headlights pointing the way... if it's long travelled road and many travellers stopped by. it is good to see the way pointing straight as can be and firmly positioned. Thanks am enjoying the showings... oh good content on the outdoor stuff too !!
I'm installing the Stowaway2 Max by myself tomorrow on my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, so I'm kinda nervous. As a single female, your video has given me the pep talk I needed. Thanks!
sorry, I did not mean to come down on you, but in general, anytime you have a plastic container, always put the rubber and metal washers inside the container, or the bolts will tear through the plastic box. If you look closely at the directions, they are hard to read, but you can see dotted arrows, where the bold and washers are inside the cargo box and the last washer and nut are outside, which makes logical sense. Be careful, as this is a minor mistake leading to big and ruined stowaway box. M
Rick, we love it. Just finished another trip from Florida back to home in NH. It has been a life saver for us for lawn chairs, hoses, electric cords, tools, etc. We have no tie with StowAway, but we would highly recommend. Thanks so much for watching our channel! you'll be in trouble there. the metal and rubber washer should sandwich the cargo box and the frame below to make a secure holding to the frame. having just the screw head holding the cargo box will strain the plastic sooner a later will give and the cargo box will come off the frame. The oval metal washer re-enforces the plastic surface of the cargo box and the rubber serves as a sealant from water penetration from the mounting holes to the metal frame.
She did a great job 👍🏾😁. I had a stowaway I installed myself on my Hyundai Santa Fe. I loved that box until it got damaged 😥. I'm thinking of getting a new one for my Ram Promaster 1500 🤔 But the door opening worries me. Has it been an issue for you guys?
Thanks for the review but you answered the most important question I have. 'Can I open the rear doors fully?' Main reason to invest on swing away arm. So I see it's a big no. Which leaves me to consider the Yakima Exo system.
With the Stowaway2 we can open one door fully and have our screen down. But you do lose the both door option. Overall, the one door has been pretty good. Check out our shannadoah video. Great pics of both doors open.
I have a 2020 Beyond and was looking at the StowAway2, so this video helped a lot. Question: does the box get in the way of the Transit's rear facing sensor system and/or back up camera?
Hi Keith, Thanks for watching How To Have Fun Outdoors! The transit has a great Trailer software on the dash that lets you add trailer with the length and adjusts the settings. I think we show it at the end of the video or you can google it. Works great and no issues.
That would be awesome. But even with one open it is pretty cool. We watched the fireworks in Branson with one opened and it still worked well. We had both open on our Shenandoah video!! Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks for the great video! Thinking of the Stowaway2 for our Beyond too. Just a question--when you reach a campsite, have you ever taken it off and leave it at the campsite while driving around? I was thinking you could lock it to something if needed. Thanks again
Not yet! If it is empty it would not be difficult. But we put so much in ours it is always full so we don't take it off. Thanks for watching How To Have Fun Outdoors!
Great video! I really loved your presentation. I too am ordering one of these today. Thanks for your inspiration. Loved your pups.

Is this the 16 cubit foot carrier? How has it worked out so far? Still recommend it?

@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors I like your channel. Just subscribed. Thanks.
@@HowToHaveFunOutdoors one more question please. Does the cargo carrier affect or block your back bumper sensors?
Get a hitch extender and voilà, both doors open
Excellent Idea! Thanks so much!

Good video. Makes me wonder if someone makes one that will allow both Transit doors to open
