    hello, I just want to know the basic materials needed, I already spoke with someone and they said that I need the backing (stabilizer?) and some type of water soluble topping? idk what that is.
    itll be great to hear back from you :)

      Oops, I’m so sorry I missed your question! For knit fabric you need a backing (stabilizer) that adheres to the knit to keep it from stretching… or you can use 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray with a non adhesive stabilizer … my personal favorite is OESD Aqua Mesh because it’s very stabile. Then I use Sulky Solvy wash away topper to support the stitches on the surface of the fabric.

    Good tip Jennifer on removing the stabilizer by stretching your fabric! I always come away learning something new from you. Do a class on speciality toppings such as Mylar or heat adhesive vinyl! Lol I have this in my stash but no idea how to use it on an embroidery design. Thanks again for sharing with us.....

    How does it know what to stitch? Is it a special program? Is it one of those expensive embroidery machines?

    • @JSternDesigns
      @JSternDesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      B Diaz that’s a great question! Yes, it is an embroidery machine with a programmed design. The good news is that if you want to try this, look for embroidery only machines by Janome, Brother or Baby Lock... they don’t cost thousands of dollars and they work pretty great !
