Just like painting up here on the North East Coast of Aberdeenshire 😂 I got myself a very lightweight backpacking tarpaulin, combined with a few lengths of paracord & my hiking poles I can construct a makeshift shelter enough to escape the rain 😂
Poor Basil, you can almost hear him: It's over Dad. Let's get home. But it looked quite good...at one time. Today you've experienced the real meaning of liquid charoal😉🌧 happy Easter to you and your loved Ones and of course to Basil.
Not sure what to say about this except you’re mad! You still turned out a masterpiece and it was fascinating to see your use of materials. Many thanks. I watched it whilst warm in bed!
I really enjoy these videos with your adorable daughter and Basil! Good fun! And, thanks for taking us for a ride in that fabulous Land Rover !! Sooo jealous !!
i laughed out loud when you just said "poor ol Basil is getting soaked" I think your daughter could have bludgened you with your graphite stick about 3/4 of the way through..Poor ol Basil lol lol....thank you for another great vid..and well done to your daughter......
Great work, I love the results. Well done to you all for persevering despite the challenges. Basil is a great dog, hope he got his wages for all his hard work.
very inspiring - love the interaction of the rain. walk along the cliff path between Mullion and kynance for about 15mins and you'll get to my fav secret beach - don't tell anyone though.
@@AndrewBarrowmanArt you drop down into a little gorge with a stream - follow the stream through the rocks - beach not visible from the path - I seem to remember there's a rock arch there too.
Actually the result is pretty good considering the conditions ... Looks abit abstract but you've captured the movement of the waves against the rocks well ... Sometimes just going through the process is well worth the effort ...
Such a dramatic sketch reflecting the dramatic weather! I love it! What paper did you use? Surprised it lasted as well as it did, given the conditions! Hardcore plein-air! 😁
Lol hilarious but we persist regardless hey!? 🙌 I’m editing my last plein air day after I had to improvise because I left something important back in the studio. I feel your demise Andrew. Sometimes it can well and sometimes it can wet 😂 You’re a good sport. You ended up with some interesting mark making and the scene in your mind. Did you work on it more back home?
You’re both very keen!😂 Did the texture survive the rain? Once I noticed your scarf all I could think was that I have several balls of what looks to be that yarn at home😂
Charcoal and graphite my favourite media. Watching from Australia 🙏 thank you
Love your sketches and love how you don’t let the weather stop you from having fun!
Thank you so much John 😊

Very cool idea Ashley. Maybe a bit windy on the cliffs here? The rain is the biggest obstacle for working outdoors isn't it? All the best
Not only enjoy your art but the locations are spectacular
Thank you very much Leslie

@@robinaart72 I know it well - Ogo Dour Cove (waterfall Cove) the stream drops into the cove. Great spot for painting

Hi Nancy and thank you. It was definitely all about the process rather than the finished result this time. A great location for working
So much fabulous fun watching your method, Basal, daughter and stunning cliffs! Happy Easter!
Thanks so much Deborah - Happy Easter to you
Great stuff. Cheers.
Many thanks 😀
Best wishes for Easter !
Thank you Vincenzo - Happy Easter to you

Hardcore plein-air! 😁
Thank you Joanna
I used a Fabriano graduate paper. Something heavier would have worked better in the rain
Wow what a spot
Beautiful isn't it
@@AndrewBarrowmanArt incredible
Well done, sir.
Thanks Bob
Tenacious is a word that definitely applies to you Andrew, the final result was great, your daughter deserves a medal and Basil a large meaty bone 😀
Thank you so much Anita. Basil is a star ⭐️

Thanks for watching Kayleen. I didn't work on it anymore as it was too far gone (virtually disappeared!) when I got back.

Thanks Cindy. The drawing was quite destroyed by the time we got home but my scarf is good 😃
Poor Basil... :)
He loved it really lol
😂❤❤❤
Have to say…Basil is the star…
I have to agree 😀
