My biggest problem is simply him saying “exactly like prisoners”. No. It’s not. Prisons are awful and desperately need reform. It feels really irresponsible to make a video like this. When I first watched the video, I was really hoping they put a disclaimer how this video isn’t 100% accurate. It was disappointing to finish the video without that disclaimer.
This might come as something mean and crazy But for the properly guilty, prison is not severe enough ... Why should a murderer get to have comfort when they hurt someone so badly
@@synctrox9679 The murderer is still a human being. Not every murderer is a blood thirsty serial killer. They can potentially be rehabilitated. Prisons should serve as punishment, sure, but they should be rehabilitation above all else. Look at Norway prisons. Some of the nicest in the world with almost the lowest revisitation rates. Ultimately, the problem is our criminal justice system as a whole - not just the quality (or lack thereof) of our prisons.
@@TheOperatorKB your absolutely correct. No one ever said it should be a resort. And certain convicts, like pedos & rapists, deserve nothing but pure unbridled hell, torture and retribution. But prison is SUPPOSED to be rehabilitation more than punishment. Obviously some punishment is warranted, but without rehabilitation you doom the convicted to get stuck into the cycle of prison, release, commit more crime, prison. Treating everyone like animals can (and statistically does) create MORE criminals upon release, as opposed to people who are equipped to not repeat their mistakes
@@TheOperatorKB I want the prison system to be more focused on rehab. Maybe for violent offenders that outright refuse to be a safe member of the world, we would have no other recourse, but I do not like the idea of revenge. Many people in prison are doing time for things that are not violent, but they come out worse than they went in. I don't have all the answers, I wish I did, but I have to offer that we should be trying harder to change people's minds who have offended, and not further damage minds that are already damaged to begin with. The goal of prison should be to fix broken minds, so that they don't want to be "bad" anymore, not to seek vengeance and inflict pain on people. I hear, "but they deserve it". To that, I say, "than what makes the punisher so much better than the person being punished?" Both people are hurting other people. I see how getting banged up during an arrest is necessary in many cases, but my bottom line is, once a person is no longer a threat to society, what is the point in treating them with disdain and hatred? There is a huge difference between keeping society safe and taking our own pain out on those who are already no longer a threat to that society.
@@Inertia888 I have no idea how to make the system better as a whole, but I fully agree it's skewed too far to punishment and makes inmates into worse people who are more inclined to commit worse crimes too often. I recently found out about a guy I went to school with. Definitely a troubled kid, often getting into trouble and was aimless in life. He went to jail for a few years for getting caught dealing drugs a couple of times. When he was released he'd become paranoid, very quick to violence and seemed to have developed some sort of bipolar. He could spend a week shutting people out and getting rough with those trying to help, then out of nowhere he would have a drink and drug fueled bender, getting into fights and being a nuisance, usually ending up in a police cell for a day or two to sober up. In less than a year after being released, he ended up dead in the back of a stolen van, beaten to a pulp with a lot of varying drugs in his system. While that's not to say he wouldn't have ended up like that without those years in prison, the scared and wide eyed idiot that went to prison came out of there a nasty piece of work and died young, very early 20's.

I did 20 years in the Ga. state prison system and while they shot this in a prison or jail and do make some true points about life in prison this is in no way a true representation of what being in prison is like.
They should redo their stay in prison but have Lawton run it and show them what it's REALLY like! 😂
Honestly this, except all of them are given the goal beforehand of stealing as much pasta as possible and hiding it in the cell in such a way Larry can't find it.
I don't think that would be a good idea. Recreation of pain and torture for a mrbeast video isn't a smart idea
Without having the feeling of ever-present danger and vulnerability this experience is not even the same.

This might come as something mean and crazy
But for the properly guilty, prison is not severe enough ... Why should a murderer get to have comfort when they hurt someone so badly
@@synctrox9679 Most people in prison are not vicious murderers lol
@@synctrox9679 The murderer is still a human being. Not every murderer is a blood thirsty serial killer. They can potentially be rehabilitated. Prisons should serve as punishment, sure, but they should be rehabilitation above all else. Look at Norway prisons. Some of the nicest in the world with almost the lowest revisitation rates.
Ultimately, the problem is our criminal justice system as a whole - not just the quality (or lack thereof) of our prisons.
His viewerbase is little kids dude you think they're gonna actually show how prison is?
Jesus calm down, his whole demographic is kids and teens, he makes videos for entertainment, not information.

"The whole point of prison is to treat you like an animal."
Ya know, when you treat humans like animals, they will act like it.
I believe that 100% +
They’ve already done their bad act and now they must pay. Prison isn’t there to hold your hand
"Non of these guys would survive prison".....they'd have a melt down just looking at the Bullpen!!!!😎👍🇨🇦
