My shared opinion: I just finished replacing my son's T-100 cracked screen and I'd like to share a few things that's not discussed here that I ran in to. Great video wish it had sound but was able to make it through OK. The only thing that was different for me than the video is: 1) If you're watching this, you're probably replacing a cracked screen. If the screen is cracked, it will not remove like it does in the video. The screen in the video is not cracked nor does it have glue on it like mine did. I used a razor blade to remove the glass from the adhesive, one piece at a time. The glass is tempered so the middle stayed together. Once the glass was removed I used a heater and a infrared thermometer to remove the glue from the plastic frame. I kept the surface under 200 degrees Fahrenheit. This process (removing the glass and glue) took about 1 hour). Be patient; it's definitely not as quick as the video shows. 2) I had the sponges on my Digitizer and 'other' connector. They removed with no problem and I was able to stick them back on. 3) My replacement glass came with a roll of adhesive 2 sided strips. The video does not show placing this on the frame before placing the glass in the frame. You should not skip this step; hopefully your replacement glass comes with the strips. Everything else was like clockwork, great video and my screen works like new. My only complaint about this problem and NOT the video is why don't they sell the frame with the glass??? I would have paid double to get the frame to save that hour of time. The frame can not be too expensive; its just plastic with the female screw holes.
Brad Knight do you know what width the adhesive was? 5mm 10mm? I cant seem to find in the US a replacement screen that comes with the adhesive and will need to buy separately.
I followed your instructions and I got my own transformer's broken screen replaced...it took me 4 hours 'cause i'm not expert, yet without you it would have not been possible. Thank you so much! :)
I enjoyed changing out the first one of these for a friend. Realized when I took it all apart the first time, you don't have to do a full teardown to change the digitizer. You just have to heat the edges of the glass, use a guitar pick and go around it and it will pop off, pop off the back once digitizer is loose and unclip ribbon cable. clean up adhesive area, lay new tape, slide ribbon through opening on bezel, press down and make sure it's flush. put ribbon back into socket and clip down. Done. Doesn't take me more than 15 mins to change one now. I love how easy Asus made it :)
A thousand thank yous! Your video demo was so helpful. I was terrified to try this - and it took me ages, but following your lead, and replaying parts over and over, I've replaced my smashed touchscreen! When I put it all back together I panicked as it didn't seem to work other than a backlight, though I could hear Windows booting up. Anyway, I left it charging up, went to make a cuppa, and when I came up, there was the login screen! It's working!!! The touchscreen works beautifully, as does the touchpad - everything. It's AMAZING and I'm so chuffed to have done it. Thank you for your time and generous help.
Great video. I am folowing this to repair my daughters T100 and would like to share these few ideas: 1) Make a rough sketch of the motherboard and mark the screw positions before removing any of them. Then mark each location with S, M, L as the screws come in 3 different sizes. 2) Cover the broken digitizer with sticky tape to prevent splinters 3) Having read about several people who destroyed their besel with heat guns, I decided on a different approach. I left digitizer/besel in the oven at 60 C for approximately 1 hour. Then it was reasonably simple to detach the 2 parts (3 sides came of with little effort, but I had to work harder on the 4th side). Next step is to order a new digitizer from ebay...
Thank you for this video! I just successfully replaced my cracked digitizer. For those of you who melted the bezel, I used my wife's hair dryer on high with great success.
Thanks to this video and a part ordered from Amazon.com I was able to repair my sons ASUS T100 screen... which I broke while replacing the batteries. Doh! Anyway, couple of notes: 1. The screws are different, and it isn't obvious in the video but the person who made the video apparently knows which is which. I just set each screw down in a pattern matching where it came out of the machine as I removed them. That way, each screw goes back in exactly the same hole it came out of. 2. Getting the old, cracked screen out of the plastic bezel was a nightmare. I tried a heat gun, I tried baking it. In the end, I just mechanically removed it with two blades and a lot of cursing. Then I very carefully checked the adhesive to make sure there weren't any shards of broken glass in it. If you can find a bezel at anything like a reasonable price, I would strongly recommend ordering it. 3. Don't use anything metal when pulling out the battery connector. And don't pull it out by the wires the way they do in the video. Use a fingernail or a sharp bit of plastic. Ask me how I know. Doh! 4. Don't forget to peel off the protective plastic film on the inside of the touchscreen. That isn't shown in the video.
very useful guide, just replaced cracked screen on my son's T100. Be very careful with glass fragments they go everywhere, also glue was a lot tougher than expected bur well worth having a go thanks again.
