She was working on a musical about her life around the time of this performance. She even sang some of the songs that were supposed to be in the musical during this performance. Unfortunately it never went anywhere. A lot of that had to do with the 9/11 attacks. She was there when it happened because she was working on the musical. That’s why she said she contracted lung cancer from the attacks. There was a Donna Summer Musical that came to Broadway back in 2018 that was kind of structured like the Cher musical with 3 performers playing the icons at different stages of their lives. LaChanze played Diva Donna, Ariana DeBose played Disco Donna, and Storm Lever played Duckling Donna.

Obviously you didn’t know that people still lip synced back then. And just because it doesn’t sound like the stuff you listen to, doesn’t mean that you need to trash it. There are still good artists, harder to find, but still here.
How lucky everyone at that concert was to enjoy Donna Summer's beautiful voice and personality.
When she was "on the radio" riding the disco wave, we took notice. But all these years later, she was one hell of a performer, with a voice that can bring you to tears!

Incredible Lady and an amazing voice. The opening verse of the song illustrates how clear and powerful her voice was. Sadly donna has passed for a few years now but she will always be remembered for her voice, personality and beauty. We have been lucky to have witnessed this.

The album contained 16 tracks, including 2 new songs, "On The Radio" and the recent single, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)," which was a smash hit No. 1 duet with Barbra Streisand. The album covered many hit songs from Donna's previous studio albums including abbreviated versions of hits including, "Try Me I Know We Can Make It," and "I Remember Yesterday" to Top Ten classics such as "Love To Love You Baby," "I Feel Love" and "Last Dance." It also included all four No. 1's, "MacArthur Park," "Hot Stuff," "Bad Girls" and the aforementioned, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)." "Tears" had just recently wrapped a two-week run at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart as well as a four-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Disco Top 100. The smash No. 1 single was written by Paul Jabara and Bruce Roberts and was issued as a 7" single on Columbia (Streisand's label) with a running time of 4:46 and the extended remix, issued on Casablanca (Summer's label) enjoyed 4 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Disco 100 with a running time of 11:45.
