Can't wait to finish making my MMO in like 10 - 15 years and crushing everyone with my marketing strategies, looking at a game like Ashes of Creation amazes me that people actually try to make active games, but at the same time noone has really made a "progressive" game (No Tera you don't count) that integrates players directly into the storyboard and other experiences. From finding easter eggs to progress the game to beating bosses or having massive gatherings. Funny how $110 is just buying a AAA studio game that’s never going to be finished lol and you’ll have to pay another $30 for the season pass and any skin you want lol
It costs money to run servers. Your typical game isn't online. Also with how long they plan testing and wanting player feedback to make the game better wouldn't be feasible if players didn't pay server cost. You get a month free bet1 beta2 alpha2 and currency for cosmetics. I'm sure through all the testing it will be at least a couple years, the amount of fun and entertainment was well worth the money if it runs for 2 years that's $4.50 a month.
A distinction that should be made... Though it's fun this shouldn't be considered a game yet or at least nothing that should be main game. It's a test, you are testing. And the price is meant to keep non-serious testers out. It's a deterrent. There won't be a box price at launch. So if the price is too much, don't buy. If you don't want to test it, don't buy. If you're looking for an amazing game right now, don't buy.
There was a lot of good in this video, but here are some problems I felt. 1. I don't think there was a script, just rambling, which is better for streaming or podcast, but not youtube videos. 2. Out of the 6 minutes, you spent: 1:36 - 2:18 (44 sec) to say there are bugs 2:18 - 4:15 (1m57sec) the game is expensive 4:15 - 5:35 (1m20sec) "I played this game and it was ok imho" This means, that about 4 minutes was spent in saying would could be said with: "The game is still in early access, so there are many bugs, but if you like the game play it's ok. The game is also expensive, but if this is something that you might be interested, you can get at least some value for your money. I played this game and I don't regret it, would do it again." 3. The music was at times distracting and too load. Music should be felt, not heard. This is to say, the vid was ok. I would not have spent this long, to write a message if I didn't feel there was a future for this, Right now there is still quite a bit to improve though.
Good morning. I saw this comment yesterday and I've been thinking about it. I don't think you said anything particularly negative, and you took the time to write everything out. So, with that, I appreciate and respect your reply, and I think it warrants a thought out response. First off, I absolutely agree. I work with someone for my editing process, and when I was looking at the final draft of this I wasn't particularly satisfied with my recording/performance. In life I have bouts of anxiety. And while sometimes I can keep a healthy balance, there are times I cannot. When recording this video there were things I just couldn't shake off. I knew I was off, but I didn't know how to get "on." To compare a difference, I implore you to look at my other Ashes of Creation videos. Those are very high energy and positive. This video was not. And your comment shows that can be seen and felt through the content. Sure there were parts of this that were ranty, not scripted, needed more concise wording. I agree. But one of the things that separates from a lot of people is that I'm okay with something not being perfect. And this brings me to my final point: My content will never be deemed the best. I am not the best streamer, I am not the best YTer, content maker. But when you consume my content, you are watching someone that is giving their best effort at the time. I refused to get stuck in the everyday thought paralysis that inhibits people from chasing their dreams. Because of this, sometimes I will swing the bat and strike out. But that will never stop me from swinging. Coincidentally, this video is on track to become my highest viewed. Its already the most engaged with. Which is crazy haha. Not every person jives with every piece of content or every content creator. So it may just be that you don't enjoy what I'm going to put out. But, if there is some way to win you over and make you a fan. Just know I'd love that opportunity. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your words. Thank you for your thoughts. They are well received and appreciated.
@@onemanp4ck Thought the vid was good tbh and disagree with most of the above comment; I liked that you explained everything in the vid. @onemanp4ck As I said, my comment was definitely not meant as negative. The vid was good, I felt the potential, that's why I wanted to leave a comment. I am not sure if "the energy" was an issue for me, i think it was more about the vid slowing down alot towards the end.