As was mentioned earlier, there is no need in removing screws, etc. You just need to remove the glass in this order: 1) Remove back 2) disconnect battery and digitizer (glass) connectors 3) flip it over and heat heat the glass edges starting with a corner (my heat gun was set to 200 degrees) until you can pry it up a bit - enough to fit a guitar pick under. Now just (slowly) work it around the edge using heat, leaving a pick every so often to keep it unstuck ending with the corner with the ribbon cable which (will pull right through the slot when done). If you were careful, the tape will still be intact and you can go about reassembly.
I just did this and was successful! My tips: 1. TAKE YOUR TIME!! Watch the video full screen right through to the end at least once before starting. 2. CLEAN WORK SURFACES (no dust) 3. Place a piece of A4 paper on the table, and place each removed screw relative to the position on the tablet - this makes it a lot easier to know which screw goes where when you put it back together. 4. If you can get a replacement digitiser panel with bezel, please do (someone posted a link in the comments below) The removal of the digitiser from the bezel, though not impossible, is the trickiest part. 5. If you want to remove the bezel , set an oven to 100 deg C and place digiitiser/bezel on a baking paper lined baking tray. After about 10-15 minutes I found the glue tacky enough to easily pry apart the broken panel from the bezel. Go easy as you don't want glass everywhere. I replaced the digitiser when the glue was still warm. 6. TAKE YOUR TIME! 7. Remove any protective film off the LCD screen side (non touch side) of the new digitiser panel. 8. Don't use excessive force at any point during assembly - you don't want to crack your new screen. Make sure everything is done on a flat surface. 9. If things aren't working when you put it all together, most likely you have not rewired the touch panel, LCD screen or sound connectors properly. Please be extra careful during these last steps to ensure you have reconnected everything. Good luck!
+The Groovy Side Of the Tube Did you happen to keep your screw diagram for the board? I had my screws separated, but then my table got bumped and they got mixed up
THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! I broke my screen and didn't know where to take it to get it fixed. NOW, I fixed it all by myself with this video. though it might have taken me a little longer, I did it! oh P.S. using a hair dryer on high will detach the screen from the plastic thing. I concentrated the heat little by little and BOOM! it worked! again, thank you!!!!
I bought a few days the same T100, replacement screen was included,I didn't go this way, more cumbersome to me, I lifted the screen by using a snap off knife 1) wear safety glasses one piece of shrapnel flew a few mm near my eyes.2) use a hairdryer to get the glue softer and you can pull the screen off. 3)Removing the glue was a pain in the ass, cleansed it afterwards with white spirit. 4) Removing backcover start where the hinges and connector goes to. Use a guitar pick. Putting the back cover back first put the upperclick it to plase and then the sides and as last the bottom. It took me some 2 hours, mainly because removing the old glue was a pain the back.
Thanks for the tutorial - I would just say that the screen didn't come away from the frame easily at all! cracked the old one to pieces getting it off (and melted the corner of my frame with the heat gun... ooops)
Very helpful video. Thanks. One tip: the ZIF-sockets need to be "closed" after reconnecting the cables. Did not notice that in the video. But now my T100 is working super again..
