Hey Stuart 👋 lovely to have you here, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video! There’s LOADS of other video game collection videos for you to enjoy. ☺️ Hope to see you around soon! Obsidian x
I agree with you in terms of HFW. Even though Guerilla really stepped up their game (literally and figuratively) with the sequel in terms of improved weapon mechanics, improved skill tree, new enemies, better graphics, more variety in side quests, better animation, a bigger world, and a unique story, I still somehow think the first one (HZD) was better in some regards.
Hey Nicholas! 👋 thanks so much for commenting, especially about one of my favourite franchises! ZD is definitely my favourite, just because of the unravelling mystery that we got to experience as Aloy. Whilst the scale of FW is immense and the world seems to vivid; I think it struggles to build on ZD. Hope to see you again in the comments! Obsidian x
Watch Dogs: Legion is ok I’d say. I personally adore Watch Dogs 1 and to a lesser extent Watch Dogs 2. Ubisoft did some shady stuff with the first game’s E3 trailer graphics not being as good as what the game actually ended up being. But when you look past that it’s a really great simple and to the point open world game. 2 is the best in terms of variety of gameplay. They basically built on everything from Watch Dogs 1 but went for a much more lighthearted humorous approach then the first game. That’s where it kinda lost me. But they’re both still great games. I’d honestly play those before Legion not for story reasons as they’re all pretty separate stories, simply because they’re better games. Legion has this permadeath feature which means that your characters can die, and you’ll pick up with another hacker from your roster. I thought this was pretty lame all around. It’s cool to see something different. It definitely added stakes to dying, more than any other game, and you feel bad when a character you’ve had for a while dies. You can turn it off but your characters will still get arrested/hospitalized for fairy long real timers. But in the end you just feel really detached from the story which isn’t crazy interesting to begin with, so being detached hurts quite a bit and all the characters are pretty generic. They do have different skills but again I’d say whatever pros there are, are outweighed by the detachment from the story. It’s a fun game, I just wish it’d had been more like the first 2 games.
Wow this is a really in depth view on Watch Dogs! Would you say Legion wouldn’t hit the same without playing 1 and 2? I’d heard the first one wasn’t great but the second was a bit of a masterpiece. Let me know Sondo! Obsidian x
@@ObsidianASMR2022 I think you could probably play them in any order. They’re all different characters apart from a couple cameos and a pretty self contained DLC that has Aiden and Wrench from the other games in it. Though I’d say playing them in order is definitely the best way, as they add hacks and other gameplay elements. And there is some connection in the story in the sense that the “big brother is watching” grows more and more to Legion where London is under martial law and basically full dystopian. Yeah WD1 gets a lot of flak, trying to remove my bias for it, I do think it’s a good game and the best overall game in the series. Some thought it was pretty repetitive, and it definitely follows the Ubisoft open world formula. But the grounded dark story combined with the hacking/stealth gameplay. It’s definitely worth ignoring the critiques and giving it a go. 2 I feel could’ve been a masterpiece but they overcorrected the tone when people didn’t respond well to Aiden and I think the story suffers.
I woulda commented sooner but I keep passing out when I watch this video. Your content is amazing! Keep up the hard work!
