- This is the Merry Go Round at Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington, UT. It was built by the Herschell-Spillman Company in 1906 and is a classic wood carousel. This carousel has 23 jumping horses, 2 standing horses, a menagerie of 19 other animals with 1 Llama, 1 Cat, 1 Deer, 1 dog, 1 Dragon, 2 Frogs, 2 Giraffes, 1 Goat, 1 Lion, 2 Mules, 1 Pig, 1 Stork, 1 Tiger, 2 Zebras, 2 Roosters, 1 Swan, and 1 Bear. There are also two chariots (a Uncle Sam chariot and a rocking chariot) and a spinning tub. The information came from the National Carousel Association.

Thank you and same back to you! I hope you got to ride one today. 😎
Amusement parks certainly are fire prone.
Terrakinetic they were back then but not now so much. Not with the fire suppression systems the parks are required to have these days.
@@woodencoasterfan Yeah, the local amusement park near me burned down before I was born as well.
In November 1953, a fire damaged much of the park, including the fun house, dance pavilion, and the front portion of the roller coaster. It was quickly rebuilt to open for the next season and began to surpass the popularity of its main rival, Saltair. Many rides were restored, rebuilt, or replaced, and a few new rides were added.
The teacups are scary. I'm sticking to the Carousel 👍🏻
i been to merry go around before
Where is this amusement park
Andrea Plascencia it is at Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington, Utah. It is north of Salt Lake City.
What kind of organ is it
its a fake band organ. The music comes from the seabreeze park band organ
@@aromncoronado2005 The organ case and drums were real and played at one time. It is a "Freedola" band organ built in the 1970s (1980s?) by Mr. Richard Freed of Utah. He has built at least three band organs so far. I believe it played Wurlitzer 165 rolls but and not positive of that. I don't know the pipe spec. However, several decades ago the organ either quit, or they didn't want to maintain it, so they removed the organ case and chassis from the carousel, and kept the facade and drum wings, and just play recordings. I've always wanted to hear this band organ play and hope they'll either restore it or sell it to someone who will restore and play it (front and all).