I followed your instructions, repaired my son's T100TA last night. Your guide was very helpful, I would not have attempted the repair myself without it. The only really tricky part was separating the glass frame from the glass and saving the sticky tape. I do not think I used enough heat initially. Bit of a panic when it did not restart immediately - but after it went through its boot process it recovered fully. Got my parts from ebay - "gadgetfix"
Make sure to TAPE UP all the screen area so when you crack it open, the screen won't shatter. There were different sizes of screws. I used a permanent marker to mark on all small screw sockets, so I could be sure to put small screws back in. I also used my hairdryer to melt the glue. You need to be patient and work one small edge at a time. It worked beautifully.
Thank you so much, I fixed my device succesfully. be careful when removing the cover, I broke the Power button and I had to order a Power card for 10 euros
Thanks, just replaced the screen on mine with few problems. That glue on the front is no fun though. :) Advice to future DIY'ers, wear a set of garden gloves to help minimize your exposure to broken glass.
This video was easy to follow and extremely helpful. My only problem is, now my tablet/notebook won't come on at all. I've opened and rechecked the connections and all seems to be well. Got any advice for me?
Worked great. A very fiddly job. dont do it with a beer, go slow. I kept all the screws in bottle caps--you can tell when a short screw is needed--for shallow depth--like when there is only a thin piece of metal over the threaded screw hole. The replacement screens come with plastic protective covers--leave them on as long as possible. Try to keep the screen and digitizer very very clean--any specks will show up every time you look at the screen. Also use digitizer tape (2mm) to seal the screen and digitizer--you will see it on the original screen. Cut to fit and lift the protective plastic only enough to put the tape on. To separate the screen from the bezel (frame) heat it with a heat gun of hair dryer until it is quite hot to the touch. To separate the back of the tablet from the screen part, start at the bottom where the ports are and you can find a place to start prying it apart. When snapping it back together be sure the micro SD card is out--it will keep you from snapping the cover on. The ribbon connectors are crucial. Watch very carefully how they are released. They must go back into slots below the clasps. and have to be in up to the line on the back of the connector. Be gentle with the clasps--they are quite fragile. A small piece of foam tape over them helps protect them and seems to be present on later models. When booting it up for the first time the computer seems to take a while to figure out what's going on. Also if you forget to take off the protective plastic screen, don't be surprised if the touch screen doesnt work ;)
Hey guys. What tool is this that they are using? I really don't want to go ghetto on this job and bend the metal. I'm got a plastic pry tool from the days of working with Dell laptops, but the edge isn't remotely thin enough and would rather not use a knife and slice my finger.
Ive got the double sided tape you suggested. Is it okay to place it over the screw holes? I see that the glue might have been. But I don't want to take the risk without asking your advice first
Absolutely great tuto. I'm still waiting the touch screen digitizer to arrive and can't wait to start this repair. In another subject, can you tell me what is the bracelet you wear on? Thanks ;)
Good video, but the part where he popped out the glass using only a blade was not representative. Mine was glued in and required a very messy demolition and chiseling the shards from the bezel. Do not attempt without wearing safety glasses.
Excellent video. Got me there and back. But when I powered up I just got a faint light on the screen. Not a blue screen just a sort of backlighting. Does that ring any bells about what I might have done wrong?
+Jon Kaines if you check the connection and the connection is still good, you may have to purchase a new cable. I had to get mine off Ebay because Asus does not sell them.
can you change the hard drive in the tablet and if so what is the limit on how many gigs? i have the 32gb with the 500gb hd dock and would like too put a bigger hdd in the tablet. thx
We completed the screen switch, but now the keyboard will not connect correctly (which poses a problem seeing as we turned the touch screen off when the screen cracked). RepairMyDevice , is there particular ribbon or piece of the puzzle we should pay more attention to? Thanks for posting!
Hi i just got a s/H T100TA and fixed some issues with it and besides the regular USB port on the keyboard, how do i enter data and programs into the tablet directly. The upper micro usb is for power but what about the small HDMI port under?. Do i need a USB stick with this type of connector and then just plug it in like the USB 2/3 on the keyboard? Thanks
Thanks for the video. I replaced my screen, but now my right speaker gas a scratchy/staticy sound during any audio playback. Any clue as to what I messed up? Thanks in advance for any help.
