personally ride everyday
Snot Wheels are made very well. They are manufactured by AEND Industries in Hutto, Texas.
I’m very impressed so far. I can tell they’re not just generics with a brand name on the side like a lot of companies.
Ive been considering snot wheels for a while 😊 👍 loved the intro btw, the slam on the right bum cheek looks a lil sore! 😮😅

Snot wheels are the best. Great price point too
I'm really enjoying them. will have to try some 101a's to really get a feel for the brand overall
Having recently seen a demo where everyone was riding Bones Wheels and none of them “rode for” Bones… said a lot to me. Won’t say who. Not a snitch.
Were they riding the new x formula? Because Ive heard really good things about them. Not really ever enjoyed the stf.
@@averageskater900 I believe they were.

I’ve tried bones and wayward. Wayward seems okay. I’m not really a fan of the bones stf tbh. Not sure why just feel to different to me I suppose

You should try Decathlon skateboarding wheels ! they are made by Ricta and are quite cheap
Maybe I’ll check them out next time
made by ricta ? where did you saw that ? but i can agree their 101a are really good, but i would restrict their use to fairly nice pavement.
great video bro love it.

Was going to try the x formula as Ive had spitfire fans tell me they’re better than f4’s. I decided to try and find a hidden gem

Nice vid
Thanks! 🤜
best cheap wheels are mini logo
Deluxe is great... but they are not making a great decision by increasing their prices. Insane.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i've never owned a set of spitfires, f4 or otherwise