Curious, I've gotten my replacement digitizer and have the machine apart. What temp setting was used with the heat gun? From the video it does not appear that you went all the way around the bezel with the heat and started separating the two parts from the side that didn't get heat. The machine belongs to my employer and I'd rather not knacker it by using too much heat.
helpful video . . . do you know where i can find replacement parts for a T100HA-C4-GR . . . . I have looked over amazon and ebay and it seems parts just do not exist .

Hello good video and thanks for the recommendation , do you think I could pass the original recovery ? , I need to restore a computer . Thanks for your answer.
So my screen broke, turns on and all but i see cracks, cant tell if its the LED but i bought both part, following what youve done, will it work if i do it? What should i make sure i do not do? I do not wanna pay to get it fixed if i can do it my self
Tried it but it's so hard to take off ... Mine is an aluminium base I think..has chrome borders....and can't seem to remove the cover with risking breaking the glass.
omg i just changed the screen by myself with a magical touch of my husbands hand who s an electrician and flipped a white flex up. and it worked. So , here s my story. My screen broke, and I am so dependent on my tablet that I could nt wait to go to a repair centre . I searched on amazon a screen replacement, I bought the cheapest one. The order arrived, I opened the package and I found the new screen. I unpacked and I found the screen and few screwdrivers and something like a guitar pick. I used this video to see what I have to do. Few mistakes I made. I rushed because I wanted everything done, and my tablet to be functional again.. Especially with the adhesive . Now the frame looks suspicious but is functional. I was nt very very careful with the pins. I did nt put everything in the same place, order , layer. I changed some layers and then it worked. I used my hair dryer for the adhesive. I bought 3mm adhesive for phone repair. Aaand I kept the sponge. I am all sweaty, but the effort is worth the money and the wait. Things I don t like. the lower part has like shadows and highlights . And is possible if you don t close the case well, to have ghost touchezzzzz. Good luck.
Thank you so much for posting this!!!! I have a few different Asus tablets and the Windows RT one I have broke and the s Digitizer was glued to the LED which made for a mess trying to pry it off... it was too late when I noticed and now I need to buy a new LED for that too... but the digitizers for this is relatively cheap does the ones you sell have good quality and glue/tape included? Also what is that damn tool called? I want the metal one... I've looked up pry tool on eBay but only found them in sets... great job I am now going to order mine... are you in the US?
I also have a cracked screen because the tablet fell of a table. At first I could still use it with the keyboard attached. But now when I try to use the browser and click to enter letters, it does not click to become a cursor. Any ideas if this is a matter of replacing the screen digitizer, or the lcd, or both?
Thanks for all the info... got mine fixed today... actually typing on it now to write this... the inside was a bit different, I think I got a refurbished one that was boxed as new cuz there was sponge stickers over the MB and digitizer cables.... and when I peeled them off one was cracked with a piece missing on both the power and the MB connection.... and the peace was nowhere to be found, if I broke it it would have been stuck to the sticker... weird and it kind of pisses me off, I paid full price for this damn thing... either way it was broke in the factory and not replaced... anyway it works nice now... thanks for the vid... I got to fix its cousin model the Vivotab RT but that one has the LCD stuck to the digitizer and I didn't find out till I tried to peel it and it ripped apart... got to buy them together... but at lest it will be easier to fix since its one piece... just more expensive... I would make a vid on that one but its already apart in my closet....
I had a sponge too, and when trying to peel it off I have snapped off part of one of the white levers. I don't think mine was refurbished or something, just a different batch/revision that the later ones (which also have different digitizer cables, mine is orange, I guess yours too? Did you replace it with an identical one, or different looking work equally well?).
Hi, thanks a lot for this video !! I would to replace the touch screen of my Asus Transfomer Book T100 and i can't find a touch screen. Can you help to find this parts ? Thank you :)
what could be the problem if my laptop, which is the same as yours, does not show a picture after turning it on? but the led lights up white. the cables are well connected, all of them. but it doesn't want to put a picture on the old display either, it gave it before.
I couldn't manage the part with the heater. Broke my screen from each corner and now I'm not sure what to do. Can I just buy the screen "holder"? what is the name of this part? Thank you...
I broke my wifi antenna doing the reassembly. There are two holes on the backplate that will cut the wifi cable if you don't have the cable secured down with tape or adhesive.
How can I determine what version of touch screen I have? Online I found a combined glass and bezel, but it says: "Please make sure the version of your touch screen FP-TPAY10104A-02X-H" If I understand the previous posts, this would eliminate the need to heat and delaminate the glass from the frame.
It looks like you can but why risk cracking the LED? total time is 17 min here this book costs $500 bucks take the extra 20 out of your life and do it right... I will be doing this soon I broke mine and thought that the Digitizer was glued to the LED and was waiting for a cheaper set now I see that its just lightly glued to the frame I am all over this!!!
Does the two digitizer strips (bottom right according to your video) sit on top of their connections, or do they slide underneath? My laptop won't turn on (the white light just flickers) after putting back together and i'm trying to figure out why. Any help appreciated, thanks.
Great video, although my screen is not cracked, I was wondering if anyone had had an issue with screen flickering and glitching? My device works, but it flickers while I use it and I notice little pixels everywhere on the screen. Also apps will lag the picture behind when I drag the app window around the screen either with my finger or mouse. Flickering also occurs right at boot when it shows the Windows 8.1 tiles; they flicker and move very oddly.
Can a Genius help me? I got a ASUS T100H and im not sure if i can buy a t100 digitizer. Is it the same digitizer for the t100 series or do i have to get the exact same one? I Searched the whole day and i couldnt find a t100h digitizer :( Please help me
Is there a way to replace the charging slot. On my tablet, it's ruined, so now I can't charge it. It's battery dead so I can't do anything thing on it. Please help.
i drop the tablet last night screen broken now :-(( is the digitizer the same as the lcd screen? are they one piece . the glass is broken i dont know what to buy, the screen or the digitizer please give me some help! i have asus t100ta thnk you.
the screen still works but 1/3 of the touch screen not responding to touch where the crack happened. i thought the digitizer is built into the screen for some reason.
I attempted replacement of the cracked digitizer on my Asus t100 - my mistake was that I melted the bezel because I used a heat gun on the high setting for too long. So the plastic bezel deformed a bit and I can't get the new digitizer to sit singly so the side bottoms don't work and there is a gap between bezel and digitizer in some areas. I have looked all over, waited and looked again - but no one is selling bezels from what I can see. Do you know of anywhere I can buy a new bezel?
Please help!!! After I put the replacement screen and assembled it all back together, the laptop would power on but there is no display at all... I'm so disappointed.. please help if you know what's wrong... did I not connect something right?? :( Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will hopefully save somebody the problems I had with this. First, it is accurate but what this video can't tell you (because there is no audio) is that all of the screws are NOT the same length. The way they were put in a pile suggests that they are. Second, if you have never used a heat gun (I have not) be very careful. I warped the bezel taking it off. Mine did not pop off like the one in this video. I swear it was put on with Gorilla Glue. I applied too much heat and now its useless. That part is not sold, so you have to try to find a used one or a not-working T100 and remove it from that. Be very. very careful (and patient) when separating the pieces.
well i replaced my digitizer and now i only get backlight but no display. I have it on charge thinking it might just be out of charge since it has been a couple weeks since i broke my digitizer. I have checked the small zif and pulled it out and put it back in making sure it is fully sunk and secure. the wide socket i did the same with. the power light flashes several times and the cam light comes on like it is booting. think i may have to pull it apart again and see if there is something pulled under the lcd.
Dalia Idris well. What I had learned from transformer forums was that ribbon cable needs to be pushed down. I ended up having to tape it down. I then cut a 1/4inch x 1/4inch x1/2inch piece of stiff sponge. Then I used a 1/2inch toothpick made from plastic. this gave enough pressure to keep the ribbon cable down and enough flexibility to not be an issue.
Dalia Idris the larger one is the digitizer. The small one is the lcd. Leaving the back off power on the tablet. Push on the small ribbon cable towards the front as you look at the lcd and it should start displaying. If it doesnt. Power down. Remove the battery and make sure the ribbon is fully inserted to the line. Then try again
Dalia Idris I would find something that isn't so rigid. You just need a little pressure. Think Ballon not brick. The tack is probably not very safe but should be ok for a day or so.
amigo soy de Monterrey i quisiera saber donde conseguiste la pantalla que parece que por todo Mty no existe ello .. porfavor o alguien que me pueda decir donde es que puedo conseguir la pantalla para una ASUS aqi en Monterrey México ...
Phillip Ramirez Why ru lying and misinforming people. If they are smart enough to put a digiitzer together, they're smart enough to pop the socket and replacing it.

I saw that part about heating and I know I’m going to be cursing too when I’ll do this

That has got to be the greatest commentary I've ever heard on a TH-cam video. Awesome video!! Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial -
I would just say that the screen didn't come away from the frame easily at all! cracked the old one to pieces getting it off (and melted the corner of my frame with the heat gun... ooops)
Thanks! My Asus is successfully repaired now :) It's a little big harder than it looks on the video, especially when you do this for the first time.
THX a lot - use 've saved my Tablet! Everything works, step by step, as described! Just to little covers, i 've had to remove additionally.
+Emil Nygård let me know what you find becuase i got the same thing
+Jon Kaines if you check the connection and the connection is still good, you may have to purchase a new cable. I had to get mine off Ebay because Asus does not sell them.
+Emil Nygård sorry to hear that man
+Degu1 the cable connecting the lcd (not the touch screen) to the motherboard
+Degu1 the one to the right of the double one connecting the touchscreen
can you change the hard drive in the tablet and if so what is the limit on how many gigs? i have the 32gb with the 500gb hd dock and would like too put a bigger hdd in the tablet. thx
We completed the screen switch, but now the keyboard will not connect correctly (which poses a problem seeing as we turned the touch screen off when the screen cracked).
RepairMyDevice , is there particular ribbon or piece of the puzzle we should pay more attention to?
Thanks for posting!
best result for my search, thanx 4 the help
Thankyou! today your video saved my device!
Do you have to take the whole thing apart or can use the heat gun on the corners and just pry the digitizer off?
Curious, I've gotten my replacement digitizer and have the machine apart. What temp setting was used with the heat gun? From the video it does not appear that you went all the way around the bezel with the heat and started separating the two parts from the side that didn't get heat. The machine belongs to my employer and I'd rather not knacker it by using too much heat.
Do we need to heat first or direct use the opener?
helpful video . . .
do you know where i can find replacement parts for a T100HA-C4-GR . . . .
I have looked over amazon and ebay and it seems parts just do not exist .
Hello good video and thanks for the recommendation , do you think I could pass the original recovery ? , I need to restore a computer . Thanks for your answer.
The screen of my T103H was cracked, do you have another video teaching how to replace the screen of T103H? Thanks a lot.
great, thank You very much, now broken touch screen works again.
Could this same teardown be used to upgrade my devices specs?
So my screen broke, turns on and all but i see cracks, cant tell if its the LED but i bought both part, following what youve done, will it work if i do it? What should i make sure i do not do? I do not wanna pay to get it fixed if i can do it my self
nice. i too need a replacment screen. thank you, i know how now. good job
Excellent video, well done.
Replacement screen broke seconds after assembly though. Don't get one from ebay.
Tried it but it's so hard to take off ... Mine is an aluminium base I think..has chrome borders....and can't seem to remove the cover with risking breaking the glass.
Is this the model with the 500 gig hdd in the keyboard? If it is can the hdd be swapped out for 1 tb hdd? Cool vid!!
+Galimir Nund yes you can. but you need a hdd with an hight of max. 7mm.
Galimir Nund I have the same problem!
Hi, do I need to use additional glue install the new digitizer on the bezel? If yes, what kind of glue should I buy?
Hello! My touch screen with golden cable (ASUS Transformer Book T100TA 10.1"). Can I use touch screen with black cable?
shop.repair-my-device.com/tools/10-x-50m-red-double-sided-transparent-tape-ultra-strong
This is to replace the double sided tape if is needed
omg i just changed the screen by myself
with a magical touch of my husbands hand who s an electrician and flipped a white flex up. and it worked.
Good luck.
Excellent, detailed tutorial. Too bad there is no sound or tips. Be careful not to melt your bezel when removing the old glass!
Thank you so much for posting this!!!! I have a few different Asus tablets and the Windows RT one I have broke and the s
Digitizer was glued to the LED which made for a mess trying to pry it off... it was too late when I noticed and now I need to buy a new LED for that too... but the digitizers for this is relatively cheap does the ones you sell have good quality and glue/tape included? Also what is that damn tool called? I want the metal one... I've looked up pry tool on eBay but only found them in sets... great job I am now going to order mine... are you in the US?

Do you have a guide/video for disarming T100HA?
パソコンを開けるのに使っているものは何ですか?
What did you use to open the PC?
Did you replace it with an identical one, or different looking work equally well?).
that was an excellent vid. thank you so much mate.
Hi, thanks a lot for this video !!
I would to replace the touch screen of my Asus Transfomer Book T100 and i can't find a touch screen. Can you help to find this parts ?
Thank you :)

Min 2.40 to remove the battery connector was a question mark. Thanks
what could be the problem if my laptop, which is the same as yours, does not show a picture after turning it on? but the led lights up white. the cables are well connected, all of them. but it doesn't want to put a picture on the old display either, it gave it before.
I couldn't manage the part with the heater. Broke my screen from each corner and now I'm not sure what to do.
Can I just buy the screen "holder"? what is the name of this part?
Thank you...
What is that device that looks like a Dremel tool that you applied to the side of the screen? Some sort of heater?
It's a heat gun so he can separate the frame from the screen!
Is the screen the same for the T100TA-B1 and the C1. Looking for a replacement screen.
Yes they are the same if you want to be sure you can open the unit and provide me the serial no from the part so i can check
Regards
What should i do if the screen digitizer itself, the black one at 6:34, is glued to the screen component?
I broke my wifi antenna doing the reassembly. There are two holes on the backplate that will cut the wifi cable if you don't have the cable secured down with tape or adhesive.
hello, Can i broke only the display but touch and glass are perfect. Can i replace only the display?
How can I determine what version of touch screen I have? Online I found a combined glass and bezel, but it says: "Please make sure the version of your touch screen FP-TPAY10104A-02X-H" If I understand the previous posts, this would eliminate the need to heat and delaminate the glass from the frame.
I have the same laptop & my screen is cracked where can I buy the screen replacement?? can you send me the link please & thank you!
Is it possible to use this screen in a Raspberry or with an HDMI?
is it possible to replace a cracked glass with only removing the back cover and disconnecting the zif connector?
The
***** Hi Simon. I have exactly the same problem you describe here. Did you sort the problem out? (any help would be greatly appreciated)
what parts do I need when the touch function is not working anymore (besides a crack in the glass from top to bottom)?
Great video, although my screen is not cracked, I was wondering if anyone had had an issue with screen flickering and glitching? My device works, but it flickers while I use it and I notice little pixels everywhere on the screen. Also apps will lag the picture behind when I drag the app window around the screen either with my finger or mouse. Flickering also occurs right at boot when it shows the Windows 8.1 tiles; they flicker and move very oddly.
I can't get it to register the digitizer. It was installed correctly. Is it possible I got a faulty one?
Hello, I dont know much about this stuff...I got the t100ta-b1-gr
Can I use this screen for my model too?
It depends of the touch screen version, you need to check the part no from the touch screen flex
Thank you, it was very helpful
Can a Genius help me? I got a ASUS T100H and im not sure if i can buy a t100 digitizer. Is it the same digitizer for the t100 series or do i have to get the exact same one? I Searched the whole day and i couldnt find a t100h digitizer :( Please help me
Thank you ! Perfect!
emmc is upgradable?
Is the digitizer the same on the asus vivotab me400c
No is not the same
what are the tools to do this and where can I buy them ?
Do you know where you can buy the Frame / Bezel that the digitizer
We had in stock, and we will get more in march
Is there a way to replace the charging slot. On my tablet, it's ruined, so now I can't charge it. It's battery dead so I can't do anything thing on it. Please help.
i drop the tablet last night screen broken now :-(( is the digitizer the same as the lcd screen? are they one piece . the glass is broken i dont know what to buy, the screen or the digitizer please give me some help! i have asus t100ta thnk you.
+CopyCat if your screen turns on, then all you need is the digitizer. If your screen does not turn on, you likely need both.
the screen still works but 1/3 of the touch screen not responding to touch where the crack happened. i thought the digitizer is built into the screen for some reason.
can this process be done to the asus tf300
Does it use a ssd and what type of ram does it have
I attempted replacement of the cracked digitizer on my Asus t100 - my mistake was that I melted the bezel because I used a heat gun on the high setting for too long.
We will bring in stock soon for the moment we don't have any
RepairMyDevice Yep same here ! :(
www.ebay.com/itm/Digitizer-Touch-Screen-Glass-For-10-1-ASUS-Transformer-Book-T100-T100TA-C1-GR-/251714295792?pt=Other_Tablet_eReader_Accessories&hash=item3a9b5757f0
tlaloc1525 We are looking for the plastic bezel, that is the part between the digitizer glass and the lcd screen.
Use double sided tape and reheat the bezel, just keep an eye on it or use super glue only in the raised areas.....and sit some weight on it.
Does anyone know if the bezel that repairmydevice propose is also good for the asus t100?thank u
I live in america. What would the price be to mail it in and have you guys fix it?
Cause I have the same tablet(I stepped on it)
Not 100 percent on the exact model, but it looks the same. Keyboard dock and all. Definitely a transformer.
Great video, thanks a lot.
Can upgrade RAM 2GB to 4GB for this laptop?
Please help!!! After I put the replacement screen and assembled it all back together, the laptop would power on but there is no display at all... I'm so disappointed.. please help if you know what's wrong... did I not connect something right?? :( Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what devise you using to record this
I will hopefully save somebody the problems I had with this.
Dalia Idris I ended up using both the sponge on the ribbon side to protect the ribbon
Phillip Ramirez thanks for the prompt reply - the ribbon cable you are referring to - is it the small one or the large one?
Dalia Idris the larger one is the digitizer. The small one is the lcd. Leaving the back off power on the tablet. Push on the small ribbon cable towards the front as you look at the lcd and it should start displaying. If it doesnt. Power down. Remove the battery and make sure the ribbon is fully inserted to the line. Then try again
Dalia Idris I would find something that isn't so rigid. You just need a little pressure. Think Ballon not brick. The tack is probably not very safe but should be ok for a day or so.
if I attempted that it would never work again. my screens cracked but it still works.
amigo soy de Monterrey i quisiera saber donde conseguiste la pantalla que parece que por todo Mty no existe ello .. porfavor o alguien que me pueda decir donde es que puedo conseguir la pantalla para una ASUS aqi en Monterrey México ...
can you replace the SSD to 128gb and the ram to 4gb?
I would like to know this as well. Also wondering, is the processor part of the motherboard hardware or is it removable too ? Upgrades all the way.
No. The proc is a soc and not replaceable
+١
Phillip Ramirez Why ru lying and misinforming people. If they are smart enough to put a digiitzer together, they're smart enough to pop the socket and replacing it.
William Yates IV so let's see your video replacing the soc. Where are you buying the soc? Come on now. Show us how easy it is.
